This research employed an extended hypothetical model that included the cognitions of attribution and importance from Oliver's (1980) expectancy-disconfirmation model. The model examined factors which might mitigate the experiences of dissatisfied passengers who encountered the types of service disruption that occur frequently on city train routes. A covariance structural analysis model was applied to questionnaire data obtained from 5 383 railroad users who encountered problems. The passengers' degree of discontent was most strongly influenced by their evaluation of the responsibility attributed by the railroad company. The strong influence of the passengers' impression of the impropriety of the railroad company's announcements regarding the train service make it imperative for the railroad company to take strong corrective action. The passengers' dissatisfaction will decrease greatly when there are appropriate announcements, in addition to the alleviation of discrepancies related to time, confusion, and changes.

本テーマセッションは,日本家族社会学会創立20周年を記念して,編集委員会と研究活動委員会の共同企画により,日本の家族社会学の過去20年における研究動向を理論的展開に注目して総括するとともに,今後の課題を展望しようとするものである。はじめに池岡義孝氏から,「戦後家族社会学の展開とその現代的位相」という題目のもと,戦後における家族社会学の研究史のなかに過去20年を位置づけるという総論的な報告があった。続く4人の報告者には,この期の家族社会学研究において生産性が高く,かつ,家族と他の制度領域,もしくは家族社会学と他の学問領域とのインターフェイス部分でなされた研究の動向について報告をお願いした。具体的には,「教育学と家族研究」(小玉亮子氏),「ケアの社会学と家族研究」(井口高志氏),「階層研究と家族社会学」(岩間暁子氏),「フェミニズム論と家族研究」(千田有紀氏)である。なお,司会は,藤崎宏子と宮本みち子が務めた。

Adam Smith used the phrase‘invisible hand’only in one place in the Wealth of Nations. But his thinking expressed by this phrase is found throughout the book.The thinking of Adam Smith is not easy to be interpreted, for many sources of thought at that time have been holded in his thinking. We must tackle with problems as to religious faith versus knowledge, individual versus social and normative versus positive.After Adam Smith, most of rationalists make efforts to visualize‘invisible hand’by the formation of equilibrium theory of perfectly competitive market. However, from empirical point of view, the idea of general equilibrium in perfect competition seems to be dubious, although the idea of partial equilibrium is empirically admitted. Some interpreters insist on‘invisible hand’as the individualistic and spontaneous order without governmental interventions. But other interpreters admit intervention or planning, not wholly but partially, as far as individuals are not necessarily rational.In conclusion, it seems to me that Smithian phrase‘invisible hand’becomes a subject of discussion even today. Here, I want to refer, according to K. Popper, to the words of a greek philosopher:“Nicht vom Beginn an enthüllen die Götter uns Sterblichen alles. Aber im Laufe der Zeit finden wir, suchend, das Bess're.”

Today there are large number of studies concering the problems of familial caregivers. However, little attention has been given to the process by which the caregivers coping strategy changes in a difficult situation. In order to understand caregiver's experiences, this paper tries to focus on the changing process of caregivers “routinization strategy”. The routinization strategy is divided into two ways: one is “drawing a line between caregiving tasks and non caregiving works”, the other is “shortcutting in interaction with the care recipient”. After an examination based on interviews with familial caregivers, we found that the increasing needs of caregiving tasks would lead caregivers to the following two problematic outcomes: first, they cannot “draw lines, second, it is difficult for them to gain the meaning from continuing to do caregiving. We further found that these two outcomes would lead caregivers to an ever more troubled situation.

本稿の目的は, 家族社会学の形成過程を探るという問題関心の下, 戸田貞三の初期著作において, 家族が, どのように問題にすべきものとして構成されているのかを検討することである。彼の初期著作において看過できないのは, 明らかな社会改良への志向である。制度や集団, その成員, あるいは生活形式などの一般的なタームも, その志向をめぐって組織化されており, それによって社会的な弊害が析出される。そこで重要になるのは人々が正確な事実を知り, それに基づいて行為することであり, そのための契機として家族は位置づけられている。統計法はそうした人々が基づくべき事実を知らしめるための方法であり, それによって, 彼の論理において重要な位置を占めている家族についての事実も知らされるのである。

The local area distribution and relocation of radioactive cesium deposited in trees after the 2011 tsunami-related accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FDNPP) have been studied by measuring the spatial distribution of cesium on/in trees by autoradiography analysis. Samples of trees were collected from places located between 4 and 55 km from FDNPP approximately 2, 8, 20, and 22 months after the accident. The autoradiography analyses of Cryptomeria japonica, Torreya nucifera, and Thujopsis dolabrata var. hondae samples collected approximately 2 and 8 months after the accident showed that radioactive Cs was mainly distributed as spots on the branches and leaves of the trees emerged before the accident, and was detected in negligible amounts in new branch and leaves that emerged after the accident. On the contrary, radioactive Cs was detected at the outermost tip of the branches in the trees collected 20 months after the accident. Morus alba samples collected 22 months after the accident contained radioactive Cs inside and outside their stems, even though no radioactive Cs was detected in their roots, strongly suggesting that a certain amount of radioactive Cs was translocated from the outside to the inside of stems. These results indicate that the distribution of radioactive Cs deposited on/in the trees gradually changes with time (scale: year).

本稿は、近年の家族研究において注目されている構築主義的研究の動向を紹介することを目的とする。ここで構築主義的研究とは、以下で述べる意味で「構築主義的」な理論枠組みを採用していると考えられる研究を指す。関連する研究動向の紹介としては、拙稿 (田渕, 1996, 1998) のほかに、構築主義的家族研究を代表する研究であるGubrium and Holstein (1990) の訳書「あとがき」に訳者等による紹介があり、宮坂 (1999) や土屋 (1999) も関連する実証研究の動向を整理している。本稿は研究動向の紹介を網羅的に行う紙幅を欠くため、紹介はこれら先行研究に挙げられている文献と重複しないものを優先していることをお断りしておきたい。

Central Japan has been tectonically situated at a triple juncture among Izu-Bonin, Northeast Japan, and Southwest Japan Arcs. Neotectonics of central Japan is geohistorically reexamined with the special reference to the results of ODP Leg126 transect of Izu-Bonin Arc. Three major points are claimed as follows:(1) The tectonic belt along eastern margin of Japan Sea (EMJS) is characterized by severe compressional deformation including thrusts and folds have developed within the Miocene rifted trough, Uetsu sedimentary basin, by a tectonic reversal which occurred at the end of Miocene around 6 Ma. Since then, the belt have behaved as a newly formed plate boundary between Eurasia and North America Plates.(2) During the period of 2.8-1.4 Ma, a bimodal volcanism occurred at the both flanks of the southern Hida Mountain Range. Area of such explosive acidic volcanism was bounded by a rift-like depression zone called “Omine Rift” was formed along the north-central segment of Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line. This means that backarc rifting of Izu-Bonin arc forced the above colliding boundary between Northeast Japan and Southwest Japan to expand.(3) As for plate tectonic frame-work in central Japan, two possibilities are pointed out based on contemporal changes throughout central Japan.a) An eastward motion of Southwest Japan (EUR) has started at about 6 Ma, which immediately caused the jump of plate boundary from central Hakkaido to the EMJS following the tectonic reversal in the inner Northeast Japan arc.b) Philippine Sea plate has changed the direction of its movement from North-northeast to West-southwest around 3.5 Ma, which activated the backarc rifting of Izu-Bonin arc.
