旧制東京文理科大学における朝永先生の極めて少数のクラスの学部学生の一人として,先生から受けた教育および卒業後,所謂「金曜コロキウム」において経験した厳しい研究指導を具体例に即して述べる.併せて先生の品格あって温く,ユーモアのセンス豊かなお人柄を紹介する.

It is important jobs to change diapers for a bedridden patient. Changing diapers hurts prides of the patient, so that a panty toilet, that can be worn to the patient, is of importance, in which feces and urine are washed automatically. In this study, a new-type automatic washing panty toilet system is presented. The system consists of a rubber made panty toilet with tubes at both thighs and a torso, and the control system. In the panty toilet, air expands the tubes, and water leakage is prevented when washing water being inserted in the toilet. Warm air dries in the panty toilet after washing. The control system is constructed, which washes in the toilet automatically. Experimental tests have been performed. It is ascertained that the proposed system is applicable, in principle, for practical use.

我々は, 短編推理小説を例にとり計算機による小説の自動理解の研究を進めている。計算機に小説を理解させる場合には, 明示されている言語情報から作成される論理的構造を, 読者が持っている常識, 登場人物の心理等の様々な命題によって補完し, 統合的な論理的体系を構築する必要がある。言語情報から作成される論理的構造は, 文の因果・含意関係によって表現されることが多く, これらを文章間で連鎖することで, 文章全体の論理的体系の構築が可能になると思われる。本報告では, 文中から因果・含意を表わす語を手がかりとして, 因果・含意関係(以下, このような関係を「因果的関係」と呼ぶ)にある文の抽出と分析について述べる。

長崎市内のY小学校の子どもの実態調査を行った.この調査結果からも,子どものからだのおかしさは「朝からあくび」,「登校時のフリッカー値の低下」に代表される「大脳系の問題」と「からだの防御反応」に関する反射系の問題, 「いすにすわっているとき,背もたれによりかかったり,ほおづえをついたりする」ということに代表される「背筋力,すなわち体幹の筋肉系の低下」の問題が中心であるようにおもわれる.The purpose of the present investigations was to examine the problems occurring in the body of child of the Y elementary school in Nagasaki City. The present investigations showed that many male and female children are yawnning from the mornig and their flicker values also decrease at the time when they go to school. Therefore, these results may show the decrease in awakening of cerebral cortex system. Furthermore, from the present results it seems that the decline of reflex system, which contributes to the defensive reation of the body of child, occurs in mamy male and female children. In addition, the present results showed that many male and female children are resting on the back of chair and supporting the cheek with the hands, when sitting on the chair. It seems likely that these results are due to the decline of back strength.

Web上で必要な情報へのアクセス手段として、中心的な役割を担っているのがgoogle goo Lycosなどに代表されるロボット型Web検索エンジンである。これらの検索エンジンが日々変化し続けるWebに対応していく為には、新しいページの収集、更新チェックなど多大なメンテナンスを必要とする。一方で、検索結果があまりに膨大すぎて必要な情報を探すのに困難を伴う場合もあるし、全ての検索エンジンが同一の情報を収集しているわけではないので、或る検索エンジンでは存在しなかった情報も別の検索エンジンを利用すると発見できる場合もある。本稿では、検索能力の強化と発見しにくい情報へのアクセス支援を目的に、複数の検索エンジンを併用し、検索結果を階層的にクラスタリングしてユーザに提供するシステムであるMETALを提案する。It is search engines represented by google, goo, Lycos, and so on that shoulders a leading role as an access means to the necessary information on the Web. A lot of maintenance, such as collection of new Web pages and renewal check, is necessary for these search engines to cope with the Web changing continually. On the other hand, sometimes, it is difficult to find necessary information because of enormous search results. One search engine may be able to find what another can't because different search engines collect different kinds of information. In this paper, we propose a meta search engine which uses more than one search engine at the same time for improving recall, and cluster search results for supporting users to find their necessary information more easily.
