小学2年生の通常学級における給食準備場面、給食片付け場面、掃除場面で行動上の問題を示していた児童に対して個別的支援を行い、その後、学級全体に対する支援を実施した。支援実施後は、すべての場面において対象児童の行動は改善されたが、学級全体に対する支援を実施した期間のほうが、個別的支援を実施した期間よりも高く安定した効果が得られた。また、学級全体に対する支援を実施した期間においては、対象児童の行動だけではなく、学級の他の児童の行動にも改善がみられた。以上のような結果から、通常学級における行動支援を検討する際には、児童に対する個別的支援よりも学級全体に対する支援を優先して検討することの必要性が示唆された。社会的妥当性に関しては、手続きの効果の面では担任教師から高い評価を得られたが、手続きの実施に関して、部分的に高い負担感が示された。

公の施設に対して指定管理者制度が創設されて10年になる。公立図書館においても約10%の図書館が導入している。この制度の功罪についてはいろいろ言われてきたが、それはほとんど制度設計に起因するものである。しかしそれ以外に運営上の課題があるかどうかを探るために、人権上問題があるとされた図書の扱いについてアンケート調査を行い、全国的な動向をつかむこととした。結論を端的に言えば、指定管理者が適切な運営ができるかどうかは、しかるべき経験と知識をもった図書館長を配置できるかどうかにかかっているといえよう。

フランスの人類学が組織的に活動し始めたのは,1859年,P. BROCAによって設立されたパリ人類学会からである。150年近い歴史の中で1832回にも及ぶ例会や会誌の発行などの日常的な活動のほかに,フランス国内のみならずベルギーやスイス等でも開催されるフランス語圏人類学大会(GALF)の中心的な役割を果たしており,英語圏とは一線を画した活動がみられる。1980年頃から会員数の減少に悩まされたが,ここ3年は,若い会員を中心に増加傾向にある。会員数増加への取り組み方や日本とは違った研究制度・組織であるCNRS(国立科学研究所)等のフランスの人類学事情について報告したい。

In this article, recent developments regarding the organometallic chemistry of boron-containing pincer ligands are reviewed. Boron-based pincer ligands can be subdivided into two main classes, which are based on either diazaborole or carborane. All the papers relevant to such boron-based pincer ligands that have been published since 2009 are included in this review, which also summarizes applications of transition metal complexes containing such boron-containing pincer ligands in catalytic and/or bond-cleavage reactions.

奈良大学図書館における資料利用の特徴を把握するために、2004年(暦年)1年間の貸出データを集計し、蔵書回転率と蔵書貸出率を指標とする分析調査を行った。1945年から2003年の問に出版された図書についての分析では、「資料の利用頻度は出版年からの経過年数が増すにつれて低下する」という計量書誌学の経験則(「オブソレッセンス」と呼ばれる)が当館でも当てはまることが確認された。直近15年間に出版された図書に関しては、和・洋・中別で比較した場合は和図書の、購入・寄贈別で比較した場合は購入図書の貸出が多く、また予算区分別では文学部選書枠による購入図書の蔵書回転率が社会学部・教養部のそれより高いとの結果が得られた。主題分野別ではNDCの2類(歴史、地理)、7類(芸術)、9類(文学)のほか、新書や文庫本を中心とした「K」(教養文庫)で高い蔵書回転率・蔵書貸出率が観察された。他方、「B」と「M」(遺跡発掘調査報告書)の利用度は蔵書回転率・蔵書貸出率のどちらから見ても全分野中で最も低いなど予想外の実態も明らかになった。これらの知見は、利用の活発な分野での受入数の拡充、貸出回数の少ない資料群に対する別置や除籍の検討などの形で、図書館業務にフィードバックできると考えられる。

日本の芸能、とりわけ歌舞伎における舞踊作品の中に、「ちょぼくれ」なる節を駆使した芸態がある。この「ちょぼくれ」とは、江戸時代における乞食坊主「願人坊主」と、それから派生した大道の雑芸より出たもので、大坂では「ちょんがれ」と呼ばれ、その後「浪花節」や「浪曲」の根源をなすものでもある。歌舞伎舞踊においては、特に門付芸として存在した「阿保蛇羅経読み」や「まかしょ」など、大道の雑芸人を描いたものや、「ちょぼくれ」の軽快な節回しを駆使した『偲儡師』や『喜撰』、『吉原雀』といった曲が現存し、現代にまでも当時の風情を伝えている。また、各地の民俗芸能として伝承されたものもある。本研究は、江戸期において大流行し、その後多くの芸能に影響を与えた「ちょぼくれ」を題材に、流行性と芸能における関係作用の研究の一つとして、まとめたものである。

Glycans play important roles in such cell-cell interactions as signaling and adhesion, including processes involved in pathogenic infections, cancers, and neurological diseases. Glycans are biosynthesized by multiple glycosyltransferases (GTs), which function sequentially. Excluding mucin-type O-glycosylation, the non-reducing terminus of glycans is biosynthesized in the Golgi apparatus after the reducing terminus is biosynthesized in the ER. In the present study, we performed genome-wide analyses of human GTs by investigating the degree of conservation of homologues in other organisms, as well as by elucidating the phylogenetic relationship between cephalochordates and urochordates, which has long been controversial in deuterostome phylogeny. We analyzed 173 human GTs and functionally linked glycan synthesis enzymes by phylogenetic profiling and clustering, compiled orthologous genes from the genomes of other organisms, and converted them into a binary sequence based on the presence (1) or absence (0) of orthologous genes in the genomes. Our results suggest that the non-reducing terminus of glycans is biosynthesized by newly evolved GTs. According to our analysis, the phylogenetic profiles of GTs resemble the phylogenetic tree of life, where deuterostomes, metazoans, and eukaryotes are resolved into separate branches. Lineage-specific GTs appear to play essential roles in the divergence of these particular lineages. We suggest that urochordates lose several genes that are conserved among metazoans, such as those expressing sialyltransferases, and that the Golgi apparatus acquires the ability to synthesize glycans after the ER acquires this function.

In this research, we considered in what way face-to-face, mobile phone, and Short Message Service (SMS) modes of communication are associated with the relationship satisfaction of samesex friends. Specifically, from a media and content suitability perspective, we investigated 9 modes of communication, 3 media (face-to-face, mobile phone, and SMS)×3 types of content (task, emotional, and consummatory), and their association to relationship satisfaction. The results showed that relationship satisfaction and mode of communication were different for friendships where the partners were physically near each other and could see each other face to face even daily (short-distance friendship) and friendships where partners were physically separated and could only rarely meet face to face (long-distance friendship). Primarily, for short-distance friendships, a positive relation was observed for face-to-face consummatory communication and relationship satisfaction. Additionally, for long-distance friendships, SMS consummatory communication had a positive relationship with relationship satisfaction. We looked at these results from interpersonal research and communication research perspectives.

The generation and migration of geofluids in subduction zones are discussed for the subducting slab and the overlying mantle wedge and crust in terms of theoretical models and observations. Theoretical models include several mechanisms of fluid migration, e.g., Rayleigh-Taylor instability, Stokes ascent, channel flow, and porous flow, whose characteristic lengths and velocities differ significantly. As a result, these mechanisms may occur in different settings within subduction zones. We compare seismic and geochemical observations with the model of fluid migrations, based on which a typical fluid fraction within the mantle wedge is estimated to be 0.1 to 1 vol.%. Accordingly, it is suggested that fluid migration within the mantle wedge is driven by the buoyancy of the fluid, rather than being dragged by the flow of solid matrix. This suggests the fluid rises vertically. In the shallow part of the mantle wedge and within the arc crust, in particular the upper crust, the channel flow seems to be dominant. However, the relationship between these channels and the surface exits observed as volcanoes and hot spring systems is unclear. To better understand fluid distribution and migration, we need to incorporate more observations (e.g., electrical conductivity structure) and models (e.g., models of petrological and thermal structures).
