In this paper, we analyzed individuals’ perceptions of the roles of intelligent machines and systems based on the results of a questionnaire survey conducted in 2015 and 2016 on artificial intelligence, robots, and other “intelligent machines and systems.” In conclusion, 1) human labor was not strongly supported for so-called public goods and services such as disaster prevention and military jobs, rather than leaving these tasks to machines. 2) In support of existing research, child-rearing was seen as women’s responsibility as in the present situation, considering that women and children benefit from the parenting experience. In addition, university graduates with high flexibility for social option and creative capacity are perceived to benefit from human-powered jobs, especially in tasks that require human responsibility or where the cost of implementing intelligent machines and systems would be expensive. Also, some tasks, such as music, are viewed as preferentially human tasks. 3) After taking into consideration endogenous in the regression, such as for child rearing and nursing care, overall, individuals perceived that childcare should not be left to machines, although nursing care was considered to possibly benefit from the use of machines.

金沢大学大学院医学系研究科機能分子医薬学Estrogen receptor α (ERα) is a ligand-inducible transcription factor that mediates the biological effects of estrogens and antiestrogens. Many point mutations in the human ERα gene have been reported to be associated with breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and psychiatric diseases. However, functional analyses for most mutants with amino acid changes are still lacking. In the present study, to investigate the effects of point mutations on the function, gel-shift assays and luciferase assays were performed for eight kinds of mutated ERα proteins, including a single nucleotide change of C207G (N69K), G478T (G160C), T887C (L296P), A908G (K303R), C926T (S309F), A1058T (E353V), A1186G (M396V), and G1231deletion (411fsX7). The mutated ERα expression plasmids were constructed by site-directed mutagenesis. With gel-shift assays using in vitro translated ERα proteins, binding to the consensus estrogen response element (ERE) was observed for the mutated ERα proteins except ERα (G160C) and ERα (411fsX7), the binding of which was comparable with that of the wild type. Western blot analyses showed that ERα (G160C) could not be efficiently translated with the in vitro transcription/translation system and that ERα (411fsX7) produced a truncated protein. To investigate the transactivation potency, wild-type or mutated ERα expression plasmids were co-transfected with pGL3-3EREc38 reporter plasmid into human breast adenocarcinoma MDA-MB-435 cells. The concentration-response curves (10 pM-100 nM E2) of the mutant ERα proteins except ERα (E353V) and ERα (411fsX7) were similar to that of wild-type ERα. However, at a low level of E2 (100 pM), the mutants ERα (N69K), ERα (L296P), ERα (S309F), and ERα (M396V) showed a significant decrease of transactivation compared with that of the wild-type ERα. The mutants ERα (E353V) and ERα (411fsX7) did not show responsiveness to E2 and antiestrogens, 4-hydroxytamoxifen (4OHT) and ICI 182,780. The mutant ERα (S309F) showed decreased responsiveness for the antiestrogenicity of 4OHT. In conclusion, we found that some of the naturally occurring human ERα mutants with amino acid changes may have an altered responsiveness to estrogen and antiestrogens. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. 日本では「大学発ベンチャー1000社計画」以降,大学発ベンチャー数は急速に増加したが,その業績は全体として好調であるとは言い難い。そこで本研究は,日本の大学発ベンチャーを対象とし,高い業績を達成するための成功要因を明らかにすることを目的としている。本研究では,Upper echelons perspectiveの視点から,大学発ベンチャーのトップ・マネジメント・チームに注目をし,そのデモグラフィック特性とプロセス要因を取り上げた。質問票調査のデータについて回帰分析を行った結果,大学発ベンチャーの業績には,トップ・マネジメント・チームに大学外出身者の割合が高いこと,チームの異質性が高いこと,戦略的コンセンサスと個人的な親密さの交互作用項がそれぞれ正に有意に影響を及ぼしていた。これによって,大学発ベンチャーが高い業績を達成するためには,そのトップ・マネジメント・チームは異質的であることが重要であり,またビジネス上とプライベート上のどちらか一方の関係性を深めれば良いということではなく,両側面において密なコミュニケーションがとれていることが重要であるということが示唆された。さらに,企業業績に対するトップ・マネジメント・チームの影響に関しては,デモグラフィック特性とプロセス要因は別の要因として検証することができるという可能性が示唆された。

Palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP) has been accepted as one of the secondary diseases caused by tonsillar focal infection ; however, the pathogenesis is still unknown. In this study, the expression of adhesion molecules on the palmar and plantar skin of eight patients with PPP and three healthy volunteers with normal skin were examined immunohistochemically. In normal skin, only CD44 was expressed on the epidermis. In the macroscopically normal region of PPP skin, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) was demonstrated on the endothelial cells in the dermis. In the erythema stage and the pustule stage, CD3, CD4, and lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) were expressed on the cells infiltrating the dermis. ICAM-1 was detected immunohistochemically on the endothelial cells, keratinocytes and infiltrating cells in PPP skins. Moreover, endothelial cell-leukocyte adhesion molecule-1 (ELAM-1) was expressed on vessels in the dermis in these two stages. These findings suggest that the interaction between LFA-1 and ICAM-1 plays an important role in T cell infiltration into PPP skin and that the continuity of ICAM-1 expression is related to the chronicity of PPP.

当科で経験したバセドウ病手術症例124例の手術成績を術式別に検討した.手術適応は,抗甲状腺薬治療に対する抵抗性が52%,抗甲状腺薬の副作用が33%,眼症合併が8%,腫瘤性病変合併が6%,患者の希望が1%であった.術式の内訳は亜全摘(ST)38例(30.6%),超亜全摘(SST)42例(33.9%),全摘(TT)44例(35.5%)であった.ST群,SST群,TT群の甲状腺摘出量(平均値)は,それぞれ109.4g,80.5g,88.9gであった.ST群,SST群,TT群間で手術時間,術後合併症(反回神経麻痺,術後出血,テタニー)の発生率に有意差を認めなかった.再発率はST群が10.5%,SST群4.8%であったが,有意差を認めなかった.TTの手術成績はST,SSTと比較して遜色がなかった.バセドウ病手術の基本術式として,再発の心配が全くないTTが妥当であると思われた.

本稿では,終助詞「もの」について,多くの先行研究や日本語教育での導入における意味・用法の記述(主に正当化や言い訳に用い,主に若い女性や子供が用いる)の妥当性を母語話者の使用実態を基に検証し,その本質的意味を考える。また,非母語話者の使用実態を調査し,コミュニケーション上の問題点を考察する。結果は次の4点である。1.「正当化・言い訳」用法は使用が少なく,理解・同意を提示/要求する用法や例などを示し理解を促す用法の使用が多い。2.性別・年齢差による使用の偏り(主に若い女性が使用)は各用法においてない。3.意味は「先行発話/事態の正当性を示す根拠を強い気持ちで提示する」ことを表す。4.非母語話者は上級者であっても使用が少なく,理解・同意を提示する用法の不使用がコミュニケーション上の問題点となりうる。以上の結果から,日本語教育では頻度・有用性ともに高い,理解・同意を提示する用法での導入を提案する。
