2009年、連合と連合総研は、深刻化するワーキングプア問題の解決をめざしてワーキングプア調査チームを組織し、実態調査を行った。それにより、以下の結論を得た。ワーキングプアの15歳のころの生活状況を調べると、貧困と不安定な家庭環境のもとで、家族とのつながりの希薄化、学校社会への中途半端な接合、低学歴に追いやられ、「社会化」が十分に達成できていない者が多くいた。また、労働世界におけるワーキングプアの仕事の周縁性や雇用の不安定さは、職場への接合の不確かさをもたらしている。その結果、職場組織だけでなく、家族、友人・知人、地域社会などとのつながりの希薄化がみられ、場合によっては精神疾患を患う者もいた。さらに、継続雇用と一時的失業を前提に設計された雇用保険などの社会保障制度から多くのワーキングプアが排除されている。同時に、これらの排除状況に対して、自らの思いや要求を発言する機会や場そのものが奪われていることもわかった。これらのことから、ワーキングプア問題は、子ども期の貧困と社会からの排除と深く結び付いていることが導き出された。また、この問題は、日本社会のメインストリームを形成している企業社会の論理やそれを前提とした社会保障制度からの排除と深く結び付いていることもわかった。すなわち、ワーキングプア問題は、日本の社会のあり方、とりわけ労働における差別と排除の最も深刻な問題であるといえよう。

This article deals with the relation between the medical discourse and that in the transgender community in Japan, which encompasses many participants of diverse gender identities. The participants communicate with one another not only in person but also by various means including internet. Sex-change surgery was recently legalized for those whose agony concerning gender identity cannot be removed by other means. A certain type of gender identity problems was medicalized as 'gender identity disorder'. Since the mass media reported a person who had undergone sex change surgery in Saitama Medical College, 'gender identity disorder' was socially acknowledged. Several affirmative reports contributed to make 'gender identity disorder' socially accepted. It seems that the medicalization is a great relief for those who have full assurance that only sex-change surgery can resolve their gender identity problems. This type of transgender people is categorized as TS (trans-sexual) in the transgender community, which also differentiates two other categories, TG (trans-gender), who may not undergo the surgery but take hormone treatment and TV (transvestite), who only manipulate their closes. Bu referring to the medicalization, a type of discourse that legitimizes and centers TS occurred in the community. It insists that only TS is pure and true and TG is less pure and further TV is rather false. While the medicalization aimed at saving transgender people, it leaded to the center-peripheral structure and to peripheralized participants' agony in the community. This article clarifies the process and logics how this discriminative structure arose, by looking at the medical and community discourse.

Many recent studies have suggested that deficits in dietary-based omega-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids may make an etiological contribution to mood disorders and that supplementation with omega-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids may provide a treatment strategy (Hagg, 2003; Parker, Gibson, Brotchie, Rees, & Handzi-Pavlovic, 2006; Vaddadi, 2006). However, a few studies did examine the relationship between daily food intake and mood disorders. Thus, we surveyed students with regard to these relationships. Two hundred and forty eight university students completed the SDS and eighty item food appetite survey. Results showed that low-depression group tended to favor fish and deep yellow vegetables more than the high-depression group. These results suggest that a preference for fish and deep yellow vegetables relates to depression. Antioxidative effects of these foodstuffs may facilitate antidepressive effects of omega-3 poly unsaturated fatty acids.

本稿では、日本の刑事ドラマである『相棒』と『踊る大捜査線』という二つを取り上げ、そこに現れるインド思想について考察した。『相棒』の主人公杉下右京はインドの古典『バガヴァッドギーター』の義務(dharma)の遂行という倫理にのっとった行動を示していた。また『踊る大捜査線』の室井慎次は、『ギーター』のクリシュナのように捜査員の苦しみや迷いを受けとめる神としての存在であった。すなわち、この二つのドラマには『ギーター』と同じ主題が流れていたのである。 In this paper, the author intends to examine Indian thought included in two Japanese Police dramas,"The Partne(Aibou)" and "Bayside Shakedown(Odoru daisousasen)". Ukyo Sugisihita is the hero of "The Patner". His acts shows ethics which is called execution of the duty(dharma)of the Bhagavadgita, a classical epic poetry of India. And Shinji Muroi from "Bayside Shakedown" , who is the head of the investigation headquarters of Metropolitan Police Department, accepts allthe investigator's perplexity and pain, as Krsna of Bhagavadgita, did. We therefore concluded that these two dramas have the same theme as Bhagavadgita,

This paper aims at assessing the relationship between religion and politics in contemporary Vietnam, with a focus on Caodaism reorganization. After the Vietnam War, the socialist government regarded religion as a nuisance and carried out a retaliatory re-education program—to no effect. In the process of clamping down on anti-government movements by devotees, the Communist Party conducted in-depth analysis on Caodaism and decided to remove the religious dignitaries, in line with their policy of suppressing religious authorities. In 1979, with the cooperation of some dignitaries, the government promulgated the Caodai Decree 01, aimed at the dissolution all Caodaism organizations. The Caodai Holy See was placed under the control of the state and changes were imposed; however, many branch temples subsequently reverted to selfmanagement. There are three possible reasons for this: first, the Holy See had lost all authority and influence over the branch temples; second, branch temples ignored the modified Holy See as the latter had obeyed the socialist government and betrayed Caodaism Law; third, there was no consistent policy in each province. These phenomena rattled the Communist Party, which feared its own collapse, in an echo of events in the Soviet Union. It thus embarked on a plan in 1992 to reorganize Caodaism, with the aim of occupying and controlling branch temples through "educated" dignitaries. While it is certain that Caodaism was officially recognized in 1997, this did not signal the beginning of religious freedom. On the contrary, it only reflected the Communist Party's policy to control religious opponents by authorizing religions.
