The present study analyzed demographic and psychological factors that affect adult men's decisions to solicit a prostitute. We administered a questionnaire to 1 400 randomly sampled men aged 20 to 59, who live in the Tokyo metropolitan area (obtaining 664 valid responses). The results revealed that 14.6 percent of respondents have had the experience of being a client in prostitution at some point over the past four to five years. Men in their 50s, who spent their adolescence before the enforcement of anti-prostitution laws, had high prostitution acceptability. Those in their 20s and 30s, who spent their adolescence in the 1990s when “Enjyo-Kousai” (Japanese amateur prostitution)gained topicality, also showed high rates. These findings are considered to be birth cohort effects. In addition, those men who reported grater sexual drive and desire for intimate contact with others, as well as those who reported fewer attitudes of gender egalitarianism, had higher rates of prostitution solicitation. Finally, those men who reported less emotional family bonds also showed higher rates.

東京大学附属図書館U-PARL(アジア研究図書館上廣倫理財団寄付研究部門)は,本学所蔵資料から選定した漢籍・碑帖拓本の資料画像をFlickr上で公開している。資料のデジタル化とアーカイブ構築のあり方を模索した結果,限られたリソースでも実現と持続が可能な,小さい構成でありながら,広域的な学術基盤整備と断絶せず,高度な研究利用にも展開しうる,デジタルアーカイブの「裾野のモデル」を実現しうる方策として選択したものである。その経緯と現状及び今後の展望について,特に漢籍・碑帖拓本資料の統合メタデータ策定,CCライセンス表示,OmekaとIIIFを利用した研究環境構築の試みに焦点をあてて論ずる。

In this article, I examine the nature of bibliographic records of calligraphic rubbings based on a grasp of their distinguishing characteristics as source material and give an outline of the preparation of bibliographic records and underlying ideas that I have been putting into practice at the University of Tokyo Library, to which I am affiliated, when making the Libraryʼs calligraphic rubbings publicly accessible.  The principal distinguishing characteristic of calligraphic rubbings as source material is the multilayeredness of responsibility. The responsibilities of many people from different periods accrue during the course of creating a calligraphic rubbing, and in research importance must be given to both the individuality and commonalities conferred on the material by these multiple responsibilities. But judging from precedents for bibliographic records of calligraphic rubbings―such as bibliographic records based on the Nippon (Japanese) Cataloging Rules, catalogues of Chinese books, metadata elements used in the main collections of rubbings in Japan, and the “Cataloging Rules for Chinese Rubbings” prescribed by the National Library of China―a form of bibliographic description that takes due account of the multilayeredness of responsibility has not yet been realized.  Meanwhile, it is worth noting that in the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records endorsed by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions it is reported that bibliographic records require functions for recording four attributes, namely, work, expression, manifestation, and item. However, because the locus of responsibility for each attribute cannot be recorded in this model, I have not applied it as it is to calligraphic rubbings and have only referred to its underlying ideas.  Taking the above observations into account, in this article I propose metadata elements that are divided into the five strata of work, version, materialization, item, and data and make it possible to record the multilayeredness of responsibility with a certain degree of accuracy.

本研究は,『援助交際』を現代女子青年の性的逸脱行動として捉え,その背景要因を明らかにするものである。『援助交際』は,「金品と引き換えに, 一連の性的行動を行うこと」と定義された。首都圏の女子高校生600人を無作為抽出し, 質問紙調査を行った。『援助交際』への態度 (経験・抵抗感) に基づいて, 回答者を3群 (経験群・弱抵抗群・強抵抗群) に分類した。各群の特徴の比較し,『援助交際』に対する態度を規定している要因について検討したところ, 次のような結果が得られた。1) 友人の『援助交際』経験を聞いたことのある回答者は,『援助交際』に対して, 寛容的な態度を取っていた。2)『援助交際』と非行には強い関連があった。3)『援助交際』経験者は, 他者からほめられたり, 他者より目立ちたいと思う傾向が強かった。本研究の結果より,『援助交際』を経験する者や,『援助交際』に対する抵抗感が弱い者の背景に, 従来, 性非行や性行動経験の早い者の背景として指摘されていた要因が, 共通して存在することが明らかとなった。さらに, 現代青年に特徴的とされる心性が,『援助交際』の態度に大きく関与し, 影響を与えていることが明らかとなった。

法帖の研究において,版の異同を検討し,その系統を詳らかにすることは肝要である.本研究ではこのような法帖研究の支援を目的として,法帖における異版作品の比較を支援するシステムを開発した.典拠データのLinked Data 化と,複数機関が提供するIIIF 準拠画像に対するアノテーション付与による個別作品の識別により,異版関係にある個別作品を検出可能なシステムを構築した.国立国会図書館,国文学研究資料館,東京大学附属図書館が提供する法帖画像を対象としたケーススタディを通じ,版6 件,著者252 件,作品902 件,異版作品1403 件から構成される典拠データの作成,および213 件の個別作品に対して紐づけを行い,任意の異版作品の異なる個別資料における再現例を検出できることを確認した.

In recent years, an increasing number of Hojo images have been made public in web data archives. This paper examines a method of, as described below, and its practicability in processing properly a group of archived image data using presently available techniques, thereby enhancing the efficiency of comparative research of Hojos, and thus contributing to the development of research into the history of calligraphy.  First, an identifier is given to each of the works listed in Hojos to create source data. The same identifier is given to images of the same work in different materials in order to achieve source control in detecting all the reproduced images of the same work in different materials in a single action.  Second, a mechanism is devised to recognize the line breaks in the images, line breaks are given to Hojo images semi-automatically, and an identifier is given to the respective lines. By relating these line identifiers to the above-mentioned work identifiers, it is possible to cut out the image of the target work from the overall image data and display it.  Third, an arbitrary string of letters is selected and the mechanism detects images of identical parts among different materials using image-processing technology. This makes it possible to reference different versions of the same work listed in different Hojos without adding text information to the images.  Despite the necessity of further technical improvement regarding the referencing of different versions as described in step three, a series of experiments conducted to establish the above-mentioned method suggested the possibility that image processing technology can be developed as a tool to examine more detailed differences found among different lines of Hojos.

The purpose of this study was to examine the reliability and validity of a self-efficacy scale (SES: Sherer et al., 1982) using a Japanese community sample. The SES comprised 23 items measuring generalized self-efficacy. The SES and other measures were administered to a total of 1524 males and females whose ages ranged from 13 to 92. Exploratory factor analyses were conducted separately for sex and age groups and the factor structures obtained from these were compared. The results revealed a clear one-factor solution for the sample as a whole. A similar one-factor structure was obtained across sex and age groups. The SES was found to have satisfactory test-retest reliability and internal consistency. The correlations of the scores on the SES with other measures, such as depression, self-esteem, masculinity, and perceived health, provided some supports of construct validity. Some evidences of the construct and factorial validity of the SES in the Japanese community sample were found.

東晋の能書王羲之の代表作として知られる書跡『蘭亭』は、唐代に墨跡本が、また宋代には定武本をはじめとする刻石本が流布した。文献資料に徴すると、いずれの時代にも市中において自発的に『蘭亭』の諸本が生産され流通した状況があり、特に宋代にはそのような状況に士大夫階層が主体的に関わっていたことが知られる。しかし言説としては、『蘭亭』は皇帝の専有から偶然に流出したものとしてしばしば語られ、想定される状況と一致しないところがある。ただしそのような言説も、墨跡本・刻石本に共通する出現から消失に至る循環、あるいは唐と宋の時代相の差異といった点において参照価値を有する。

新宿御苑を対象に夜間の冷気の「にじみ出し現象」の把握を主眼とした微気象観測を夏季約7日間連続して行った.緑地の境界に多数の超音波風速温度計を配置し,気流の直接測定から「にじみ出し現象」の把握を試みた.その結果,晴天かつ静穏な夜間,全地点でほぼ同時に緑地から流出する方向への風向の変化と約1°Cの急激な気温低下が観測された.にじみ出しの平均風速は0.1~0.3 m/sで,にじみ出し出現時にはクールアイランド強度が大きくなる.このときの気温断面分布には流出した冷気の先端に明確なクリフが現れ,その位置は緑地境界から80~90 mであった.このような夜間の冷気の生成に寄与しているのは樹林地よりも芝生面で,芝生面は表面温度も樹冠より低い.芝生面の顕熱流束は夜間負となるが,にじみ出し出現夜はほぼゼロとなる.すなわち,クールアイランド強度の大小と大気を冷却する効果の大小は,別のものと考えるのが妥当である.

屋外空間を利用する際に適した温熱環境条件を抽出する手法を確立することを目的として,温熱環境と人の生理・心理指標,作業効率に関する実験を行った。暑熱環境対策により、温熱快適性の向上や人体生理・心理反応への効果を検証することができたが、作業効率の向上については確認できなかった。また、作業時は着座時に比べて作業に集中することが想定され,温熱環境や人体生理に変化が生じた状態でも感度が低下する傾向が推測された。実験結果より,屋外空間で推奨される温熱環境は,空間の利用目的によって異なる可能性があることが推察された。
