Many studies have discussed the biomechanics of the shoulder joints. However, therapists rarely use this research in clinical practice. In general, evaluation is performed using visual and tactile skills. Visual assessment is suitable for observing static motion, but skill is necessary to evaluate rapid and complicated motion. Visual assessment skills are easily taught to others, but observations can be misinterpreted. Tactile assessment skills are difficult to teach, but improve with experience, and proficiency enables detailed evaluation. Use of these sensory skills in combination can aid the evaluation of patients with shoulder joint disease. This paper introduces an approach to assessment using tactile and visual skills for evaluation and treatment with upper limb exercise therapy.

Nowadays the extreme reaction against the idea of gender equality and sexuality education has broken out in Japan. In this paper I intend to clarify the difference of opinions about these subjects by analyzing typical cases. Then I examined the subjects for solving the conflicting situation by comparing the view of sexuality education since 1992 in Japan with the actual situations of gender equality and sexuality education in Finland as an advanced country in the field. The findings are as follows. Regarding gender equality and equality education, there is still the greatest conflict of views between equality approved gender roles and the resulting equality by aiming actual equal relations without regard to sex. Regarding sexuality education, the educational administration oppress teachers to teach exactly and concretely the route of infection and prevention against HIV/AIDS and other sexual infectious diseases in spite of being expected the big prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Asia. It can be seen that there remains still a deep -rooted view of sexuality as immoral in Japan. For solving this situation, it is important to familiarize many excellent models of sexuality education which was promoted by a few teachers and to cooperate with medical experts in this field. In Finland, many social organizations and facilities support children's sexual independence besides parents or teachers in the district. We also should promote children's sexuality education using existent institutions in each district such as health centers and promote it as adult education for people using community centers and such in Japan.

Matuda-Sannomiya's fish behavior model has been improved mainly on the basis of the experiment for rose bitterling <i>Rhodeus ocellatus ocellatus</i>. The model was reexamined for the behavior of Japanese dace <i>Tribolodon hakonensis</i> in a water tank experiment. The behavior of Japanese dace in a 1.7m equilateral octagonal water tank was recorded on video using 4 TV cameras which covered the whole area of the tank. On the basis of these time series data, the parameters included in the model were determined by the method of the least squares algo-rithm. However, some physical contradictions were observed in the parameters. This paper presents a modified model for describing the behavior of Japanese dace. In the new model, the interactive force between the fish and the attractive force of the wall were modified. The parameters in this model were suited, and the whiteness test of the residual was passed. The simulation by the modified model showed close agreement with the swimming behavior of Japanese dace.

本稿の目的は,いわゆる過労「死」と過労「自殺」の比較を通じて,過労自殺に特有の原因条件を明らかにすることである. 原因条件の導出にあたっては,クリスプ集合論に基づく質的比較分析(Qualitative Comparative Analysis, QCA)を採用し, 分析対象は労災認定請求・損害賠償請求裁判に係る判例58件を用いた. 過労死, 過労自殺とも, 複数の原因条件が複雑に絡み合い生じる現象であるが, 本稿では具体的にどのような原因条件の組合せが過労死ではなく過労自殺の特徴を構成しているのかという点に焦点を定めて分析を実施した. 分析の結果からは, 過労自殺を特色づけるもっとも基礎的な原因条件はノルマを達成できなかったという出来事であり, そこに職場における人間関係上の問題が重なることで過労死ではなく過労自殺が生じやすくなることが示された. この結果は, これまで過労自殺と呼ばれてきた現象が, 実際には通常の意味における過労=働きすぎによってではなく, ノルマを達成できなかった場合に加えられるパワーハラスメント等, 職場における人間関係上の問題によって特徴づけられるものであることを明らかにするものである.

前回の森(2017)で取り上げたQCAの分析では、各変数は0か1のみだった。QCAでは各変数は集合を表し、1が集合への帰属、0が非帰属を表す。しかし、0と1の2つのみに分けるのではなく、もっと微妙な差異も表現したい場合があるかもしれない。そのような場合に、通常の集合(クリスプ集合crisp set)を拡張したファジィ集合(fuzzy set)を利用する。今回は、このファジィ集合を用いたQCA(ファジィ集合QCA)の、fs/QCAと、RのQCAパッケージ(およびSetMethodsパッケージ、vennパッケージ)での行い方を主に扱う。
