本稿では,空間型MMOGシステムを利用者から提供されるコンピュータノードを用いたP2Pドロネーネットワークにより構築する手法を提案する.本手法は,利用者の平面上のキャラクターの位置をノードの位置として,ドロネーネットワークを構成し,MMOGにおける処理を分散的に実行する.そこで,まずP2Pドロネーネットワークの構築手法を提案する.空間型MMOGにおいて,各プレイヤーのビュー生成に必要な情報は利用者のキャラクターの近傍のオブジェクト情報である.そこで,平面をボロノイ領域に分割し,各ノードに割り当て,そのボロノイ領域内に含まれるオブジェクト情報を各ノードが管理する手法についても提案する.更に,ノードの移動に備えてP2Pドロネーネットワークを保つ必要がある.そこで,ノードの位置情報の変化に基づきネットワークの組み替えを行い,P2Pドロネーネットワークを保ち続ける手法について提案し,検討を行う.

Besides bank notes, National Printing Bureau has produced a wide range of security documents since it was established in 1871. We have built the original design style based on the mixture of Japanese traditional customs and many western techniques. And current design of bank notes reflects the modernization after the Meiji Restoration. The design of bank notes must have reliability and security. And moreover, they should support the country dignity and respect. The design element of great depth is the key. This study considers the relation between the design of bank notes and society in view of design features of the bank notes.

To investigate the damage behavior of DLC (diamond-like carbon)-Si coating under high contact pressure, a series of experiments were carried out using the Vicker's hardness test. As substrate materials, alloy tool steel (SKD11) and high speed tool steel (SKH51) were used. In order to investigate the effect of coating thickness on coating damage, DLC-Si coatings with two thicknesses of 2.1μm and 4.0μm were prepared on SKD11. Coating damage was observed from the coating and cross-section surfaces. From observation of the coating surface, the indentation shapes of DLC-Si-coated tools were able to be sorted into 3 main types in terms of macroscopic coating damage level. For indentation shape type I, which shows no marked damage but a cross mark caused by the Vicker's indenter, cross-sectional observation was carried out, and a crack parallel to the coating surface was observed in all the DLC-Si coatings. It is inferred that the parallel crack in the coatings was generated by a force from the compressive residual stress of the coating.

Besides the unchanged drug, two major metabolites were found from the urine of animals that received orally high doses of bromazepam, 7-bromo-1,3-dihydro-5-(2-pyridyl)-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one. The metabolites were purified by column chromatography on silica gel and recrystallization. From the spectral and elemental analysis data, the structure of these metabolites were identified as 2-amino-5-bromobenzoylpyridine and assumed to be 2-amino-5-bromo-3-hydroxybenzoylpyridine, the latter being excreted as its glucuronide in the urine. It may be concluded that bromazepam after opening of the diazepine ring undergoes a process of hydroxylation.

Five metabolites appearing in the urine of the rabbit fed bromazepam were isolated; these are 2-(2-amino-5-bromobenzoyl)pyridine (ABBP), 2-(2-amino-5-bromo-3-hydroxybenzoyl)pyridine (3-OH ABBP), 3-hydroxybromazepam, and two new matabolites, 9-hydroxybromazepam and 5'-hydroxybromazepam. The new metabolites were characterized by thin-layer chromatography (TLC) ; elemental analysis, and infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectrometries. Metabolites, which were excreted mainly as conjugates of glucuronic acid and/or sulfuric acid, were measured by preparative TLC and characteristic colorimetric method after enzymic hydrolysis of the conjugates. Urinary excretion of bromazepam and its metabolites have been studied in dogs, rabbits, mice, rats and guinea pigs after massive doses of bromazepam. The conjugated 3-OH ABBP was the major metabolite in rabbits (17.1% of the dose) and dogs (6.2% of the dose) during 24 hr. The major metabolites found in rats, however, were the conjugated form of 3-OH ABBP (5.3% of the dose), 5'-hydroxybromazepam (4.2% of the dose), and ABBP (3.8% of the dose), and 9-hydroxybromazepam was not excreted. In mice the major metabolite was the unconjugated form of 3-hydroxybromazepam (7.5% of the dose). In guinea pigs, two unknown metabolites, besides the above five metabolites, were excreted, and it was confirmed that one of them was benzhydrol analog of ABBP. When intraperitoneal injection was compared with oral administration of the same dose in the rabbit, the urinary excretion of the ring-cleaved metabolites, ABBP and 3- OH ABBP, decreased, but that of the others, 3-hydroxybromazepam and 5'-hydroxybromazepam, increased. On the basis of these data, pathways of bromazepam were postulated (Chart 1). Quantitative differences in the urinary metabolites of bromazepam in each species was clearly observed during the first 24-hr period.

The possibility and the mechanical properties of Al/Cu dissimilar bonding with liquefaction by the reaction diffusion in air were investigated at the temperature range between the melting point of aluminum and the eutectic temperature of Al-Cu system equilibrium diagram. The surface of each specimen was prepared by a simple preprocessing with the polishing and the cleaning by acetone. The Al/Cu dissimilar joint could be obtained by this bonding process in air. The bonding pressure is an important factor for this bonding process. The increment of bonding temperature and the decrement of oxygen concentration of air also promote solid state diffusion at Al/Cu interface. All bonded specimens in this study were fractured by the brittle fracture mode like cleavage fracture. The phases observed mainly in fracture surface is θ phase. The tensile strength of specimen bonded in air is similar with that of specimen by the diffusion bonding in vacuum.

Cryptosporidium contaminates most surface waters around the world. It is difficult to remove through conventional treatment processes, and is extremely resistant to the method of chemical disinfection typically used to inactivate these microorganisms. We have developed a new technology for inactivating Cryptosporidium oocysts by using a pulsed arc discharge in water, which creates shock waves, UV emissions, and radicals. The pulsed arc is generated between two cylindrical stainless steel rod electrodes, 6 mm in diameter, and 2 mm apart. We applied this method to the inactivation of oocysts in backwash water from a sand-filter unit of a drinking water plant. The results indicate that the major factor influencing inactivation is UV emissions, and that more than 99% of the oocysts in the high turbidity backwash water (80 NTU) are inactivated with an energy of 0.24 kWh/m3.

"Public Understanding of Science (PUS)" has been paid attention to in many countries since 1980s. PUS tends to be confused with public acceptance of science, but it contains both getting correct information and decision-making based on informed decision. Science museums have been regarded outside politics, but their shortness of representation about social context and uncritical attitude to scientific progress are criticized from a view of PUS. Recently, science museums have challenged to represent contemporary science and technology. Their aim is to offer a basis for visitors to make up their own minds. The principle of learning/education about controversial science and technology is an open end process.

Practical Fischer glycosidation was effected at room temperature or 60℃ by using 5 to 10 equiv. of TMSCl. The anomeric propargyl group formed by this method was found to be a versatile new protecting group, being stable in neat TFA but readily cleaved by treatment with Co_2(CO)_8 and TFA in CH_2Cl_2 via the formation of an alkyne-Co complex.

Three-dimensional multi-layered optical storage is one of the most promising methods that break the limitation of recording density in optical storage. It stores the bit information onto the multilayered recording planes inside the thick recording medium and realizes the tremendous large recording capacity. This paper describes the recording/reading principles, the systems, and the materials suitable for three-dimensional multi-layered memory. We also present the experimental results that using photochromic organic materials and rhodamine-B-doped and Au(III)-doped PMMA for recording medium.

混乱プロジェクトを削減するためには組織としてプロジェクトのマネジメント力を向上させる施策に取り組む必要があり,そのための施策を企業レベルで推進するためにPMOが設置される.PMOの活動はPMOとプロジェクトチームの連携を基にしており,プロジェクトのマネジメント力の向上は両者の連携の仕方に依存している.本稿はこの連携の改善を図るためにSSM(Soft Systems Methodology(P.Checkland 1981))による"'本音"のディスカッションを通して問題把握を行った事例を述べ,SSMがプロジェクトの状況を改善するために有効なプロセスであることを示す.
