Control principle and evaluation method for thermal environment with the thermal manikin are described in this paper. Under the still air conditions, nude and clothed thermal manikin was exposed to measure skin temperatures and heat loss. Combined heat transfer coefficient for nude conditions were estimated and they were not depended on the surrounding temperatures and its averaged value was 7.9 W/m^2℃. Those at foot and hand were bigger than other parts and thigh and crotch were smaller. The method to calculate PMV from total heat loss was described. Estimation of clo value from heat loss, skin temperature of manikin, and equivalent temperature were discussed here.

古文書画像を対象にした翻刻支援システムの構築を行っている。本稿では、文字認識の対象となる標題画像の射影ヒストグラムから推定した探索範囲に対して、文字パターン辞書から取り出した文字パターンを探索範囲内の最大文字幅で正規化しテンプレートとしてマッチングを行う、切り出しを前提としない認識手法について述べる。本手法を用いた実験では、近世の借金等証文類を中心にした『伏見屋善兵衛文書』(約1 900点、大阪市立大学所蔵)から200標題(及び、辞書に存在しない文字、又はサンプル数の少ない文字が含まれる標題を除く151標題)を対象として認識実験を行い、翻刻結果とする候補文字の抽出を行った。結果は、認識後の候補文字の抽出における認識率は、59.5%(69.7%)の結果であった。そこで設定に失敗した探索範囲を分析し、文字パターン辞書に含まれる特異な形状をもつ文字種に対する正規化、および先頭文字における適切な探索範囲を再設定する改良によって、候補文字の抽出においては70.4%(83.1%)の結果が得られた。We have developed a transliteration assisting system which recognizes the character in the document written by calligraphic brush in the historical materials.This paper describes new recognizing scheme which tries to recognize the character without segmentation in the search area estimated from the projection histogram in a title image. A template image, which is a character pattern image extracted from the character pattern dictionary, before template-matching is normalized to be adjusted to a width of character pattern in the searching area after extracting from the dictionary. In an experiment for recognizing 200 titles(151 titles for eliminating them with few character patterns in the dictionary) in the Fushimiya Document, the recognizing rate was 59.5%(69.7%). Furthermore, in the experiment by improving the appropriate normalization for some characters with special shape, and the connection for joining divided searching areas at first character in title image, the result of the recognizing rate was 70.4%(83.1%).

本研究では,静脈穿刺時の上肢温罨法の効果について検討した.静脈穿刺時の静脈怒張を評価する場合,駆血の影響を考慮する必要がある.そこで,適切な駆血条件を設定し温熱刺激による血管怒張を評価した.まず,実験室内で健常人を対象に5分間の簡便な上肢温罨法を考案し,有意な血管拡張が得られることを確認した.次に,血液透析患者23名に対してクロスオーバーデザインの臨床介入試験を実施した.その結果,シャント穿刺時に温罨法を実施した場合,1回での穿刺成功率は100%であったが,非温罨法時の穿刺成功率は91%であった.以上より,上肢温罨法による血管拡張効果を認め,看護援助としても有用である可能性が示唆された.

北大東島の礁性堆積物は,大東層と海軍棒層からなる.大東層は3つのユニットに区分される.ユニット1は主にframestoneよりなり,中央盆地に分布する.ユニット2はユニット1を不整合に覆い,2つのサブユニットから構成される.下位のサブユニット2aは,島外縁の環状丘陵地の主体をなし,主にframestoneよりなる礁芯相と,中央盆地縁辺部の急崖に露出しmdstoneの卓越する背礁相からなる.上位のサブユニット2bは,島の最高所付近に露出するframestoneとpackstoneからなる.ユニット3は東海岸に点在し,斜交層理の発達したoackstoneよりなり,下位層を不整合に覆う.海軍棒層は東海岸の標高10m以下に分布し,framestoneからなる.ユニット1は卓礁の堆積物である.サブユニット2a堆積時には,厚い環礁堆積物が形成されたが,その後,礁は著しく減退した.ユニット3堆積時,島の東部に浅瀬や造礁サンゴのパッチが広かった.海軍棒層は小規模な裾礁の堆積物である.

Recent overpopulation of the sika deer (Cervus nippon) in Hokkaido has resulted in expansion of their distribution from eastern to western parts of this island. To assess changes of genetic population structures of the Hokkaido sika deer, mitochondrial DNA control sequences (602 base-pairs) from 283 animals collected from central and western Hokkaido were analyzed. Based on transitional substitutions (A < - > G) at four nucleotide sites, five haplotypes were identified. One haplotype was newly found in the present study, and the other four haplotypes referred to those reported previously. The distribution patterns of haplotypes showed characteristic changes of genetic population structures, compared with the past distribution of haplotypes. In northern Hokkaido, for instance, the population around the Okhotsk Sea-coastal region has clearly expanded to the Japan Sea-coastal region. The population around the Ishikari-lowlands and the Hidaka mountains has increased within these areas, and it is not likely that the increase is directly caused by the immigration from eastern Hokkaido.

本稿では、広島東洋カープが二軍の本拠地を置く山口県の由宇町を事例として、プロスポーツを軸とした地域おこしの取り組みについて考察を試みた。関係者への聞き取り調査に加えて、2008年8月に由宇練習場の観客を対象とした大量調査を実施し、観客の構成や集客上の問題点、地域への波及効果に関して分析を行った。この調査データは、スポーツファンの研究においても基礎資料ともなるものである。商工会や観光協会を中心に結成された広島東洋カープ由宇協力会は、イベント開催などの取り組みを行っており、二軍チーム専門の応援団である広島東洋カープ由宇応援隊も様々な活動を行っている。これらは一定の成果を上げており、「由宇球場が好き」という回答は観客の7割近くを占める。しかし、由宇練習場の位置付けがあくまでも「練習場」であることから、観客のための設備は不十分な状態にあり、公共交通機関によるアクセスの悪さや駐車場不足などの問題も抱えている。また、現地での物販が制限されていることから、観客の需要が高いにも関わらず、直接的な経済効果はほとんど上がっていない。また、由宇町が当初期待していた既存の観光資源との相乗効果も生まれていない現状にあるが、調査結果ではPR 方法の工夫などによりこうした現状が変化する可能性があることも示された。In this paper, the author looks at a case of regional vitalization with a professional sport, withan example of the town of Yuu, Yamaguchi Prefecture, in which the farm of the professionalbaseball team is based.In addition to interviews with people involved, the author conducted a mass survey of audienceat the Yuu stadium in August 2008, to analyze the composition of the audience, problems inattracting audience and the ripple effects on the town.The approach has accomplished certain achievements; however, facilities for the audiencein the stadium ― a mere practice ground ― remain insufficient, and the access by publictransportation and parking space is limited. Also, because the sales of merchandise in the stadium are restricted, there are few direct economic effects in the town, despite demands fromthe audience.The synergetic effects with existing local tourism resources are yet to come ; however, theresults of the survey show the possibility that the circumstance may change with, for example,a twist of publicity.

Dancing is indispensable to Dominican life. At the same time, the popularity of Hip Hop has been influential to the youth in the Dominican neighborhood in New York City. This paper explores how the learning of Dominican dances has affected the youth in terms of the knowing of "how to move". I examine the developing desire of the youth for finding of African and Dominican styles in quotidian lives, as well as in Hip Hop and Dominican dance lessons, as a result of the learning of dances. The experiences as blacks in the US society are certainly implicated in their findings of "African" styles. Paying attentions to the achievements through the dance practices, such as self-esteem and sophisticated eyes towards bodily movements, I point out the subjective construction of being a person as Dominican and as black in their daily negotiations. Moreover, the bodily experience, characterized as "flow" invites them to learn more about the activities that involve their bodies, which in this case, dancing. In observing the people in the neighborhood, they have come to be aware of essential bodily styles that are expressed in behaviors and gestures. And they have implicitly studied it through the dances both in Dominican dances and Hip Hop. Through this whole process, they developed "bodily bilingualism", motivated by the dance lessons. The "bodily bilingualism" further promotes the adhesion to their living in the Hip Hop world in the Dominican neighborhood.

次世代シーケンサーの実用化により,ゲノム配列情報の大量産生が日常的となっており,臨床情報とゲノム情報を結びつけた医療ビッグデータの利活用の促進が期待される.これにより,ヘルスケア分野において革命的イノベーションが起こり,先端医療技術,先端医療情報の社会一般への還元が進むことが期待される.本稿では,これら医療分野に置ける特に,ビッグデータ利活用の現状を医療と技術の両面から概説し,特に,原因が不明でエビデンスに基づく有効な診断法の存在しない精神神経系疾患への展開について紹介する.

Androidアプリケーションの実利用環境において利用可能なアプリ消費電力の評価手法を提案する.本手法は,スマートフォンを構成する各ハードウェアコンポーネントの特性と消費電力の関係から生成した端末の消費電力モデルを用いることで,アプリ消費電力の推定を可能にする.本論文では,近年の端末の消費電力を妥当な精度で推定できること,推定に必要なログ収集の負荷が低いことを要件とした評価手法を実現するため,マルチコアCPUやモバイル無線インタフェースとその特徴を考慮したモデル拡張を行う.提案本手法において,一般的なアプリ利用のシナリオを対象に10%前後の誤差で電力推定できること,3.8%程度の低いオーバヘッドでログ収集が実現できることを確認した.
