[Purpose] To investigate whether pain, balance, and stabilization of the lumbar region can be improved through thoracic mobilization in addition to lumbar stabilizaing exercises. [Subjects and Methods] This study recruited 36 subjects with chronic low back pain lasting more than 12 weeks. The subjects recruited for this study participated voluntarily, and provided their signed consent to participation. [Results] Improvement in balance was largest in the lumbar stabilization exercise group, followed by the thoracic mobilization and exercise group, and the traditional physical therapy group, in decreasing order of effect. [Conclusion] In conclusion, lumbar stabilization exercises combined with thoracic mobilization had greater effects on stabilization of the lumbar region pain relief, and improvement of the function of the patients with chronic low back pain.

目的:がん患者と健常人の血漿中アミノ酸濃度(PFAA)のバランスの違いを「アミノインデックス技術」を用いて統計解析し,がん罹患の確率を予測する新規がん検診として,アミノインデックス®がんリスクスクリーニング(AICS)が開発され,現在,肺,胃,大腸,前立腺,乳腺,子宮・卵巣の6種のがんに対するスクリーニング検査が実用開始された.本研究では,AICSの精密検査対象となるランクCの割合とAICS値の分布の妥当性について,AICS導出時の理論値と人間ドック受診者での検査結果を比較検討した.方法:三井記念病院の人間ドック受診者799名(男性494名,女性305名,平均年齢59±11歳)を対象とし,各がん種に対するランクCの割合とAICS値について,AICS導出時の理論値と比較した.結果:人間ドック受診者のランクC割合は,AICS(大腸),AICS(乳腺),AICS(子宮・卵巣)では,6.8%,3.0%,3.8%であり,理論値の5%と有意差がみられず,AICS値の分布も理論値と同等であった.AICS(肺),AICS(胃),AICS(前立腺)のランクC割合は,10.1%,10.8%,11.3%と理論値より有意に高く,AICS値分布も理論値と有意差がみられた.結論:ランクC割合およびAICS値分布が理論値とほぼ同等であったことは,AICSが新規がん検診として応用可能であることを推察させた.

Proteases were extracted from antarctic krill, Euphausia superba, with borate buffer at pH 8.0 They were partially purified by ammonium sulfate fractionation and gel filtration through Sephadex G-100. Further. purification performed with chromatohraphy on DEAE-Sephadex A-50 separated them into two trypsin-like proteases and a protease of unknown specificity. The trypsin-like proteases were characterized by their hydrolysis of TAME as well as the inhibition of the activity in the presence of soy-bean trypsin inhibitor. However, the inhibition of the two tryptic activities by PMSF was less than that in the case of bovine trypsin. All three proteases showed optimal activity at the physiological pH (around 8.0) of krill body fluids. They were stable only in an alkaline medium and digested carp actomyosin. These results suggest that they are responsible for the rapid autolysis of krill body protein which occurs after catching.

The autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) has been recognized as a new platform for observing the underwater world. It can dive freely around the target of the mission prescribed in its computer prior to launching.Throughout a dive, it does not require the operator and the support vessel to help it to execute its mission. It has no umbilical cable, which is fitted to remotely operated vehicles currently used for underwater operations and observations and usually causes problems for the operator. This paper presents the state of the art of the AUV and how it can be used in underwater science.

<b>Objective </b>: There are two types of studies on the relationship between adverse events and genetic background and the relationship between constitution and genetic background.  To investigate the relationship between adverse events and constitution retrospectively, we first reviewed the appearance of the constitution responsible for the adverse events in the relevant sources of information.<br><b>Methods </b>: Fifty two pharmaceutical interview sheets, 150 case reports and two manuals; "jyudaina fukusayou kaihi notameno fukuyaku sidou jyouhousyu", "jyutoku fukusayou sikanbetu manual" were selected for review.<br><b>Results </b>: Fourteen items about the constitution were found in the pharmaceutical interview sheets.  No items about the constitution were found in the case reports and manuals.<br><b>Conclusion </b>: Rules for the preparation of pharmaceutical interview sheets and case reports to use the constitution information is necessary for retrospective analysis of this issue.
