This paper presents our project of designing EdgeWrite text entry methods for Japanese language. We are developing a version of EdgeWrite text entry method for Japanese language: Katakana EdgeWrite. Katakana EdgeWrite specifies the line stroke directions and writing order of the Japanese Katakana character. The ideal corner sequence pattern of EdgeWrite for each Katakana character is designed based on its line stroke directions and writing order.

核磁気共鳴分光法(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy:NMRS)は有機化合物の分析をはじめとする化学的及び生理学的な基礎研究において非常に有用である.しかし,観測信号の信号対雑音比(Signal-to-Noise Ratio:SNR)が低いという問題をもつことから,効果的なデノイジング手法によって,測定の高効率化や経時変化の大きな試料への幅広い対応が可能となることが期待される.本論文では,NMRSによる観測信号は周波数域上においてスパース性をもっており,更にこれのN階差分をとった場合でもスパース性が失われないことに着目したデノイジング手法を提案する.シミュレーションによる数値実験から,スペクトル形状やノイズ強度に依らない安定したデノイジング性能を示したためこれを報告する.

超音波を利用したセンサは車載用途や産業用途において障害物の検知センサとしてよく用いられる.一方で,検知距離及び検知速度の問題から駐車支援などの準停止,近距離用途に限られる.本論文では,超音波センサを用いた低速自動運転などに適用可能な障害物位置推定システムの開発を目標とし,短時間で広範囲測定が両立する検知手法を検討する.提案するシステムでは,送信部に検出平面に対して垂直にアレイ化した超音波センサを用いることで,扇状のビームを形成し,目的の範囲を1回の検知で網羅する.実証実験を実施した結果,提案するシステムを用いて20 km/hで走行する障害物(自動車)を15 m先かつ速度誤差約2.2%で検知することに成功した.また,受信センサアレイを用いた多辺測量により位置推定が可能であることを確認した.以上の結果より,提案するシステムは低速走行条件において有効であることを示した.

This paper presents a novel frequency-controlled beam steering scheme for a phased-array antenna system (PAS). The proposed scheme employs phase-controlled carrier signals to form the PAS beam. Two local oscillators (LOs) and delay lines are used to generate the carrier signals. The carrier of one LO is divided into branches, and then the divided carriers passing through the corresponding delay lines have the desired phase relationship, which depends on the oscillation frequency of the LO. To confirm the feasibility of the scheme, four-branch PAS transmitters are configured and tested in a 10-GHz frequency band. The results verify that the formed beam is successfully steered in a wide range, i.e., the 3-dB beamwidth of approximately 100 degrees, using LO frequency control.

Multi-hop V2V communication is a fundamental way to realize data transmission in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET). It has excellent potential in intelligent transportation systems and automatic vehicle driving, and positively affects the safety, reliability, and comfort of vehicles. With advantages in speed and trajectory, distribution along the route, size, etc., the urban buses have become prospective relay nodes for urban VANETs. However, it is a considerable challenge to construct stable and reliable (meeting the requirements of bandwidth, delay, and bit error rate) multi-hop routing because of the complexity of the urban road and bus line network in the communication area, as well as many unevenly distributed buses on the road, etc. Given this above, this paper proposes a new hierarchical routing algorithm based on V2V geographic topology segmentation. Urban hierarchical routing is divided into two layers. The first layer of routing is called coarse routing, which is composed of areas; the second layer of routing is called internal routing (bus routing within the area). Q-learning is used to formulate the sequence of buses that transmit information within each area. Details are as follows: Firstly, based on a city map containing road network information, the entire city is divided into small grids by physical streets. Secondly, based on an analysis of the characteristics of the adjacent grid bus lines, the grids with the same routing attributes are integrated into the same area, reducing the algorithm's computational complexity during route discovery. Then, for the calculated area set, a coarse route composed of the selected area is established by filtering out a group of areas satisfying from the source node to the destination node. Finally, the bus sequence between anchor intersections is selected within the chosen area, and a complete multi-hop route from the source node to the destination node is finally constructed. Sufficient simulations show that the proposed routing algorithm has more stable performance in terms of packet transmission rate, average end-to-end delay, routing duration, and other indicators than similar algorithms.

It has been widely recognized that in compressed sensing, many restricted isometry property (RIP) conditions can be easily obtained by using the null space property (NSP) with its null space constant (NSC) 0<θ≤1 to construct a contradicted method for sparse signal recovery. However, the traditional NSP with θ=1 will lead to conservative RIP conditions. In this paper, we extend the NSP with 0<θ<1 to a scale NSP, which uses a factor τ to scale down all vectors belonged to the Null space of a sensing matrix. Following the popular proof procedure and using the scale NSP, we establish more relaxed RIP conditions with the scale factor τ, which guarantee the bounded approximation recovery of all sparse signals in the bounded noisy through the constrained l1 minimization. An application verifies the advantages of the scale factor in the number of measurements.

本論文では人物の歩行時の特徴(歩容特徴)を用いた年齢推定手法を提案する.歩容特徴に基づく年齢推定においては,自由に歩行している人物の歩容が対象となるため,撮影角度の違いに対する頑健性が求められる.複数の撮影角度からの歩容特徴を学習に利用することで,頑健性を強めることができるが,学習に用いられる歩容特徴の撮影角度と一致しない撮影角度の歩行人物に対しては,推定精度は大幅に劣化する.そこで,本論文では,学習に含まれない撮影角度の歩容特徴の推定精度を改善する手法として,撮影角度抑制学習を用いた年齢推定を提案する.撮影角度抑制学習とは,撮影角度の影響を抑制する副課題のもとで主課題の学習を行うものである.高精度な角度分類器を用いた制約項を考慮しつつ主課題用の特徴空間を構築することで撮影角度の影響を抑制する.提案手法は,歩容公開データベースを用いて,複数の設定で評価を行った.その結果,提案手法は,学習に用いられていない撮影角度の年齢推定において大幅な精度改善を実現した.

Deep neural networks (DNNs) provide excellent services in machine learning tasks such as image recognition, speech recognition, pattern recognition, and intrusion detection. However, an adversarial example created by adding a little noise to the original data can result in misclassification by the DNN and the human eye cannot tell the difference from the original data. For example, if an attacker creates a modified right-turn traffic sign that is incorrectly categorized by a DNN, an autonomous vehicle with the DNN will incorrectly classify the modified right-turn traffic sign as a U-Turn sign, while a human will correctly classify that changed sign as right turn sign. Such an adversarial example is a serious threat to a DNN. Recently, an adversarial example with multiple targets was introduced that causes misclassification by multiple models within each target class using a single modified image. However, it has the weakness that as the number of target models increases, the overall attack success rate decreases. Therefore, if there are multiple models that the attacker wishes to attack, the attacker must control the attack success rate for each model by considering the attack priority for each model. In this paper, we propose a priority adversarial example that considers the attack priority for each model in cases targeting multiple models. The proposed method controls the attack success rate for each model by adjusting the weight of the attack function in the generation process while maintaining minimal distortion. We used MNIST and CIFAR10 as data sets and Tensorflow as machine learning library. Experimental results show that the proposed method can control the attack success rate for each model by considering each model's attack priority while maintaining minimal distortion (average 3.95 and 2.45 with MNIST for targeted and untargeted attacks, respectively, and average 51.95 and 44.45 with CIFAR10 for targeted and untargeted attacks, respectively).

This paper presents a wide rate range receiver including adaptive continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) and loop-unrolled half rate decision feedback equalizer (DFE). A hybrid filter is adopted to expand the rate range of adaptive CTLE with spectrum balancing technology. The current-integrating summer is introduced to reduce the power of half-rate loop-unrolled DFE. The post-simulation is carried out by 0.18µm CMOS TSMC technology and the results show that the rate range of adaptive CTLE can reach to 6.25-10Gb/s. When the 10 Gb/s PRBS7 signal is transmitted through the 18-inch FR4 backplane with 15.451dB loss at Nyquist frequency, the eye diagram is obviously open and its horizontal opening is about 0.9UI.

Recently, channel-aware steganography has been presented for high security. The corresponding selection-channel-aware (SCA) detecting algorithms have also been proposed for improving the detection performance. In this paper, we propose a novel detecting algorithm of JPEG steganography, where the embedding probability and block evaluation are integrated into the new probability. This probability can embody the change due to data embedding. We choose the same high-pass filters as maximum diversity cascade filter residual (MD-CFR) to obtain different image residuals and a weighted histogram method is used to extract detection features. Experimental results on detecting two typical steganographic methods show that the proposed method can improve the performance compared with the state-of-art methods.

In order to increase communication capacity, the use of millimeter-wave and terahertz-wave bands are being actively explored. Non-radiative dielectric waveguide known as NRD guide is one of promising platform of millimeter-wave integrated circuits thanks to its non-radiative and low loss nature. In order to develop millimeter wave circuits with various functions, various circuit components have to be efficiently designed to meet requirements from application side. In this paper, for efficient design of NRD guide devices, we develop a topology optimal design technique based on function-expansion-method which can express arbitrary structure with arbitrary geometric topology. In the present approach, recently developed two-dimensional full-vectorial finite element method (2D-FVFEM) for NRD guide devices is employed to improve computational efficiency and several evolutionary approaches, which do not require appropriate initial structure depending on a given design problem, are used to optimize design variables, thus, NRD guide devices having desired functions are efficiently obtained without requiring designer's special knowledge.

近年の急激な高速化の流れに対応すべく,1波長あたりの速度が100 Gbit/sを越える動作が可能な光送信器が求められてきた.100 Gbit/sを越える動作を実現するためには従来のワイヤ実装ではワイヤのもつ寄生インダクタンスによる帯域劣化が課題であった.そこで,ワイヤ不要となるフリップチップ接続技術と光デバイスと実装部材を一体で設計する技術を組み合わせた実装技術(Hi-FIT)を開発し,本技術を電界吸収型光変調器集積DFBレーザ(EADFBレーザ)モジュールに適用することで,214 Gbit/s動作を実現した.また,高速化に伴って10km超級伝送を実現するためには光出力パワーの向上も併せて求められてきたが,高速動作が可能な光アクティブデバイスとして従来用いられてきたEADFBレーザでは光出力の不足が課題であった.そこで我々は半導体光増幅器(SOA)をEADFBレーザチップに集積したデバイス(AXEL)を開発し,受信器としてアバランシェフォトダイオード(APD)を用いることで,106 Gbit/s信号の60km伝送を実現した.Hi-FITとAXELは100 Gbit/s超級動作高出力光送信器のキー技術として期待される.

For many countries in the world, 5G is of strategic significance. In the 5G era, telecom operators are expected to enable and provide multiple services with different communication characteristics like enhanced broadband, ultra-reliable and extreme real-time communications at the same time. To meet the requirements, the 5G network essentially will be more complex compared with traditional 3G/4G networks. The unique characteristics of 5G resulted from new technologies bring a lot of opportunities as well as significant challenges. In this paper we first introduce 5G vision and check the global status. And then we illustrate the 5G technical essentials and point out the new opportunities that 5G will bring to us. We also highlight the coming challenges and share our 5G experience and solutions toward 5G vision in many aspects, including network, management and business.

This brief presents A 16/32Gb/s dual-mode transmitter including a linearity calibration loop to maintain amplitude linearity of the SST driver. Linearity detection and corresponding master-slave power supply circuits are designed to implement the proposed architecture. The proposed transmitter is manufactured in a 22nm FD-SOI process. The linearity calibration loop reduces the peak INL errors of the transmitter by 50%, and the RLM rises from 92.4% to 98.5% when the transmitter is in PAM4 mode. The chip area of the transmitter is 0.067mm2, while the proposed linearity enhanced part is 0.05×0.02mm2 and the total power consumption is 64.6mW with a 1.1V power supply. The linearity calibration loop can be detached from the circuit without consuming extra power.

周囲環境からの影響の低減やデザイン性の向上といった観点から,アンテナや無線回路をスロット付金属きょう体の内部に含む無線通信装置が実用化されている.本論文では,スロット付金属きょう体の内部に折返しダイポールアンテナを備えたアンテナを提案し,金属きょう体上のスロットと折返しダイポールアンテナのインピーダンス特性と電磁界分布を調べ,動作原理を明らかにする.次に,その動作原理に基づき金属きょう体の薄型化とインピーダンス特性の広帯域化を検討する.その結果,金属きょう体幅を0.22λ0 (λ0:中心周波数の自由空間波長)から0.03λ0に減少させ,比帯域幅を7.6%から18.9%に拡大することができた.また,試作評価により,提案アンテナの広帯域動作を確認した.

Nowadays, data centers are critical infrastructure for the information industry. Thermal security is one of the most concerning problems of the data center efficiently providing service. The temperature prediction method is an effective way, which overcomes the lagging of the feedback control and rewards a high prediction accuracy. While the current LSTM based prediction methods are limited in accuracy and restricted in scalability due to the lack of knowledge of physical properties and consideration of time constant differences of features. To address this, we propose a data center temperature prediction model with two-segment LSTM for prediction separately for IT equipment load and other heat-related variables with different time constants. The model takes into account the physical properties of the equipment and achieves higher prediction accuracy. The experimental results show that the prediction accuracy of our method is 27.27% higher than the state-of-art single segment LSTM method.

様々な科学技術分野で重要な役割を担う最適化問題において,しばしば行列変数に直交制約が課される.当該制約の表現には様々あるが,その可微分性やパラメータ表示の簡便さから,歪対称行列のCayley変換により直交行列を生成する手法が採用されることが多い.しかしながら,歪対称行列のCayley変換では,全ての直交行列を網羅できないことが問題となっている.本論文では,歪対称行列全体に対するCayley変換の像が,直交行列全体からなる集合のどのような部分集合になっているかを主論点として理論解析を行い,結果として,それが正規直交基底の同値類の代表元を必ず生成できることを示す.このことは,歪対称行列のCayley変換を用いる妥当性が保証される最適化問題の範囲を明確化する.

This paper examines the possibility of an electromagnetic interference (EMI) caused by unintentional radiated emissions from an unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable in the sub-6GHz band of 5G. First, it is experimentally and numerically confirmed that a UTP cable with a twist pitch of 20mm and a sheath with relative permittivity of 2.9 radiates above 5.7GHz. It is also clarified that the radiated emissions are attributable to the twist structure. In addition, the usefulness of two equations, derived in developing radiating pair cables, to easily calculate the radiation band and the radiation angle to solve the EMI problem is validated.

Escalating fuel prices and a keen attention to improve air quality have resulted in proliferation of pure electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Fuel savings and reduced carbon footprint are the main enablers for the choice of electric automobiles compared to the conventional vehicles with internal combustion engines. Availability of electric power sources such as lightweight battery packs also has promoted electric drive as a viable option. Both plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles necessitate new power train schemes ensuring safe and reliable operation. The DC-DC converters are the heart of an electric vehicle. They are used to convert the battery voltage to another level as required by the motor drive. Traditionally, most of the automakers use buck boost converter as it enables the bidirectional operation. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of a dual way DC-DC converter namely split pi converter for an electric vehicle drive train system driving an inverter fed induction motor. The dual way converter investigated has numerous advantages such as inherent bidirectional capability, EMI reduction and reduction of the passive elements. Simulation results and experimental investigations based on a laboratory prototype are presented.

本論文では次世代RAN (Radio Access Network)の実現に向けて我々が提案してきているフルコヒーレントアクセスシステムについて述べる.最初に2010年代の4Gから2020年代の5G更に2030年代の6Gに向けての大きな変革としてD-RAN (Distributed RAN)からC-RAN (Centralized RAN)への進化について述べた後,それとともに今まで開発されてきた各種モバイルフロントホール(MFH: Mobile Fronthaul)について説明する.その中で将来に向けてのフルコヒーレント伝送の重要性を浮かび上がらせ,我々が実験を行ってきている無線・光融合型フルコヒーレント伝送方式について述べている.この方式は光信号と無線信号をIF (Intermediate Frequency)が異なる一つの電磁波伝送として捉えるものであり,構成が簡単でありかつ高性能を実現できる興味深い手法である.光と無線を一体として捉えることにより,光伝送部分で発生する誤りを無線のFEC (Forward Error Correction)で補正できるなど今まで考えられなかった特徴がある.更に,その実現のために重要な技術として,注入同期による信号光とLO (Local Oscillator)光との高精度位相同期技術について詳細に述べる.この高精度な位相同期はLD (Laser Diode)が1台という簡単な構成で実現できるため,256 QAMのような高い多値度の光伝送にも応用可能であることを示した.最後に,フルコヒーレントアクセスシステムの高度化のために重要な光・電子デバイス更にはその集積化技術について述べている.
