[抄録]Oscar Wilde の“The Happy Prince”(1888)は今なお読み継がれる名作童話でありながら、同性愛を称揚する物語とも解釈されてきた。しかし本論は、王子のジェンダーの揺らぎや両性具有性に注目し、「有用性(usefulness)」という概念に縛られていたつばめが王子との出会いによりその価値観を揺るがされ、同性・異性の枠組みを超えたより深い純粋な愛に身を投じる物語として本作品を捉える。本論では男性性と女性性を明確に区分しようとした19 紀末英国において、因襲的な「男性らしさ」と「女性らしさ」のジェンダーの境界を侵犯することで、固定化された性の在り方に異を唱え、異性愛/同性愛という区別や階層関係を否定する新たな愛の形をワイルドが模索していたことについて考察する。

We report the first mermithid nematode found to be parasitic in a marine tanaidacean crustacean. Ten host tanaidaceans were collected from 52 m depth in Otsuchi Bay, Iwate, Japan, northwestern Pacific, and identified as a species in the tanaidid genus Zeuxo Templeton, 1840. Nematodes occurred in the host’s body cavity; in one case, at least two individuals inhabited a single host. We provide a brief description and illustrations of the morphology of the nematode. In a phylogenetic reconstruction based on the 18S rRNA gene, the nematode nested in a clade otherwise containing mermithids from terrestrial or freshwater hosts, showing an expansion in host utilization in Mermithidae Braun, 1883 from terrestrial/freshwater hosts to a marine organism.

A phenomenon that passengers are getting sleepy is often found in running cars or trains. If a mechanism can reproduce this phenomenon, it is feasible to put insomnia patients or infants to sleep without any harmful effects. This will bring extreme benefit for insomnia patients or parents of babies. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the sleep-inducing factors of running cars or trains, and the final goal is to develop a machine which reproduces the environment to put people to sleep. For the first step of this study, we investigated the relationship between sleepiness and vibrations on several trains. The sleepability of each train is discussed by the ratio of sleeping passengers. According to the vibration analyses, the results suggest that comfortable vibration for sleep has mainly low-frequency (2 Hz) vibration with particular fluctuation. In addition, it is also guessed that low level jerks contribute the sleepability.

A paleontological restoration of the early diverging pinniped, enaliarctine gen. et sp. undet., which was described and identified by Kohno et al. (2021), was presented as a 3D model. The form was reconstructed based on MFM18009 (complete skull, distal half of the left mandible, the atlas, distal half of the left humerus, proximal half of the left ulna, the third metacarpus, thoracic vertebrae and ribs) and restored by the last author’s scientific comments.

高分子溶液の粘度は,高分子の分子量や濃度,および鎖の剛直性に強く依存することが知られている.本報では,5種類の剛直性の異なる高分子溶液に対する広い分子量・濃度範囲にわたるゼロずり粘度を,みみず鎖円筒およびファジー円筒モデルに基づいて定式化された粘度式と比較した.この粘度式には,ファジー円筒の縦方向の並進拡散を支配する臨界空孔サイズを特徴づけるパラメータと分子間流体力学的相互作用の強さを表すパラメータが分子論的に決められない調節パラメータとして含まれている.前者については高分子溶液の種類や分子量によらない一定値を,また後者には溶液の種類と高分子の分子量ごとに適当な値を代入すると,粘度式は調べた5種類の高分子溶液系とも広い分子量・濃度範囲にわたって実験結果とよく一致した.

The aim of this paper is to adopt the cultural approach to mathematics curriculum, referring to "Mathematical Enculturation" written by A. J. Bishop. He has described three components of the curriculum, which labeled the symbolic, societal, and cultural components. Those have two complementary values. He presents a curriculum structure which allows 'rationalism' to be stressed more than 'objectism', where 'progress' can be emphasised more than 'control' and where 'openness' can be more significant than 'mystery'. The societal and cultural component are necessary to adopt exemplifying to historical development of knowledge, which offer an individualising aspect of teaching. On the otherhand, the symbolic component generates concepts of mathematics through activities. I interpreted the significant on the cultural approach from a Vygotskian perspective in the following way. The symbolic component generates mainly an intermental category, and then the societal and cultural components generate an intramental category. Finally, I suggested as the cultural approach to the mathematics curriculum an alternative to the 'technique' curriculum.
