若年女性に多発する耐糖能異常の原因を解明するために、糖質制限によってインスリンの分泌能が低下するか検討した。健康な若年女性26名を被験者として、糖質30%の低糖質食を摂取する3ヶ月のオープン介入試験を行ない、介入前後の75gOGTTの結果を比較した。その結果、75gOGTTにおけるインスリン30分値及びインスリン初期分泌指数は有意に低下したが、インスリン感受性が有意に増加したために、血糖値に有意な差は認められなかった。一般化線形モデルを用いて検討した結果、インスリン分泌に影響を及ぼす因子は糖質摂取量の減少のみであった。3ヶ月間の低糖質食摂取により、インスリン分泌能が低下することが示唆された。

過去に開発されたエアギターシステムは,演奏者の左手に何らかの装置やセンサを持ち,ある場所が押された時に事前に割り当てられたコードの音を出すものばかりである.本研究では,左手に何も持たないエアギターシステムを提案する.ギターでの弾き語りのようなコード弾き奏法に関して,人間は音を聞かなくても左手の形を見ただけでどんなコードを押さえているのか見当がつく場合が多い.そこで,カメラを用いたエアギターシステムを提案する.左手の輪郭線,指の間のエッジを抽出した画像の特徴量を用いてギターのコード認識を行う.評価実験の結果,左手に何も持たなくても,76.3%の精度が出せるシステムが出来上がり,新しいアプリケーションの開発を行うことができた.

動物ショーやテレビ番組に出演するチンパンジー・パンくんの映像作品を用いて、パンくんの感情表出についての分析を行った。映像作品でのパンくんは、着衣で二足歩行を行うことが多く、自然なチンパンジーの姿とは大きく異なっていた。テレビ番組用の映像と動物ショーの本番の映像では、それ以外の動物園などでの映像と比べて、チンパンジー本来の姿とのズレが大きく、感情表出に関しては、ポジティブな笑顔や笑いの表出よりも、恐怖・不安・不満といったネガティブな表出が多い傾向があった。とくにテレビ番組では、パンくんに試練を課し、不安やストレスを与えるシーンもしばしば見られた。このようなパンくん自身の感情表出以外に、テロップ、ナレーションや、チンパンジーの音声の追加によって、パンくんの感情を演出または改変する場面もあった。以上の結果を元に、ショーやテレビにチンパンジーが出演することの問題点について議論した。また、動物の福祉を考える上で、笑いや遊びに注目する意義について考察した。

Fibromyalgia syndrome is a disease characterized by chronic pain and multiple tender points over the entire body. The cause of the disease is unknown, and patients are sometimes have various uncertain complaints. In this paper, we report a case of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) accompanied by fibromyalgia.The patient was a 26-year-old woman who received treatments for autonomic imbalance and panic disorder at a psychosomatic clinic. She complained of strong malaise, headache, tinnitus, insomnia, and constipation. She also had bilateral pain of the masticatory and neck muscles and around the temporomandibular joints. The range of maximum mouth opening was 23mm. The patient had edge-to-edge occlusion in the molar region and slight open bite in the incisor region.She received a diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders of type I and fibromyalgia. The patient was successfully treated with a stabilization splint for temporomandibular disorders and antidepressants for fibromyalgia.

Aquatic fauna found in 21 man-made biotopes that were established in agricultural and rural development projects in rural areas in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, were surveyed. A total of 117 species were captured or observed, including nine species of amphibians, 14 species of fish, 75 species of aquatic insects, ten species of crustaceans, and nine species of mussels and snails. Mostly aquatic insects made up the 38 species of odonates found. In addition, 24 coleopteran species and ten hemipteran species were discovered in the biotopes. The Red Data Book of Japan lists Rana nigromaculata, Cipangopaludina chinensis laeta, and Oryzias latipes latipes as endangered species, and these species were captured in 18, eight, and six out of 21 biotopes, respectively. In addition, two nonindigenous invasive species, Procambarus clarkii and Rana catesbeiana, were captured in 11 and six biotopes, respectively. The numbers of species varied greatly among biotopes, ranging from four to 59, suggesting that the effect of biotope on biodiversity was not uniform.

原著スポーツ場面において、ホームチームのほうがアウェイチームよりも有利だとするホームアドバンテージが指摘されてきた。ホームアドバンテージを生じる要因には習熟因子、移動因子、ルール因子、観客因子が挙げられる(Courneya & Carron, 1992)。観客因子に注目したとき、観客の人数や密度を比較した分析はなされてきたものの、純粋に観客の不在の効果を分析した研究は少ない。これはスポーツの試合において観客がいることが一般的だからである。そこで本研究では、インフルエンザ感染の拡大により複数の無観客試合が実施された2008-09シーズンのメキシコのサッカーリーグを対象として分析を行い、観客因子の効果を検討することを目的とした。分析の結果、選手のパフォーマンスにはホームアドバンテージの傾向が認められたものの、観客の有無による差異はみられなかった。一方で審判の判定は、観客の有無による警告数に差が一部認められた。

This paper examines the issue of joint custody after separation/divorce. Joint custody was provided for by Article 1671 of the German Civil Code in 1997. I have investigated the actual situation of joint custody and its support in Germany. Visitation and the right of parents to information about the child are also considered in relation to joint custody. Finally, taking into account the results of the study, this paper goes on to consider what is needed to introducing joint custody to Japan.

脳卒中片麻痺に処方される短下肢装具の機能を調査する目的で,全国の回復期リハビリテーション病院にアンケート調査を行った.集計した 226 病院の 2,260個の短下肢装具の機能について検討した結果,シューホーン AFO やオルトップ AFO など足関節の底屈,背屈に制動と補助の機能があるタイプが 56.62%と最も多く,底屈,背屈に固定,遊動,制限の設定ができるタイプが 16.64%で第2位であった.全国を 8つの地域区分で検討すると,ほぼ類似の処方傾向が見られたが,各県別での検討ではばらつきも少なくなかった.
