The genus Magadanichthys is established as a replacement name for the zoarcid fish genus Magadania Shinohara, Nazarkin and Chereshnev, 2004, which is preoccupied by an extinct brachiopod genus, Magadania Ganelin, 1977, and an extant lepidopteran genus, Magadania Kirpichnikova and Yamanaka, 2001. Magadanichthys contains only Magadanichthys skopetsi (Shinohara, Nazarkin and Chereshnev, 2004). Two new specimens caught in the sublittoral of the Shantar Islands and Sakhalin represent the southernmost records of the species. A description of the new specimens and new biological data are provided.

Thin layer method is numerically effective tool to evaluate theoretical ground motions due to large-scale seismic fault, especially when fault parmeters have large complexity or soil property gradually varies in depth direction. In spite of those advantages, there remain several problems in connection with its formulation, e.g., discretization artifacts, artifical reflection of waves impinging at the bottom, and numerical instability when epicentral distance is extremely small. This paper describes some modeling techniques to improve these numerical problems and shows its validation. This method is also applied to ground motion evaluation at near-fault, surface faulting and the 2007 Noto Hanto earthquake.

This paper presents a new method to calculate theoretical seismograms for earth structures considering the layered strata and local soil conditions surrounding an observation point. The reciprocal relationship of Green's functions is employed in the formulation, and the Green's functions are obtained in the frequency domain by combining of the three-dimensional thin layer elements developed by Waas, Kausel and Tajimi and the axisymmetric finite elements. The results in the time domain are obtained by the FFT algorithm. Therefore, the proposed method is called the thin layer finite element (TLFE) method in this paper. The accuracy of this method is examined by comparing its results with wavenumber integral solutions for a buried point source in an elastic halfspace. As a numerical example, theoretical seismograms on the idealized sedimentary basin model are calculated in order to illustrate the effect of local soil conditions surrounding the observation point.

本稿では、日本語として未だ使われることが多くないインテグリティ(integrity)に焦点を合わせ、その概念、構成要素、機能などを分析した。その結果、次の主張をした。(1)インテグリティとは、語源的に首尾一貫性を基本的意味として持っており、それに正直、誠実、公正などの倫理的意味や、説明責任などの要素も加わった複雑な概念である。(2)インテグリティを体得すれば a)どのような状況にも安心して対応できる、b)第三者からの信頼感が高まる、c)日々の生活を単純化できる、などのメリットがある(本稿ではこれらをシェリングの自己管理モデルを応用して分析した)。(3)インテグリティは、個人についてだけでなく、職業上のインテグリティ、組織のインテグリティなど多くの面で重要な規範になっており、それらが満たされる組織や社会は健全な良い社会になる。(4)日本では、インテグリティの概念を普及させる余地が依然としてかなり大きく、それは大学教育で達成すべき大きな目的の一つでもある。

日本では2018年4月に“白金系抗悪性腫瘍剤感受性の再発卵巣癌における維持療法”として,初のPARP阻害薬としてOlaparib(リムパーザ®)が登場した。その後Olaparibは2018年7月に“がん化学療法歴のあるBRCA遺伝子変異陽性かつHER2陰性の手術不能または再発乳癌”が適応となった。乳癌診療では遺伝性乳癌・卵巣癌症候群という遺伝性腫瘍を対象とした治療薬としては本邦初の適応であり,コンパニオン診断プログラムである“BRACAnalysis診断システム”により生殖細胞系列のBRCA遺伝子変異の判定結果に基づきOlaparibの適応は決定される。本稿ではBRCA,PARP,PARP阻害剤と遺伝学的検査についてのべる。
