本稿の目的は、戦後日本における自営業の職業構成の趨勢を対数線形・対数乗法モデルとイベントヒストリー分析によって明らかにすることである。日本の自営業は販売職や熟練職の比率の高さが一つの特徴として知られてきた。そうした自営業は1980年代の後半以降に減少してきたが、近年は専門職が増加することによって自営業の職業構成が変化の途上にあることが指摘されてきた。ところが、自営業の職業構成が長期的にどのように変化してきたのかについてはほとんど研究がなされていない。そこで本稿では、自営業と専門職の関連の強度が1955年から2015年にかけて常時雇用と比べると次第に強まったのか、個人の職業移動において専門的・技術的職業の自営業(自営専門職)への参入が他の職種の自営業への参入に比べて近年になるほど生じやすくなっているのかを、1955年から2015年に実施された社会階層と社会移動全国調査データの二次分析によって検討する。分析の結果、次の二点が明らかになった。第一に、自営業と専門職の結びつきは職業構造の変動の影響を考慮したとしても、1955年から2015年にかけて強まっていることがわかった。第二に、自営専門職への参入は近年になるほど生じやすい傾向が高まっているのに対して、販売職や熟練職の自営業への参入は生じにくい傾向となっていることが示された。以上の結果を踏まえると、自営業の職業構成は徐々に専門職化していると判断することができる。

The purpose of this study was to correlate test bolus (TB) parameters and patient information and cardiac function with main bolus (MB) contrast density for 64-slice computed tomography, and to evaluate MB contrast density on a fixed injection rate, in comparison with an injection rate adjusted with TB parameters and patient information. A total of 256 patients underwent coronary CT angiography. In 126 patients (group 1), contrast material was administered at a flow rate of 4 ml/sec. The peak enhancement, the time needed to reach the peak of the TB and cardiac function of the MB were calculated for each patient in this group. The dependency of MB contrast attenuation on these parameters was evaluated. Significant correlations were obtained between the peak density of the TB and the patient’s body surface area (BSA) with the enhancement of MB. Furthermore, females showed a higher peak enhancement of MB than males. In view of the results of group 1, in the other 130 patients (group 2) injection protocols were computed by using regression analysis of each patient’s attenuation response to a TB and patient sex and BSA. Compared with group 1, the variations of MB contrast density of group 2 were reduced. Optimized contrast injection protocols are useful to reduce variations of MB contrast density, by taking these TB parameters and patient sex and BSA into account.

Western leaders and mass media, including their Japanese counterparts, quick to claim "victory" in the cold war, never took a close look at the "losers". It was assumed that Russians would take to Western forms of economic and polifical development as eagerly as they had bought Western jeans and rock music tapes on the black market. The West's, that is, our biggest mistake was to have expected more than Russia was able to become. We did not fully understand how sick Soviet society was. There was, on top of everything else, no trusted new "elite" to replace the old. A truly non-partisan civil service has always eluded Russian governments. And the so-called democrats or reformers in power are themselves nomenklatura people, their children and their acquaintances. In a word, the system never collapsed after August, 1991, despite the appearance. S. Handelman, Canadian joumalist and author of ≪Comrade Criminal≫, elucidates, in his work, that the bureaucrats and managers of the former regime acquired new capital and political strength by exploiting the legal vacuum left by departing Communist authorities. Thus, a post-Soviet mafiya emerged, in corporating (1)the most entrepreneurial element of the former nomenklatura and (2)the gangster capitalism of the new. The Comrade criminal-the personification of this new force that combines the just mentioned two elements-is now setting the rules of game in Russia. Inspired by Mr. Handelman's sardonic insight, I try to trace here, both on local and national level, though in a very sketchy way, how the nomenklatura suruives. And by drawing this sketch, I want to clarify the essence of the organisation, that had been called the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

The Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) program is an international hands-on environmental science and education program. Since its launch in 1995, over 37,600 schools across 125 countries have participated in the GLOBE program. In Japan, 281 schools and institutions have been involved in this program to date. This study examines how the GLOBE program, offering the experience of observing and analyzing data on the natural environment, affected students' awareness of the natural environment and their future career choices. The survey was conducted using questionnaires sent to 16 teachers and 108 students of high schools participating in GLOBE program (quantitative research), and interviews with 7 GLOBE alumni (qualitative research). The results show that the GLOBE program has enhanced students' interest in the natural environment and commitment to awareness of environmental conservation. Moreover, based on their approaches (e.g., enthusiastic guidance from teachers, continuous observation and data analysis, independent inquiry activities, experience in presenting research findings, interaction with other students and researchers, etc.), it was revealed that the program also influences students' career choices, such as choosing university or college courses on environmental or natural science and jobs related to nature, biology, and science.

海外の日本語教育では、教科書の役割が大きい。中国でも明(1368年)の時代から日本語教育が始まり、教科書の作成が時代とともに発展してきたが、20世紀70年代以来、中日国交正常化により日本語の学習が特に盛んになり、教材作成は主に素材補強→素材改善→素材統合の方向で進んできた。現在、さらに教材研究を通して言語学・外国語教育学・教育工学など広く学際的な成果を盛り込んだ新しい日本語教材の開発が進んでいる。本稿では筆者所属の北京日本学研究センターで実施された「中国の日本語教育における主幹科目"総合日本語(精読)"に関する総合研究」と「中国の日本語教育のための新しい教材像に関する研究」の成果を踏まえて、教育部「十一五」教材出版計画で実施中の新教材編纂のための総合シラバス研究を事例に、中国における大学専攻用日本語教科書作成の現状と課題を論述する。

<p> 身体障害者補助犬法では公共施設などの不特定多数の人が利用する場所への補助犬の受け入れが義務付けられているが、法律成立後も補助犬同伴の受け入れ拒否事例は報告されている。2012年 4月に補助犬法成立 10年を記念して盲導犬受け入れ拒否ゼロを目指した『渋谷ハチ公盲導犬パレード』が飲食店が立ち並ぶ渋谷駅周辺で行われた。このような啓発が飲食店に対して実際に効果があったのかどうかについて、渋谷駅前の飲食店と、啓発活動が行われていない池袋駅前の飲食店、各 50店舗に対して、比較調査を行った。調査の結果、パレード自体の認知も少なく、啓発が行われていない地域との差はほとんどなかった。また飲食店の補助犬法に対する認知は一般成人に対するものとほぼ変わりがなかった。飲食店に対して受け入れを啓発するには、盲導犬と共に街頭を歩き、受け入れを呼びかけるのみでは不十分であり、飲食店に焦点を絞った啓発を行うことが必要であると考えられた。</p>

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fifth most common malignancy and the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. This review is an updated version that summarizes comprehensive guidelines published from January 2001 to January 2022 worldwide with a focus on the clinical management of HCC. The electronic databases MEDLINE, the Chinese SinoMed, and the Japanese CiNii were systematically searched. A total of 22 characteristic guidelines for HCC management were ultimately included, including 1 international guideline, 11 guidelines from Asia, 5 from Europe, 4 from the America, and 1 from Australia. If guidelines were published in multiple versions, the most recent update was included, and surveillance, diagnosis, and treatment were compared. The composition of and recommendations in current guidelines on HCC varied, so these guidelines were regrouped and diagnostic and treatment algorithms were summarized graphically to provide the latest information to clinicians. The diagnostic criteria were grouped into 2 categories: a "Size-based pathway" and a "Non-size-based pathway". The treatment criteria were summarized according to different treatment algorithms, and mainstream treatment options were reviewed. Findings from comparison of current guidelines might help target and concentrate efforts to improve the clinical management of HCC. However, further studies are needed to improve the management and outcomes of HCC. More straightforward or refined guidelines would help guide doctors to make better decisions in the treatment of HCC in the future.

本稿は,コロナ禍での米中対立下における国際通貨体制の現状をふまえて,その将来と日本・中国の位置する東アジア域内の通貨制度を「バスケット通貨」と「決済システム」をキーワードに考察するものである。アジアおよび世界における国際通貨制度ならびに民間における貿易・資本取引における通貨選択の両方の視点から,アジアのAMU(Asian Monetary Unit),世界におけるIMFのSDRの実利用の可能性まで展望する。

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of surface reaction-type pre-reacted glass-ionomer (S-PRG) filler eluate on Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 and MMP-3 secretion by human gingival fibroblasts (HGF). The S-PRG filler eluate contains 6 ions (F, Na, Al, B, Sr and Si) released from the S-PRG filler. The S-PRG filler eluate stimulation induced a slight secretion of MMP-1 and MMP-3 by HGF. It also enhanced the phosphorylation of p38 and ERK. The increase in MMP-1 and MMP-3 secretion by the inflammatory cytokine TNF-α was suppressed by the S-PRG filler eluate. TNF-α-induced increases in the phosphorylation of ERK were slightly enhanced by S-PRG filler eluate. These findings may prompt the development of new therapeutic agents for oral inflammation with materials composed of S-PRG filler eluate.
