This report examines the origin of the immortals that appeared in Fengshen Yanyi. The authors of FengshenYanyi did not understand Taoist and Buddhist scriptures, so they compiled the book based on folk literary works such as popular novels and drama scripts. Immortals such as Taiyi Zhenren and Guangchengzi often appear in the drama.

「いかなる新生児も後遺症無く生存させる」この命題は新生児医療が発展した現在においても周産期医療全体の最大の課題である。我々はこの命題に挑むべく、ヒト胎盤循環を模した体外式呼吸循環補助装置である「人工子宮・人工胎盤システム」をヒツジ胎仔を用いた実験で研究開発し、数々の成果を挙げている。そこで、この「人工子宮・人工胎盤システム」を用いたさらなる挑戦として、妊娠中に子宮内で増悪する胎児形態異常疾患を想定し、人工子宮・人工胎盤管理下で胎児治療を試みたいと考えた。本研究は、ヒツジ胎仔を用いて人工子宮・人工胎盤管理下で胎仔の開腹手術を行い、その可能性と安全性について評価する研究である。

During the Oil Nationalization Movement of the early 1950s, Iran’s oil was boycotted by the British and major oil companies, which brought a lot of financial hardship to the government of Prime Minister Mossadegh. A few medium-scale oil companies tried to buy and transport it to the market, including Japanese Idemitsu Kosan. It was a very risky but highly profitable deal for them, because Iran gave large discounts to the buyers. However, after Mossadegh’s downfall and the establishment of the Zahedi government, the deal faced problems. Iran could not or would not easily accept the discounted rate requested by Idemitsu.In approximately 1954, the Japanese government intervened to support Idemitsu, including by writing letters to the Foreign Ministry. Below is one of those letters, which has been translated from Farsi to Japanese, that was sent to Dr. Ardalan, the Foreign Minister of Iran, in September 1956. In the letter, Japan demanded that the Iranians keep their obligations and promises and offered a long-term oil deal with special conditions. In the article, I describe the background and details of the deal, explain the Japanese government’s position regarding the Idemitsu deal, and shed some light on Japan’s energy diplomacy.

関西若年層が使用する文末形式クナイについて,自然傍受による用例収集と大学生対象のアンケート調査をもとに,韻律的・形態的・構文的特徴および文法的意味を中心に考察した。イ形容詞の否定疑問形式に由来するクナイは,疑問上昇調のイントネーションを伴い,主として動詞の基本形に後続することが多い。意味的には本来の<否定>としての機能を失っており,<同意要求>に特化したモダリティ形式である。関西におけるこのようなクナイの成立には,動詞述語の二重否定(疑問)形式であるンクナイ・ヘンクナイがすでに定着していたこと,および<同意要求>にコトナイという形式が使われていたことが関わっている。また,クナイを東京のことばと捉えている話者がおり,東京語化に対する抵抗感がクナイの浸透を阻む可能性もある。

Visual-tactile synchronization or visual-motor synchronization makes a non-native body feel like one’s own body (illusory body ownership). Although previous studies have shown that body ownership can be induced in multiple bodies, it is unclear whether body ownership switches between bodies or is generated in multiple bodies simultaneously. We hypothesized that if body ownership is generated in multiple bodies simultaneously, the perception of affordance for aperture pass-ability will change corresponding to the number of bodies. This study investigated whether two avatars moving synchronously with the participant’s movements could induce body ownership in multiple avatars and whether this could change the affordance perception. The results showed that two avatars induced weaker body ownership than one avatar. However, the affordance perception did not change regardless of the number of bodies. One possibility is that the body ownership switched between the two avatars. Thus, even if the body ownership for one body switches between bodies, all the multiple bodies are may still be experienced as one’s own body.

Dietary supplementation with an essential amino acid L-lysine has been shown to reduce chronic anxiety in humans with low dietary intake of L-lysine. A combination of L-lysine and L-arginine has been documented to normalize hormonal stress responses in humans with high trait anxiety. The present study was carried out in one hundred eight healthy Japanese adults. The aim of study was to find out whether a week-long oral treatment with L-lysine (2.64 g per day) and L-arginine (2.64 g per day) reduces trait and stress-induced state anxiety and basal levels of stress hormones. We confirmed that, without regard to gender, the amino acid treatment significantly reduced both trait anxiety and state anxiety induced by cognitive stress battery. In addition, we found that the treatment with L-lysine and L-arginine decreased the basal levels of salivary cortisol and chromogranin-A (a salivary marker of the sympatho-adrenal system) in male subjects. These results of this double-blind, placebo controlled and randomized study confirm the previous findings in humans and animals and point to a combination of L-lysine and L-arginine as a potentially useful dietary intervention in otherwise healthy humans with high subjective levels of mental stress and anxiety.

本稿では,不等式を満たすチョコレートゲームの必勝法解析について述べる.チョコレートゲームは,Robin が提案したゲームであり,組み合わせゲームである CHOMP の変種であるが,CHOMP と異なるのは,必勝法が計算できるタイプが多数存在することである.長方形のチョコレートは,伝統的な石取りゲームと数学的に同値であるが,私達が研究するチョコレートゲームは,座標間に不等式の関係が成立しているものであり,そのチョコレートに対してグランディ数を求める公式を導出した.本稿では,私達の研究しているチョコレートゲームの説明,数学的背景,そしてモバイル端末向けに作成したチョコレートゲームについて述べる.
