個人間のコミュニケーションは,同時的に展開される記号化と解読の連鎖によって成立する.その過程には多様な心理・社会的な要因が作用しており,社会心理学の立場からみて多くの重要な課題が含まれている.コミュニケーション行為は社会的規範や文化的事実を反映した心的メッセージを伝えるものである.言語的・非言語的コミュニケーション研究は身体部位に由来するチャネルとしての用法の理解から相互の関連性を理解する機能的統合へと進展してきた.また,間接的,限定的なコミュニケーションの登場によって,十分な社会性を獲得できず,責任性の希薄な関係となる可能性が高くなってきている.したがって,周到なコミュニケーション研究を通じて,高度に親密な関係を築くための努力が必要である.いくつもの非言語的チャネルで同調傾向の存在が確認されていることは,「社会性」を考える上で重要な構造的,要素的アプローチの是非を問う議論をさらに喚起するものである.対人的コミュニケーションは,元来個別の行為が加算されるのではなく,自ずと高度に統合された全体性を持つと考えられる.

Making the center of the refractory migraine is chronic migraine (CM) and medication overuse headache.CM is a disabling neurological condition affecting 0.5–2% of the population.In the current third edition of the International Classification of Headache Disorders, medication overuse is no longer an exclusion criterion and CM is diagnosed in patients suffering from at least 15 headache days per month of which at least eight are related to migraine.CM is difficult to treat, and preventive treatment options are limited.

我々の身近に存在する「マンガ」を秋田大学生がどのように読んでいるのかをアンケート調査した。その結果,男子学生はほとんど少女マンガを読まないが,女子学生のほとんどが少年マンガを読んでいることが判明した。すなわちマンガ文化の接し方にジェンエンダーが存在することが判明した。その要因を考察するとともに,男子学生・女子学生それぞれに好かれているマンガの特徴色作品を解析することによって明らかにした。本報告は,秋田大学教養基礎教育科目「総合ゼミ」の講座EI文化にみられる性」において,平成22年度I期の授業で展開された成果報告でもある。

In this article, I have selected and will comment on three topics from the papers in this special issue: power analysis, Bayesian hypothesis testing, and Bayesian statistical modeling. The major problem in power analysis is the quantitative evaluation of effect size, and this problem is shared in the estimation of effect size. Bayesian hypothesis testing is theoretically superior to classical null hypothesis testing. However, setting prior distributions properly continues to be difficult to overcome. Bayesian statistical modeling changes the role of statistics in psychological research and is promising in many aspects. However, the ease of computation can mask the necessity of careful thinking in modeling, which includes setting prior distributions. I also will discuss future statistics education in the era of rapid developments in methodology, as documented in this special issue.

Following recent developments in information and communication technology (ICT), various research and development projects are ongoing around the world to propose new train control technology for safer and more stable transportation services. In particular, 5th generation mobile communication network systems (5G) which will be partially available in 2019 are expected to be used for critical roles in various safety related systems in the future, such as for automatic driving systems for road vehicles and train control systems. This paper outlines recent trends in basic studies for utilizing various communication network techniques including content centric network techniques and 5G systems to sophisticate signalling systems and train control systems. This paper also introduces a future plan for the challenges of the developing autonomous train operation and control system to realize safer, more stable and low-cost train operation services.

Academic writing has been traditionally viewed as impersonal, but recent corpus-based research has revealed that writers of research articles (RAs) in both scientific and social sciences use first-person pronouns in their RAs for constructing authorial identity. This research focuses on the use of first-person pronouns, powerful linguistic resources to convey an author's voice. Using two corpora consisting of 21 RAs each by Japanese and native English TESOL researchers, we investigate how first-person pronouns are used to represent the authors in text. We also explore the factors that characterize the Japanese writers' use of first-person pronouns by referring to the results of a survey conducted on 70 Japanese EFL teachers inquiring about the practice and perception of first-person pronoun use in RAs. The results indicate that the Japanese researchers use first-person pronouns less frequently in their RAs. The further analysis suggests that the low frequency of first-person pronouns may not be caused just by the researchers' view of academic writing but that different factors such as consideration for the conventions practiced in the discourse community or research methods adopted may be related to the choice of first-person pronouns in RAs.

This article introduces three letters of Sata Ineko addressed to Narasaki Tsutomu. Narasaki Tsutomu (1901-1978)was an editor of the literary magazine Shincho in 1926-1945,and Sata Ineko(1904-1998) was a female writer known for her masterpiece KURENAI. Through the investigation of these letters, some of the new facts on Sata Ineko's and Narasaki Tsutomu's biographies were made clear.

緊張性の瞳孔反応障害と腱反射消失からなつている。瞳孔は対光および幅輳に対し反応がおそく,光を当てると徐々に収縮し,暗室におくとき,ゆつくりと散瞳する。輻輳でも同様である。そのため一見して瞳孔反応が消失してみえることもある。瞳孔障害は両側性にもくるが,多くは一側性で,障害側の瞳孔が健側より大きいことが多い。すなわちArgyll Robertson徴候にみるような縮瞳はあまりみられない。しかも瞳孔は正円形を呈さず卵円形,楕円形をなす。 腱反射の消失は上肢よりは下肢において目立ち,Adie症候群の約2/3はこのような完全な形とされているが,1/3は腱反射消失を伴わない不完全な型である。

近年,人工知能研究において,人狼ゲームが注目されている.本研究では,今後の人工知能大会における5人人狼のレギュレーションにおいて,あらゆる戦略に対して優位となるような戦略が発見されるかを調べるため,戦略進化のシミュレーション手法を提案する.シミュレーションの結果,常に優位となる戦略は発見されず,戦略は周期的に変化し続けるようになることが明らかとなった.
