[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of lumbar stabilization exercises using flexi-bar (FB) on pain, functional disability, transverse abdominis muscle (TrA) activation capacity and thickness in patients with chronic low back pain (CLBP). [Subjects and Methods] Twenty-seven patients were randomly assigned to an experimental (14 patients performing stabilization exercises with flexi-bar (FB)) or control (13 patients performing stabilization exercises) group. The patients in both groups then underwent stabilization exercises with or without FB 30 min/day, 3 times a week, for 6 weeks. The main outcome measures were perceived disability based on the pain, Oswestry disability index (ODI), TrA activation capacity and thickness. [Results] Both groups showed improved ODI, VAS, and TrA activation capacity performed for 6 weeks in patients with CLBP, but all outcomes, except for TrA thickness, showed greater improvements in patients following stabilization exercises with FB than following stabilization exercises. [Conclusion] Based on the above results, lumbar stabilization exercises with FB could restoring pain, functional disability and improving TrA activation capacity in CLBP patients.

For aluminum and its alloys are cmployed for constructional materials contact with steam, they must have superior corrosion resistance in it, but the investigations on the action of steam vapor on aluminum and its alloys almost have not been canied out in the past. This corrosion test were made on usual trade aluminum alloys to determine the resistance to corrosion in steam atmosphere by measuring the weight loss, and the decreasing of tensile strength and elongation during test.(1) As compared with Fe, aluminum and its alloys has become established high resistance to corrosion in steam.(2) High-purity aluminum, under steaming stmosphere, surpasses the other aluminum and its alloys in resistance to corrosion. This resistance increases with increase in purity. However, the effects of a few impurity, Fe and Cu, to the resistance to corrosion are to be considered.(3) It is unexpected that the resistance of 52S is following to high-purity aluminum.

The objectives of this study were to assess if Clinofibrate (CF) treatment improved lipid metabolism in dogs, and to clarify whether its efficacy is influenced by canine characteristics. We collected medical records of 306 dogs and performed epidemiological analyses. Lipid values of all lipoproteins were significantly decreased by CF medication, especially VLDL triglyceride (TG) concentration (mean reduction rate=54.82%). However, 17.65% of dogs showed drug refractoriness in relation to TG level, and Toy Poodles had a lower CF response than other breeds (OR=5.36, 95% CI=2.07–13.90). Therefore, our study suggests that genetic factors may have an effect on CF response, so genetic studies on lipid metabolism-related genes might be conducted to identify variations in CF efficacy.

同性愛嫌悪の根強いラテンアメリカ諸国でも、近年同性カップルに法的保護が与えられつつある。また、ラテンアメリカの男性同性愛者を捉える研究モデルであった、アクティーボ(activo)/パッシーボ(pasivo)の二分法の意義も見直されている。本稿の目的は、そうした変化を踏まえて、メキシコの男性同性愛を捉え直す方向性を検討することにある。アクティーボ/パッシーボの二分法に還元して男性同性愛を語ることは、文化本質主義であり、多様な性的実践を看過するものだと近年批判されている。批判の際に注目されてきたのは、象徴的暴力を防ぐ為に男性同性愛者が実践してきた性行為である。その行為を表すのに越境の隠喩が用いられ、実際に国家を越えた移動や国家間関係はメキシコの男性同性愛者に影響を与えてきた。ゆえに、文化本質主義批判を踏まえた上でも、国家間関係に配慮してメキシコの男性同性愛を分析する必要がある。だがその際には、異性愛者の性愛倫理について指摘されてきた国家間関係と比較していく必要がある。

This study is to give some consideration to the area plan on the basis of the contents of the writing of "Munafuda" In this paper, the anther describs about the "Munafuda" of Arasuna-Daimyoujin shrine. As a result, the important points are as follows: (1) The present main shrine of Arasuna is supposed to have been built by the architects, Ogura Sonosaburo, in 1813. (2) From the contents of the writing of "Munafuda", the Arasuna shrine should establish relations with the neiboring district as in oldtimes in the various divine services.

This thesis argues that the representations of ancient architecture in Chinese period movies, instead of only being criticized for its authenticity, could be considered as research materials in architectural history field, in the meaning of reflecting multiple factors and the relationship between them during the process of creating the images of “Chinese architecture”. Confucius (1940) , which is the first period movie in China that a professional architect, FEI Kang, was in charge of the research and design of the set, is selected to be the subject, and the relationship between the set design, the Chinese architectural history studies at that time, and the modern buildings, is being investigated. This thesis makes it clear that, facing a serious lack of reference materials for the Spring and Autumn Period (B.C. 770-B.C. 403), FEI Kang turned to materials from later times and adjusted them in a way following theories promoted by Chinese architectural historians in 1930s. The using of dougong of the simplest shape from later times in Confucius's residence set owes to the focus on dougong from architectural historians, and the simplification of existing buildings of Confucian temple to make the set of Apricot Pavilion reflects the rejection to ornaments also from architectural historians. At the same time, in the interior set for Confucius's residence, FEI Kang designed rectangle windows, which indicates an influence from the horizontal window of Modernism, to deal with the blank of research on interior in Chinese architectural history studies. At the end, this thesis concludes that the representation of ancient architecture in the period movie Confucius is thus a creative concretization of the ideal image of "Chinese architecture" implied in Chinese architectural history studies.
