Echo planar imaging (EPI) is highly sensitive to static magnetic field inhomogeneities. The degree of local image compression and stretching is a function of the static field gradient in the phase-encoding direction. This is caused by the accumulation of a phase shift. Any static field shift will lead to a position shift in the image, and it is the regions with large static fields that are the most difficult to correct. We reduce image distortion by SENSE with an array coil. However, we often use a surface coil because we cannot use an array coil in clinical studies. In this case, image distortion becomes greater, and reduction of distortion is very important. For the purpose of this study, we examined the relation between imaging parameters and image distortion. Image distortion of EPI is unrelated to the following parameters: number of phase encodings, half scan, echo time, and diffusion b-value. However, the following parameters influenced image distortion: FOV, number of frequency encodings, rectangle FOV, and multi-shot imaging. Image distortion of EPI is decided by the area of the phase-encoding gradient and the interval of readout gradients. We hope that many institutions will find these data useful.

命題論理式の充足可能性判定(SAT)問題を解くプログラムであるSATソルバーは,2000年以降その性能面において飛躍的に進化した.それに伴い,解きたい問題をSAT符号化によりSAT問題へと変換し,SATソルバーを用いて解くSAT型システムが,プランニング,ソフトウェア・ハードウェア検証,スケジューリング問題など様々な分野で成功を収めるようになった.本稿では,まずSATソルバーの最新動向として,性能面と機能面における進化をその要因の1つであるSATソルバーの国際競技会の視点から説明を行う.次に SAT ソルバーの利用技術の視点から,SAT ソルバーの機能面の進化と符号化技術を組み合わせることで,複雑な問題を解くことが可能になることの説明を行う.そのような例として多目的最適化問題のパレート解をSATソルバーを利用して求める方法を説明する.

The growing interest in artificial proteins modified by synthetic functional units has fueled the demand for their facile preparation. Native chemical ligation (NCL) enables the chemoselective condensation of peptide thioesters with a cysteine-installed synthetic partner and has enjoyed great success in the production of artificial proteins with up to 100–150 residues. A practical method for converting expressed proteins to the corresponding thioesters should lead to significant progress in the NCL-mediated technology. This account describes our recent contributions to the conversion of naturally occurring peptides to the corresponding thioesters by chemical or chemoenzymatic protocols aiming at their future prevalent use in the preparation of sophisticated protein biologics.

【目的】病院看護師における仕事の資源・個人資源とワーク・エンゲイジメントとの関連を明らかにする.【方法】3病院の看護師1,014名に無記名自記式質問紙調査を実施した.【結果】ワーク・エンゲイジメントを従属変数とした重回帰分析の結果,経験年数1~3年,4~9年,10年以上の3群において楽観性が,1~3年は看護管理者の力量・リーダーシップが,4~9年は雇用形態,勤務形態が,10年以上は勤務形態,ケアの質を支える看護の基盤,看護師と医師との良好な関係,水平型ソーシャル・キャピタルが有意に関連していた. 【考察】「将来を前向きにとらえる」楽観性は,看護師の重要な個人資源であることが示された.また,1~3年は看護管理者のリーダーシップが,10年以上は教育・研修プログラムが組まれていること,医師との建設的な協働関係や相互の信頼があること,職場のスタッフが互いに認め合い,容易に意思疎通が図れることが仕事の資源として重要であった.4~9年の看護師のワーク・エンゲイジメントに関連する仕事の資源が明らかにならず,今後検討していく必要がある.

ネットワーク変数を含む社会変数(の推移)と遺伝子変数の関連を分析する。匿名の調査協力者さんたちから採集した遺伝子試料の解析結果とその方々に回答いただいたスマホアンケートの結果との 相関分析をはじめとする統計解析をおこなう。オキシトシン受容体OXTR遺伝子の一塩基多型の一つ「rs53576」のタイプの解析をまずは目指した。SNP「rs53576」のタイプは、AAホモ、AGヘテロ、GGホモ、の三類型存在する。AAホモのヒトほど、Twitterを、する。などといった、興味深い相関が見いだされた。

デジタル技術の登場によって誰でも簡単に録音ができるようになった。しかし音楽の録音を適切におこなうためには,ある程度の知識が必要である。本稿では,音楽を録音する際に必要なマイクロフォンの基本的な原理や扱い方などを紹介しながら,音楽を録音する場合に注意するべき点について説明する。

Persistent firing is believed to support short-term (up to tens of seconds) information retention in the brain. Although recurrent synaptic excitation is widely known to support persistent firing, recent studies have established that neurons can support persistent firing through an intrinsic mechanism within individual cells. This intrinsic mechanism involves activations of cholinergic receptors and the calcium activated non-selective cationic (CAN) current, and is observed in multiple brain areas including the hippocampus. Computer simulations from my group indicate that this mechanism is crucial for persistent firing in vivo, and it underlies the transition of hippocampal activity between encoding and consolidation stages.

UNLIMITED SPACEは2次元のタイポグラフィと3次元でキャプチャされた人体動作、そして大規模オンラインデータを統合したインタラクティブインスタレーション作品である。展示空間に足を踏み入れると、人気の検索ワードから抽出された単語が人体形状に沿って動的に配置され、その様が壁面に投影される。インターネットサービスは我々消費者のニーズを満たすために膨大な量のデータを処理し続けているが、我々が日々の暮らしの中でその存在を意識することは稀である。普段我々が商品やサービスを検索する際、それらの検索クエリがいかにダイナミックにシステムの内部で処理されているかを想像することは難しい。本作品の目的は実世界の消費者と手に取る事の出来ないデータの世界を繋ぐ事である。UNLIMITED SPACEでは、鑑賞者の鏡像をデータで再構成することにより日々の生活がデータに還元されていることを示唆し、消費者とデータの世界が成す無限の広がりを表現した。来場者は自由に展示空間を動き回り、自身の動作と我々のオリジナルフォントで表現されたデータの世界が相互作用する様を体験することが出来る。
