Some 400 tons of platinum group metals (PGM) are yearly produced and used mainly for auto-catalyst, jewelries and electric appliances. The annual growth rate is currently more than 4%. Main resources for PGM exist predominantly in South Africa, Russia and North America, showing that they co-exist with Ni-Cu sulphide in the range of 5-10 ppm in their ores.<BR>Meanwhile, technological developments for fuel cells are being promoted, in which PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) should be used for vehicles and stationary power. The PEMFC needs platinum as a catalyst due to the lower reaction temperature. The imbalance between supply and demand of Pt should become one of critical paths for the PEMFC promotion, if Japanese Government target is realized.<BR>This paper describes the forecast of supply & demand of Platinum based on various researches and investigations, and self-constructed model. Supply of platinum will be short in 2030's on schedule of the Japanese Government's scenario. Political countermeasure should be applied together with resources developments in order to secure the Pt resource.

This article is composed of three parts. In the 1st part, the writer has given a new translation of Citak Handarz i Poryotkesan. A new translation may be justified for ex. in §33 (cf. p. 15, n. 36), §54 (cf. p. 16, n. 47) and the beginning of §32: be pat han i χves hukunisnih “if not through his own good deeds” which should be taken as the last constituent of §31. In the 2nd part, the writer points out a morphologic relation between the early Achaemenian inscriptions and documents on the one hand, and the Andarz-literature on the other: in other words, Dar. Naqs-i-Rostam inscriptions as well as Xenophon's Cyropaedeia VIII 7, 1-28 are nothing but a sort of combination of historiography and andarz. It is interesting to note that parallelisms can be found between Dar. NRa 11. 56-58: martiya hya Auramazdaha framana hauv-taiy gasta ma θadaya and Citak Handarz i Poryotkesan §20: apak hamak vehan pat dat-χup-sandakih estatan “With all the good people one must stand in the situation that the Law seems (sandakih<sand-“videri”) agreeable (to himself)”. The 3rd and last part is a short survey of the Andarz-literature, leaving behind the problem of what development in thought and spirit this genre of literature has ever made.

症例は64歳男性.54歳時に2型糖尿病と診断されボグリボース開始となったが10年後に血糖コントロール不良のため糖尿病教育入院となりインスリン強化療法を施行した.抗GAD抗体陰性,尿中C-peptide(CPR)は保たれており2相性インスリンアナログ製剤朝夕2回注射にて退院し良好な血糖コントロールが維持できた.ところが退院後3ヶ月の定期診察日に受診し,帰宅後夕食前血糖が突然562 mg/dlに上昇した.血糖急上昇後1ヶ月の血中CPR 0.10 ng/ml以下,4ヶ月の1日尿中CPR 0.95 μg以下であった.抗GAD抗体陰性であったが,好酸球増多,インスリン抗体陽性を認めた.高血糖が続き再度インスリン強化療法に変更したが血糖コントロールは難渋した.本例は2型糖尿病でインスリン導入後良好な経過中,血糖値上昇の日をとらえられた程の突然のコントロール悪化を認め,インスリン分泌能枯渇をきたした症例と考えられたので病態を考察し報告する.

Paleozoic jadeitite–bearing serpentinite–matrix mélange represents the oldest mantle wedge record of a Pacific–type subduction zone of proto–Japan. Most jadeitites are fluid precipitates (P–type), but some jadeitites are metasomatic replacement (R–type) which preserve relict minerals and protolith textures. The beauty and preciousness of some gem–quality, semi–translucent varieties of jadeitites in the Itoigawa–Omi area led to the designation of jadeitite as the national stone of Japan by the Japan Association of Mineralogical Sciences. Zircon geochronology indicates jadeitite formed prior to Late Paleozoic Renge metamorphism that formed blueschist and rare eclogite. For example, in the Itoigawa–Omi and Osayama localities, older jadeitites and younger high–pressure/ low–temperature metamorphic rocks in a single mélange complex imply different histories for the subduction channel and jadeite–bearing serpentinite–matrix mélange. This suggests that the jadeitite–hosted mélange (or serpentinized peridotite) can stay within the mantle wedge for a considerable time; thus recrystallization, resorption, and re–precipitation of jadeitite can continue in the mantle wedge environment. Therefore, studies of Paleozoic jadeitites in Japan have great potential to elucidate the earliest stages of orogenic growth (oceanward–accretion and landward–erosion) associated with the subduction of the paleo–Pacific oceanic plates, and to test geophysical observations of modern analogues from a mixture of fossilized mantle wedges and subduction channels.

In FA industry, recently, it has been getting more and more difficult for system integrators to check all collision cases among robots and peripherals before the operation. It is because that robotic production system gets more complex and intelligent, therefore, robots sometimes move on the defferent trajectories and timing in each bin picking motion or recovery sequence from irregular state. A new on-line collision check method for robots is proposed by using each approach speed among the collision check models. We show the algorithm of this method and confirm the effect of it by simulation.
