17世紀にルイ14世の宮廷で発展したフランスオペラは、王の栄光を称え、現実の宮廷恋愛および政治や事件を反映するものであった。本稿は、テキスト研究と文献研究の方法を用いて、リュリの『テゼ』とシャルパンティエの『メデ』の二作品を、主に歴史的視点とジェンダー視点から比較、分析するものである。オペラは古代ギリシャ悲劇の再生をめざし、ルネサンス時代にイタリアで生まれたが、この二作品もギリシャ悲劇を題材にしている。オペラは常に王や貴族など支配者の側に立っており、当時の社会規範や思想と密接な相互関係を持っていた。本稿はまた、古代ギリシャ時代に確立した古代の家父長制社会と、オペラが誕生した近代の家父長制社会についても比較しながら、二つのオペラの登場人物であるメデについて、その他者性、子殺しの、社会における意味について考察する。同時に、人間性の復興をめざしたはずのルネサンスから始まる近代に、『男性的近代性』によってますます排除され、社会的地位が没落していく女性の状況について論じ、その社会の変化を反映した物語をオペラが作ってきたことについて考察する。The French Opera has developed in the Court of Louis XIV in the 17th century. It praises the glory of the King and reflects politics, love issues and events in the Court. This work examines and compares two operas, Thesee by Lully and Medee by Charpentier which stories are both based on the Greek tragedy. In this paper, I use the methodology which refers to text research and literature research and compare and analyze it with historical perspective and gender point of view. Opera is born in the modern society with the Renaissance to the recurrence to a Greek tragedy and the stories stand on the rulers' side. Opera had the close interaction with the society. This paper also comparing the relation between the patriarchy of ancient times and the patriarchy of modern times, I consider Medee, the heroine of these two Operas, as "the Other", for the people in Europe, and also I would like to analyze the meaning of her infanticide in the society. At the same time, I would like to analyze the fall of women's position and the role of Opera which reflects the society in the period of "male modernity" who excludes women increasingly while they talk about Renaissance of humanity.
