This paper provides a new formulation for the principle of effective demand. this new formulation, the principle boils down to a specific behavior of producer firms (and sellers). After giving new definitions in Section 2, the main part of this paper (Section 3), based on the study by Shiozawa, Morioka, and Taniguchi (2019) Microfoundations of Evolutionary Economics, Springer, Tokyo, proves that the behavior of individual firms generates the macroeconomic result that is typically interpreted as the principle of effective demand. Sections 4 and 5 provide the price theory that explains the irrelevance of price rigidity arguments. While the paper provides a new scheme of microfoundations, Section 6 presents a new framework for methodology arguments between micro and macro. Many Post Keynesians claim that microfoundations are impossible and unnecessary. The paper demonstrates why they are wrong. Finally, Section 7 shows that many fields of economics may find unexplored paths of development in the new scheme which sees micro and macro coherently linked.

François Mitterrand was elected as the President of French Republic in 1981. The article asks if this change of government in France had a substantial and direct effect to the foreign policy of the country, especially when one compares it with the previous administration. It starts with an examination of the existing literature of the relationship between national politics and foreign policy. The author states that there is no direct and mechanical effect between the change in national politics and in the diplomacy; however, the latter is activated by the former when some conditions are met. When analyzing the case of “Euro-missile Crisis” in the early 1980’s, we clearly see that the Mitterrand Presidency has changed its policy stance as compared to the opposition period and also to its predecessor. The Mitterrand Presidency showed a clear preference to the “Atlantist” policy, and supported the deployment of the U.S Pershing Missile in West Europe. At least this case leads to the fact that there is an obvious shift in policy that has been made by the change of government, and that the literature stressing on the continuity in French diplomacy doomed to be false. In fact, the reasons of the decision made by the new presidency were multi-faced: 1) to give assurance to the U.S. that the new presidency, even there are Communists inside the government and to be recognized as the legitimate Left government, 2) to show its electorates the difference compared to the former government, 3) to exclude the possibility that the West Germany possess a nuclear weapon, and finally 4) to keep French strategic independence. But the decision was not clearly taken from the beginning; the above-mentioned policies were consequence of a strategic consideration after failure of the Socialist diplomatic agenda which intended to change the U.S monetary policy and to strengthen North-South cooperation. The French diplomatic historian Pierre Renouvin and Jean-Baptiste Duroselle pointed out that in the age of democratic governance, political leaders had to be careful about the “mood” generated by the direct and indirect demand from the internal politics. If they are only adaptive to the international environment, it can be contrary an obstacle to the diplomacy. In other words, a skilful diplomacy means to conciliate the state as an actor and as an arena. After a close examination of the Mitterrand diplomacy in the early 1980’s, we can conclude, despite many miscalculations, that at least the maneuver on missile deployment has been a success as a result of the change of government, and has restore the equilibrium between France and conditions of the New Cold war.

「あアラウド法」は,実験参加者が「あ」のみを発声することで,実験参加者のリアルタイムな感情を観測する手法である.この手法は,明確な評価基準を定義しにくいエンタテイメントコンテンツの評価に役立つ可能性がある.一方で,発声方法や感情分析の妥当性については,十分な検討がなされていない.そこで本研究では,「あアラウド法」を感情観測手法として確立するため,発声方法が結果に与える影響と,感情分析の実行可能性についての実験を行い,適した実験設計と有用性について考察した.

This paper examines the Noh space that is located within the modern industrialist's residence. With the arrival of modern times, Industrialists had become very interested in certain sophisticated aspects of their culture. Most Industrialists were very interested in traditional Japanese culture, especially with regard to the aspects of Tea and Noh where two particular aspects of traditional Japanese culture that interested the most industrialists. They practiced Noh dancing, and also built Noh spaces in their private residences. This paper will examine how these Noh spaces were built, the building process and analyze the character of these spaces.

Used plastic waste flowing into ocean has become a worldwide problem. In recent years international trade in used waste plastics has been regulated. Therefore, a large amount of used plastic should be disposed domestically. On the other hand, used waste plastics with high calorific value could be used as an energy source. Then a gasification process of used plastics using fluidized bed has been newly developed. In this process, used plastics were decomposed in a fluidized bed reactor at around 600°C which was lower temperature than that used in current commercial processes. Higher calorific value gas could be attained by a gasification reaction control at the lower temperature. Hydrogen enriched gas generated from the water gas shift reaction of the basic oxygen furnace gas was used as fluidizing, or gasifying agent since hydrogen was considered to have an effect for promoting the decomposition reaction of hydrocarbon in used plastics. As fluid medium in the reactor, catalysts were used to improve gasification efficiency. In this study, the effect of gasification temperature and the type of the catalyst on a calorific value of produced gas and a gasification efficiency were investigated. High calorific value gas (LHV: 5000 kcal/Nm3) could be successfully produced from pyrolysis of used plastics by appropriate gasification temperature and catalyst.

非常にまれな胃異所性膵から発生した腺癌の1例を報告する. 症例は64歳の男性で, 胸膜炎の経過観察中に, 胸部CTにて胃幽門部大彎側に径3.0cmの腫瘤を偶然に指摘された. 上部消化管内視鏡検査, 超音波内視鏡検査を施行したところ, 幽門前庭部になだらかな隆起性病変を認め, 筋層を主座とする粘膜下腫瘍を認めた. Retrospectiveには2年前のCTでも存在しており, 腫瘍径にほとんど変化を認めなかった. しかし, 幽門狭窄症状を来したため, 胃gastrointestinal stromal tumorの術前診断のもと腹腔鏡下幽門部分切除術を施行した. 腫瘍の一部を術中迅速診断に提出したところ, 胃異所性膵と考えられた. 永久標本では粘膜下層から漿膜下にかけて腫瘍が存在し, 一部に腺癌への移行像を認め, 異所性膵から発生した高分化型腺癌と診断された. 粘膜下腫瘍の治療においては, 悪性腫瘍が併存する可能性も念頭におく必要がある.

この「五感のデザインワークブック」は、約20年にわたり日米の大学で教えてきた五感を刺激する一連の空間に関わるデザイン演習を体系的なシステムにまとめたものである。デザインに必要な感性には体験力・直感力・創造力・イメージ力などがある。全身を通じ、そのカタチの無い感覚的なものをカタチに出来る力をつける演習に仕立てた。読者が気にもとめなかった日常のささいな出来事や生活空間を、五感を研ぎ澄ませて臨むこの12種類の演習を通じて、新たな発見を楽しみ、好奇心を持ってデザイン制作、活動の素地を養える様、工夫した。また近年、幅広い領域で求められている独創性やクリエイティブマインド、デザインを思考する力も意識して、この教育システムをデザインし、本にまとめた。

各国とも人口動態統計の整備される以前には月別出生の統計はなく, 長期の変動を観察するための資料に乏しい.このたび信頼できると思われる朝鮮の族譜の記録から1399~1980年生まれで出生年月の明らかな13, 004人について調べ, 従来知られていなかった朝鮮での月別出生数を明らかにした.その結果, 15~18世紀には春と秋の2つの山がみられたが, 19世紀以降はその傾向が弱まり, さらに20世紀中ごろになると春の山のみが高くなり, 20世紀前半の日本と共通のパターンが見られた.その後, 日本では1964年から一年中ほぼ平坦となったが, 朝鮮では1970~1980年代に入っても, まだ早生まれの多いパターンを残していた.本研究の20世紀に入ってからの動向は, 朝鮮総督府統計年報や韓国人口動態統計から調べた一般人口の結果とほぼ一致した.

The transfer of tritium from a mouse injected with tritiated water to a mouse contact with the injected mouse was observed. Tritium transfered mainly through the air of small cage where both mice were haused. The kinetics of transfer to the tissues exposed to air, the skin and the lens, were similar to those to the tissues unexposed to air, the muscle and the testes. The absorbed doses of contact mice were 3-8% of injected mice for 125hr. The results showed that the contaminated individual was the source of contamination himself.

The various changes occuring in sperm are often used to estimate the effects of toxic substances in the environment, for the reasons that sperm are the experimental materials concerning to the genetic effects and we can get them easily and repeatedly. As the environmental external ionizing radiation and radioactive elements in the environment are the factors to induce various effects on human body; it is likely to use sperm to estimate the effects of these factors on human body. The present experiment was carried out to evaluate whether the morphological or histochemical changes in sperm were of use to estimate the effects of radiation in the environment health physically, or not. X-rays and tritiated water were used in the present experiment. The observed effects in sperm were the reduction in sperm, morphological changes of sperm head, and the incidence of α-glycerolphophate dehydrogenase (α-GPD) deficient sperm. The results showed that the incidence of the α-GPD deficient sperm was the most suitable index to show the effects of ionizing radiation in three observed changes in sperm, because this change is hardly observed in the normal unirradiated mice and the incidence of α-GPD deficient sperm increased linearly till 1.5 Gy, that is, the relation was shown by the equation: y (%, incidence)=3.07×(Gy, dose).

The concept of a permissible dose is one appearing at a contactpoint of natural and social sciences. The permissible dose in radiation protection was adopted as a model in the present paper, reason being to analyze the concept historically and to realize and understand the process of development, as this concept has been discussed extensively in radiation protection. It is emphasized here that not only somatic but also genetic changes are included in biological responses where permissible doses are concerned. The permissible dose is being considered separately for the individual and for workmen in shops where they may contact agents concerned with the permissible dose. A decision has been reached utilizing ecological knowledge including mechanisms of dilution and concentration on a global scale. In general, the permissible dose has been estimated conceptually pivoting on the balance of benefit and injury for humans. It is extremely necessary to know for whom it is beneficial and for whom it is injurious. When discussing a permissible dose, medical staff should arrive at decisions from purely medical and biological viewpoints rather than from the viewpoint of balance.
