Since 1970s, linear models such as autoregressive (AR), moving average (MA), autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA), etc. have been popular for time series data analyze and prediction. Meanwhile, artificial neural networks (ANNs), inspired by connectionism bio-informatics, have been showing their powerful abilities of function approximation, pattern recognition, dimensionality reduction, and so on since 1980s. Recently, deep belief nets (DBNs) which use multiple restricted Boltzmann machines (RBMs) and multi-layered perceptron (MLP) are proposed as time series predictors. In this study, a hybrid prediction method using DBNs and ARIMA is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed by the experiments using CATS benchmark data and chaotic time series data.

常同的発話を呈した,語新作ジャルゴン失語 (neologistic jargon : Kerteszら 1970) の症例を経験したので報告する。本症例の発話には,呈示刺激や場面が変わっても同一の無関連語 (irrelevant word) が出現し,その無関連語を中心として,音韻的および意味的に関連した「語」が変化しつつ繰り返されるという常同的な特徴がみられた。この音韻的・意味的に類似した「語」への変化・反復のパターンは,語新作ジャルゴン失語における,音韻論的・意味論的解体を示唆するものであり,特に,本症例の常同的発話においては,これらの解体が同時に現象として現れていた。われわれは,この音韻論的および意味論的解体を呈する常同的発話の出現機序について,Dell (1986) およびMartinら (1992) の「相互拡散活性化モデル」 (interactive spreading activation model) を用いて,認知神経言語学的考察を試みた。

本論文はシルクロード東部地域を代表する都市遺跡・高昌故城を取り上げ,従来は不正確とみなされていた地図を位相的な特徴に基づき解釈する方法を提案し,現在では所在が不明となっている探険隊調査遺構を同定できることを示す.約100 年前,日欧のシルクロード探検はこの遺跡を発掘調査し,仏教・マニ教キリスト教の遺物など多彩な出土物を獲得した.中でも特にドイツのグリュンウェーデルの調査報告は,時期の早さと細かな平面図を残していることから最も重要な報告とされている.しかしこの地図は歪みが大きく,我々は報告書と現地の遺構と照らし合わせてもどの遺構を記録したのかほとんど把握することができないという問題に遭遇してきた.本論文ではこの問題を解決するために,地図の性質に着目し地図の持つ位相的な特徴に基づいて読み解く方法を提案し,これを「地図史料批判」と呼ぶ.まず我々はグリュンウェーデルとスタインの地図を現況と比較するためにKMLファイルを作成した.さらに歪みの大きい地図の詳細な比較を支援するツールとして古地図と現代地図をピン刺し(pinning)した地点を基準に重ね合わせることができる「マッピニング(Mappinning)」を開発した.次に,地図の位相的な解釈を行う方法を提案し,平面図や古写真と現代写真,地図を使うことで古代都市遺跡の遺構同定が進むことを示す.そして最後にこれらのデータを遺跡データベースとして蓄積する構想を述べ,こうしたデータベースが歴史学・考古学に持つ意義を述べる.

本稿は,生活保護制度における援助に関する議論を自立概念に注目して吟味することから,生活保護制度のゆくえに関わって検討すべき点を考察するものである.生活保護制度の在り方に関する専門委員会の論議を起点とし,自立支援という観点から制度の根本的な見直しを進めるならば,自立という概念が援助の在り方と関係して問題になると考える.専門委員会で自立支援を議論する過程には曲折がみられたが,最終報告書で自立支援を定義し決着した.この定義は,自立支援プログラムの作成を通じて具体化すると考え,一例として板橋区の自立支援プログラム作成を検討した.その結果,自立に経済的自立だけでなく日常生活自立と社会生活自立を想定することは,制度の目的変更を迫るものであると考えた.見直されていく制度は,現行制度の"保護"という考えにそぐわず,自立支援の取り組みと同時に"保護"に替わる概念を構想する必要がある.

Indicating forecast of Learning through Experiencing Nature (LEN) from environmental education has become an urgent task for education in Japan. In this article, discussion is reviewed reflectively to explore the direction for solving the task.   In the first chapter, we organized social needs for LEN identified in domestic and overseas measures. In the second chapter, taking LEN for nurturing youth, we categorized it with regards to (1) object and practicing subject, (2) learning aims of educational fields, and (3) LEN programs. In the third chapter, focusing on training leaders, we indicated that people in the local community can be leaders as well as school teachers, and leading actor in school education.   In conclusion, we stated three points; (1) the requirements for accumulation of empirical research in nurturing youth like clarification of the relationship between LEN and competence, (2) research and development with new viewpoints which are training leader as “interpreters” who can be communicators eliciting people's positive world view of nature, and (3) framing system which have a view to the relationship between LEN and local systems of environmental education for sustainable and symbiotic community development.

A hierarchical data analysis was conducted using data from couples to examine how self-reports of interactions between partners in romantic relationships predict the quality of the relationships. Whereas the social exchange theory has elucidated the quality of relationships from the individual level of subjectivity, this study focused on the structure of interactions between the partners (i. e., the frequency, strength, and diversity) through a process of inter-subjectivity at the couple level. A multilevel covariance structure analysis of 194 university students involved in romantic relationships revealed that the quality of relationships was mainly related to the strength and the diversity of interactions at the couple level, rather than the strength of interactions at the individual level. These results indicate that the inter-subjective process in romantic relationships may primarily explain the quality of relationships.
