消化管のストーマはクリーブランドクリニックの原則に基づき臍を避けた下腹部に造設されることが多いが,臍部にストーマを造設し良好なケアができた症例を経験した.症例は74歳,女性.既往に慢性腎不全,貧血,洞不全症候群,慢性心不全,脳梗塞後遺症が存在した.横行結腸癌による大腸閉塞で入院となったが全身麻酔下に切除術を行うにはリスクが高いと判断し,局所麻酔下に横行結腸双孔式ストーマ造設術を行うこととした.患者は小柄痩せ型であり,面板が貼付できる平面を得ること,ほぼ寝たきり状態であることなどを考慮し臍部にストーマを造設した.術後経過は良好で,家族によるストーマケアができるようになり退院された.近年結腸ストーマを造設する機会は減少したが,症例によっては臍部がストーマ造設部位の良い選択肢になりうると考えられた.

The street protest action that crowded and was called "Sound demonstration (Sound Demo)" by young people during for several years came to be shown in the city in Japanese various places. The marcher dances the road, it walks, and this is a demonstration of the track where the sound speaker and machine parts for DJ were piled up to the head though this is a sink because of a large sound as for the dance music. This thesis pays attention to this sound demonstration that appeared in a Japanese society in recent years, and examines it as "Festival" or "Urban Festival". The sound demonstration starts sending the political expression in a festivity dimension. However, because it violates and disturbs the boundary of the festival and the demonstration, the police overreaction might be invited, and the boundary of the festival and the demonstration be made visible. However, intentional use of the festivity also gives birth also to the strategy that opposes the enclosure of such a festivity. That is, it is concluded that "Festivity as the strategy" is a device thought out to make the situation advantageous by reading the combat rule of demonstration that rules the scene of the action directly in a different way in this thesis.

A semi-submersible displacement-type high-speed ship with wings is studied on its stability control by flaps.The vehicle, called HSV (High-speed Semi-submersible Vehicle with wings) here, is consisting of a main hull, main and tail wings with flaps, and a strut to support the super-structure. The HSV floats at a certain draft like a conventional ship while it is still, and it submerges when it moves forward due to a downward lift force induced by the main wings. HSV cannot have enough upright moment as conventional ships because of its small waterplane area. HSV is expected to be stable by an active control of flaps.Experiments are carried out to study about the possibility of the stability control by the flaps of the main and tail wings. An automatic control system is developed under which HSV is towed with the heaving, rolling, pitching and yawing motions free. The angles of attack of flaps are controlled after the measured ship motion in order to stabilize the motion.It is concluded that, although the control is not perfect due to the mechanical limitation of the used system, HSV can run stably by the active control of the flaps. The experiments among regular waves made clear that waves could not be a serious factor for the stability of HSV.

タケネズミ類は穴居性の大型の齧歯目のグループで,東アジアでは現生のものと第四紀の化石として知られるものは,このグループのタケネズミ属にほぼ限定される.本論文では,東アジアでの更新世のタケネズミ属化石の分布を,データソースを示したうえで,分布図にまとめた.分布図から,前期更新世の産地のほとんどは中国南部にあり,前期更新世にはこの属が中国南部に広く分布していたこと,中・後期更新世の化石産地はそれよりはるかに多く,やはりほとんどが中国南部に分布し,この属がその時期にトウヨウゾウとともに中国南部の動物群の主要要素であったことがわかる.一方,中国北部には化石産地はほとんどなく,中国東北部や朝鮮半島,本州・四国・九州,琉球列島,台湾には化石産地はない.中期更新世の日本には,トウヨウゾウが中国南部から移入した時期があったが,それに伴って移入した種類は少ない.移入しなかったものの代表がタケネズミ属である.

目的:高齢になり運転などの移動手段を変更する必要がある場合に,個人の感情面や態度の準備状況を把握するための自記式質問紙としてAssessment of Readiness for Mobility Transition(ARMT)がある.本研究ではARMT日本語版(ARMT-J)の言語的妥当性を検証することを目的とした.方法:「尺度翻訳に関する基本指針」を参考にして「順翻訳,調整,逆翻訳,逆翻訳のレビュー,認知的デブリーフィング,認知的デブリーフィングのレビュー,校正,最終報告」を実施した.順翻訳と調整は国内の作業療法士3名が行い,逆翻訳は翻訳会社に依頼した.逆翻訳のレビューと認知的デブリーフィングのレビューは開発責任者に依頼し,認知的デブリーフィングは地域在住高齢者5名を対象に行った.結果:順翻訳では5項目,逆翻訳のレビューでは3項目で意見の相違が確認された.特に項目11の原文である「Moving to a retirement community is too restrictive for my desired mobility.」の中の「retirement community」は日本では普及しておらず,翻訳者間で日本語訳に相違を認めた.海外では「retirement community」は高齢者のための居住地域または建物と定義されており,翻訳にかかわった作業療法士3名と開発責任者にて協議のうえ,日本語訳は「高齢者のための住宅」とした.さらに,開発責任者に確認を行い,加齢のため移動手段を変更せざるを得ない場合,居住地域を変更する必要があるという意味が含まれているという補足文書をつけ,ARMT-Jを完成させた.結論:本研究ではARMT-Jの言語的妥当性を検討し,妥当と思われる日本語訳を作成した.

The development of hydrogen technologies entails high safety requirements in distribution and dispensing infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to pursue research on material compatibility in hydrogen, especially for critical parts with tribological issues. The focus of this study is to evaluate the influence of hydrogen on a wider range of commercially available polymer materials. Thereby, the friction and wear behavior of different grades of TPE, POM, PA66, PA12, PPA, PEEK, PPS, PTFE, PAI, PI and PBI were investigated against a rotating steel disk (AISI 304). Filled and unfilled polymers from different suppliers were evaluated at room temperature in air, vacuum temperature, the effect of hydrogen environment on the tribological behavior of neat polymers may be related to lack of moisture, but also to saturated hydrocarbons in gaseous hydrogen. In liquid hydrogen, the best tribological performances were achieved with neat PA polymers as well as PPS and PI composites.

The research discussed in this paper proposed a control method that imparts equivalent friction to electronic power steering (EPS) systems in order to improve the steering feel. In order to impart friction stably, the proposed method uses motor torque rather than mechanical elements to impart friction. First, the effect of friction on the steering system was considered theoretically using simple harmonic motion models, and it was demonstrated theoretically that steering responsiveness could be increased by imparting appropriate friction force to the steering system. Based on the results of this analysis, a target value for equivalent friction force to be imparted by means of EPS control system was formulated. A method of linear approximation of the friction force necessary to realize equivalent friction force based on this target value was proposed. The method was applied in an actual vehicle, and the EPS system configuration necessary for the desired effect to be obtained was examined. It was considered that a system configuration incorporating a steering torque sensor with high torsional rigidity would be necessary, and a control method for imparting equivalent friction force was proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified in simulations using a vehicle model and in tests involving an actual vehicle. The vehicle model simulations demonstrated that the application of the proposed method increased steering responsiveness. The vehicle tests verified that the proposed method made it possible to obtain a stable steering feel, and was also effective in improving steering feel.

Since the new era of infrared astronomy was opened by the Two Micron Sky Survey by Neugebauer et al. in the early 1960s, about a half century has passed. During this time, observations have expanded rapidly and widely, to almost every field of astronomy, to reveal new perspectives on the universe. As a result, infrared astronomy has become one of the major branches of astronomy, along with optical, radio, X-ray as well as high-energy particle astronomy. In Japan, we started our infrared astronomical activities at a rather early time, under relatively poor technical and environmental conditions, and using somewhat unconventional methods to overcome these difficulties. Here, a brief survey is presented of developments concerning infrared astronomy during the past half century, while mainly recollecting our footprints in the stream of world activities.

日本の伝統音楽の基盤であるわらべうたは,子どもが遊びの中で創作した自然発生的な音楽である.わらべうたと類似した音楽に童謡がある.両者の音楽は子どもに親しまれているが,童謡は大人が子どもに親しんでもらう明確な意図のもとで作曲された音楽という点でわらべうたと異なる.本研究では,子どもたちが自然な感覚で創作したわらべうたの旋律的特徴のことを「子どもらしさ」と定義し,童謡の旋律がもつ「子どもらしさ」の表現方法を計量的に明らかにした.わらべうた,童謡,同時代の日本の流行歌の旋律から音程と音価を抽出し,それらを特徴量とする計量比較を実施した.3者の共通点と相違点を明確に説明する特徴量を考察することで,童謡の旋律がもつ「子どもらしさ」が限定された範囲内での音程推移と跳躍のあるリズムの組み合わせによって作られていることが明らかになった.

Dietary intake of medium-chain triacylglycerols (MCTs) is known to alleviate obesity. MCTs have also been suggested to beneficially influence protein metabolism. This study evaluated the effects of dietary intake of MCTs on energy restriction-induced weight control and loss of skeletal muscle. Rats were divided into the following groups: 1) AL-LCT group that received the AIN-93G-based control diet containing long-chain triacylglycerols (LCTs) ad libitum, 2) ER-LCT group fed the control diet with 30% energy restriction, and 3) ER-MCT group fed a diet containing MCTs with 30% energy restriction. After the 4-wk dietary treatment, both energy-restricted groups had significantly lower body weight than the AL-LCT group and rats in the ER-MCT group were significantly lighter than those in the ER-LCT group. In contrast, the extent of energy restriction-induced loss of skeletal muscle was not significantly different between the two energy-restricted groups, resulting in an increase in muscle mass relative to body weight in the ER-MCT group. Despite maintaining the lower body weight, dietary intake of MCTs did not further influence signaling pathways involved in protein synthesis or breakdown. These results suggest that intake of MCTs could be a valuable dietary intervention to maintain a lower body weight and increase relative muscle mass without negative effects on skeletal muscle protein metabolism.
