There is an “Illegality” on people's activity like hawkers on street. It can be considered coexistence of the spontaneous order as “code” and free behavior without restriction from the law. With that background, Hawker's behavior was analyzed through the comparison with the cases of 4 South-East Asian Cities based on following 3 aims.1. To show the effective utilization through a classification of eating activities on the street as an urban public space.2. To discover the “code” developed from hawker's relations between themselves as a making spontaneous order with their unspoken agreement.3. 本研究の目的は、人々のジェンダーバイアスとその政治的影響を包括的に検証し、「指導的地位」に占める者の間に大きな男女格差が生じる要因と解決策を明らかにすることである。それにより、政治や社会において男女共同参画をさらに進めるだけでなく、男女それぞれが個人として、多様な選択やキャリアの実現を可能とするための方策を考える。そのために、①議事録などのテキストデータを機械学習によって分析するテキストマイニング、②サーベイ実験などの実験的手法により因果関係の解明を目指す行動実験、③世界各国の専門家を対象とした大規模なサーベイによる国際比較調査、という複数の手法を用いて、学際的かつ国際的に研究を行う。

脳機能画像技術の発展に伴い,人が主観的に経験する美がどのような脳神経過程によって生み出されているかを研究する神経美学が近年注目を集めている。これまでの脳機能画像法による計測から,視覚芸術や人間の身体に対して主観的に美が経験されている際には,情動的処理システム,認知的処理システム,感覚運動的処理システムの少なくとも3つの機能的に独立した神経システムが駆動することが示されてきた。情動的処理システムは美の知覚に伴う快情動の経験において中核的役割を果たし,脳の報酬系を構成する眼窩前頭皮質や腹側線条体の神経活動は美的評価の程度と相関する。また,認知的処理システムは美的印象評価の決定に必要とされる情報の統合を担い,背外側前頭前野の関与が指摘されてきている。さらに,具象画や顔,身体像などの知覚処理を担う感覚運動的処理システムは,対象に特定的な知覚処理のみならず,対象の視覚美も表現していることが明らかになってきた。近年では,このような美的経験の神経基盤を計測するのみならず,経頭蓋磁気刺激や経頭蓋直流電気刺激などの脳刺激法を導入した研究も行われ,美的経験はその背後にある神経活動状態を脳刺激によって修飾することで操作されることが明らかになってきた。こうした脳機能画像法と脳刺激法による神経美学的研究から,美は報酬価値表象,意思決定,感覚運動に関わる神経システムの複雑な相互作用によって生み出されていることが示唆される。

Judgments of facial impressions such as attractiveness, trustworthiness, and dominance affect wide-ranging social outcomes. Research on perceptual mechanisms in forming such impressions is therefore central to the understanding of social cognition. This article provides a brief overview of two disparate approaches to understand how people form impressions from faces: computational modeling and experimental psychological approaches. The computational modeling approach allows for identifying the links between facial features and impressions in a data-driven manner, and thus for manipulating a face along an arbitrary impression dimension. The experimental psychological approach contributes to an understanding of how we perceive facial impressions in our cognitive systems by adopting perceptual and cognitive psychological experimental paradigms. In future studies, increased theoretical and methodological cross-talk between the computational modeling and the experimental approach would benefit progress in both fields.

ガウス過程選好学習(Gaussian process preference learning)と敵対的生成ネットワークの一種であるStyleGAN2を組み合わせた実験を行い,外集団構成員が有していると想定される顔特徴の可視化を試みた。日本の大学生116名が提供した顔画像を,Flickr-Faces-HQ(FFHQ)で学習したStyleGAN2の潜在表現に埋め込んだ。埋め込まれた潜在表現に対し主成分分析を行い8次元の顔部分空間を構築した。実験参加者に,この顔空間(±2SD)から生成された2つの画像をモニタに並べて提示し,「より巨人/阪神ファンらしい顔」を選択する課題をそれぞれ100試行行わせた。実験参加者は全て阪神ファンであった。選好結果をもとに顔特徴を巨人/阪神ファン顔らしさに変換する内的な効用関数の推定を行った。ガウス過程選好学習はガウス過程回帰にThurstoneモデルを組み込んだ手法である。すべての参加者の結果を平均した平均巨人/阪神ファン顔らしさ関数をそれぞれ算出し,これらの関数が最大値となった潜在表現から,阪神ファンが考える巨人・阪神ファンの顔を合成しその顔特徴と比較した。

政治的意思決定や選挙行動は,政治家の掲げる公約や政策の内容だけでなく,有権者の偏見や政治家の容姿といった,政治とは直接的関連の薄い要因にも左右される。しかしながら,人々がどのような容姿を政治家としてふさわしいと感じ,なぜそれが政治的意思決定に影響を及ぼすのかは明らかにされていない。本研究では,逆相関法を用いた顔画像分類から,日本人が心のなかで想像する政治家の顔ステレオタイプを可視化し,政治家らしいと判断される顔の特性について明らかにすることを目的とした。実験では,2016年の参議院議員選挙候補者の平均顔にランダムノイズを付加した2枚の画像を生成し,実験参加者に「内閣総理大臣」あるいは「防衛大臣」にふさわしい顔つきの写真を繰り返し選択してもらう課題を実施した。参加者の画像分類を逆相関法により解析した結果,各大臣としてふさわしい男性顔および女性顔のステレオタイプを可視化することができた。

In full mold casting, polystyrene is used as a master mold that is usually machined by a CNC machine tool. The CNC machine tool costs higher and does not move more flexibly than an articulated industrial robot. We have proposed a trajectory following controller system for a machining robot based on CL (cutter location) data. In this system, the discrete trajectories at each sampling time are generated from position and orientation information in CL data that are made by post processor in CAM system. We applied the controller system to foamed polystyrene machining while changing conditions, such as foaming rate of polystyrene, feed rate of end mill and processing number of times. In this paper, machining results of a simple model are shown and discussed. Finally, we consider the method to reduce the machining time while keeping machining accuracy and products quality.

In this paper, interviews and measurements were conducted to clarify the architectural characteristics of earth and stone masonry huts around Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The results showed that the huts were used for ash burning as a fertilizer for agriculture and for making compost. In many cases, stone pillars were used for fire and decay protection, and horizontal or vertical members were sometimes inserted inside the earth-stone masonry walls. Furthermore, the results were compared with previous studies that investigated the surrounding area to determine the regional characteristics of the plan shape and specifications of the earth-stone masonry walls.

本研究は,地震が多発し雨の多い日本においては珍しい,土を積んだ壁を有する建築に着目して,現地調査,材料実験および環境測定を行ったものである。現地調査の結果,小屋の構成について,構造形式や軸組部分との関係から分類を行い,用途や分布地域,および土積み壁部分の構成との関係を確認した。土積み壁から採取したサンプルを対象とした材料実験では,建物の鉛直荷重を支える強度があり,土だけで積む場合より,同時に石も積む場合の方が細粒の土を用いる傾向が確認できた。環境測定では,土積み壁を持つ建物は,外気温と比べて温湿度が安定しており,土の持つ蓄熱性と調湿性による効果が確認できた。

In Kunisaki Peninsula, Oita Prefecture, there are huts with walls earth-stone masonry walls have been identified. In this study, the purpose and composition of the huts were investigated in order to clarify the architectural characteristics of the huts with earth-stone masonry walls. We conducted interviews and measured surveys. As a result, the following was found.(1) Many of the huts in the target area were built as places to raise livestock for farming, and even today, traces of waterers for livestock and mortise holes for fences can be seen in some of the huts. Since the middle of the Showa period (1926-1989), livestock have no longer been kept in the sheds, and their use has changed to storage. The spaces where the livestock spent their time needed to be well ventilated and comfortable, indicating the importance they placed on the livestock for farming.(2) All of the huts were built by owners before the previous generation, and in some cases the year of construction was more than 70 years ago or more than 100 years ago.(3) In some cases, the construction of the huts was done in collaboration with local residents, in addition to professional craftsmen.(4) The structure of the huts was classified into three categories: (a) wooden structure, (b) masonry structure, and (c) mixed structure, based on the percentage of earth-stone masonry walls out of the total wall volume and whether or not the walls support the load of the roof. As a result, wooden structures were the most common, and masonry and mixed structures were the least common. In relation to the region, wooden structures were most common in Kitsuki City and Kunisaki City, while masonry and mixed structures were most common in Bungotakada City.(5) The piles of earth and stones ranged from those with more stones and less earth to those with fewer stones and more earth. In the case of stone-heavy piles, the earth played a strong role as a joint material, and in the case of earth-heavy piles, it is possible that the earth was also used as a wall material.

In Japan, the cob construction is often used for fences, but is rarely used for buildings. These buildings are being dismantled by aging and change of owner. We conducted measurement on the warehouse and the wall built with the cob construction method around the Yamanobe road in Nara prefecture. As a result, it is found that there is relationship between the structure of the warehouse, the area and the application. Furthermore, it was possible to estimate the construction method from the states of the mud wall.

There are many kinds of style in Japanese tea house, “Soan” / “Shoin”, “Rikyu” / “Samurai” / “Noble” and tea masters' preferences. The purpose of this research is to discuss the criteria of classification of tea house's style by studying the typological structure of the morphological composition of tea house derived from the multivariate analyses of qualitative data: presence or absence about 40 elements of 63 examples of tea house in 16-20th century. The result supports some of knowledge of historical knowledge and discusses new different tendencies of the morphological composition between the styles.
