単一化に基づく自然言語処理において、単一化手続きは最も処理時間の割合が大きく、これを高速化することが重要な課題となっている。これに対し、並列処理をすることによる高速化の手法を考える。まず、効率の良い並列化が可能なTomabechiの時間差準破壊型単一化アルゴリズムについて考察し、これを並列に処理する手法を提案する。また、日本語文解析における単一化手続きにおいてこの並列アルゴリズムを用いて実験を行ない、並列化の効果と課題について述べる。

U Thuzana is a Karen monk from Myanmar who has been constructing many pagodas on both sides of the Thai-Myanmar border. His pagoda construction is made possible by donations from political, economic, and military leaders, on the one hand, and through the labor and devotion by local followers, especially among the Karen, on the other. This paper analyzes the dynamic process of this saintly leadership, followers' devotion, and pagoda construction, which must be understood in the context of the layered religious practices found in this cross-border region since the nineteenth century. In Myanmar, U Thuzana has become involved in ethnic politics even as he claims to maintain political neutrality. In Thailand, he is entering into a terrain where the khruba tradition is still alive with expectant followers.The paper examines three issues: firstly, it questions foregoing discussion that understands millennialistic religious movements and saintly monks enterprises as resistance to the state, and reexamines categorical understanding such as non-Buddhist versus Buddhist, hill versus valley, or resistance versus accommodation. Rather than explain the movements in relation to states, as in previous studies, this paper will look at these movements from its own logic. Secondly, it examines the dynamics that constitute charismatic power of the saints through pagoda construction by focusing on the relationship between the saintly figures and their followers, of which there are two major types: the donors and the devotees. Thirdly, it situates this process in the construction of sacred space in the modern state territory.

関節リウマチ(RA)患者の大関節を詳細に評価可能なARASHIスコアリングシステムを用い,TNF阻害療法を行った患者の股関節と膝関節のX線画像の変化を経時的に評価した.RA51症例の182関節を検討すると,ARASHI statusスコアが3点以上の股関節・膝関節は,TNF阻害療法を行っていたにもかかわらず,ARASHI changeスコアが2年までに2点以上進行していた.股関節・膝関節のARASHI statusスコアはその後の関節破壊の進行を予測し得るスコアであり,関節破壊進行を阻止するためにはstatusスコアが低い段階でTNF阻害療法を開始する必要があると考えられた.

Bovine liposomal-encapsulated superoxide dismutase (L-SOD) which was developed by A. M. Michelson has overcome the pharmacobiochemical problems (disadvantages) of the injection of SOD preparations ; the very short life span of free SOD (6 min) was to considerable extent prolonged (6-7 hr), and weak fixation and penetration (permeability) to the membranes of target cells where oxygen radicals or lipid peroxides are exerting their harms. As previously reported by us, the injection (2.5 mg twice a week) of L-SOD was markedly effective in Kawasaki's disease (mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome), intestinal ulcer of Behçet's disease, Crohn's disease and colitis ulcerosa, and lung fibrosis of progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) and polymyositis (dermatomyositis). In addition, severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Sjögren syndrome and other oxygen radical-or lipid peroxide-related diseases are improved by L-SOD injection. Recently, it has been further found that L-SOD (1.5 mg twice a week) is effective in liver cirrhosis, fibrosis induced by radiation, and schizophrenics. Acute paraquat toxicosis taken for the purpose of suicide which had been completely beyond the treatment was well treated with continuous drip infusion of L-SOD. Skin ulcer lesions were also in shorter period healed and keloid formation was prevented with L-SOD injection. However, not only other free SOD preparations but also L-SOD have various problems and questions in their pharmacologic and biochemical actions in the body to be solved or to be answered. In animal experiment, it was verified that SOD does not work dose-dependently, but the dosis over optimal concentration adversely stimulate and increase inflammation. It has been the great question why only a very small amount of enzyme (1.5 mg twice a week) actually and effectively prevents inflammation ; this dosis is 1/20 to 1/150 of the SOD which usually exists in each tissue or organ in the body. Next, it is also the great question why allogeneic (human) SOD is ineffective in the diseases while heterogeneic (bovine) SOD is effective. Although in part answered by us1, 7) and Michelson, why heterogeneic SOD has shown no severe allergy such as anaphylaxis? Further, regarding the clinical effectiveness of L-SOD in Behçet's disease, why L-SOD is ineffective in ocular type while it is dramatically effective in intestinal type? SOD preparations including L-SOD, although they seem to be actually recommendable for the various inflammatory diseases, there have been several problems to solved, and L-SOD is also still required to be improved, Additionally, it is not unlikely that allogeneic (human) SOD preparations are clinically effective in the diseases.

物語の自動生成では計量的な構造分析に基づく手法などが試みられてきた.しかし従来の対象は短い物語パターンのみであり,複数の起承転結のパターンを複合した複合的構造の分析とその応用は,ロールプレイングゲーム(RPG)のジャンルを除きほとんど行われておらず,また複合的構造の多様性や時系列的変化は明らかになっていない. 本研究では,高評価のRPGシリーズを対象として,物語構造分析と並行して物語中の複数の起承転結のパターンの連続・入れ子・並列関係のデータ化を行った.シリーズ間を比較した結果,ドラゴンクエストは、人物変化、世界設定開示など冒険型の展開が多く,ポケットモンスターは能力向上、障害撤去、戦いなど戦闘型の展開が多かった。一方でファイナルファンタジーは能力低下、逃亡、災難などネガティブイベントが多く対象年齢の高さがうかがわれた。 複合的構造の時系列的変化はシリーズ共通で序盤・中盤・終盤に3構造に分かれ,中盤では多段の入れ子や並列構造によって複雑かつ自由度の高い物語を提示する特徴が明らかになった.本研究の成果はユーザー層に合わせた長編作品の自動生成などの基盤として活用可能と考えられる.

Generation of singlet oxygen by solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes acute inflammatory responses in the skin. Accumulation of singlet-oxygen-quenching antioxidants in the skin can suppress this photo-oxidative stress. This study evaluated the effect of dietary xanthophylls from red paprika fruit extract on UV-induced skin damage. A randomised double-blind placebo-controlled parallel group comparison study involving 46 healthy volunteers was performed. The minimal erythema dose (MED) of each individual was determined prior to the study. A capsule containing paprika xanthophylls (9 mg) or a placebo was administered daily for 5 weeks. The MED, minimal tanning dose (MTD), skin physiology parameters (skin color, hydration, and barrier function), and facial skin physiology parameters were evaluated at weeks 0, 2, and 4. The MED of the verum group at 2 and 4 weeks after administration was significantly higher than that of the placebo group. At 4 weeks, the suppression of UV-induced skin darkening by the verum diet was significantly greater than that of the placebo. There were no significant differences in facial skin parameters between the verum and placebo groups. Our results indicate the efficacy of dietary paprika xanthophylls in suppression of UV-induced skin damage.

「糖尿病性腎症」の病理分類が提唱され,病理所見と予後との関連が報告されている.一方,「糖尿病性腎臓病(diabetic kidney disease:DKD)」に包括される病態として,顕性アルブミン尿を伴わない糸球体濾過量(glomerular filtration rate:GFR)低下例では,軽微な糖尿病性糸球体病変とは対照的に,尿細管間質病変及び血管病変が進展した“腎硬化症”の特徴も認められる.さらに,糖尿病例には,糖尿病と直接関連しない腎疾患の合併も認められる.糖尿病に伴う腎障害の早期診断,予後診断ならびに特異的診断において,病理所見による層別化が有用と考えられる.
