電子情報資源の増大は図書館員の業務を一変させた。その反面, 紙媒体の情報資源管理を目的とした総合図書館システム(Integrated Library System, ILS)を利用して, 基幹の受け入れ業務を行っている図書館がまだまだ主流をしめている。紙媒体の情報資源と電子情報資源とは性格の異なる部分が多く, 今や電子情報資源管理を支援する適切なツールの不在は明らかである。本稿では, 電子情報資源管理システム(ERMS)の現状とその機能について, 主に北米の大学図書館における取り組みを紹介していく。

【目的】健常者における静的立位での外反母趾角と後足部アライメントの関連性を明らかとすることである。【方法】対象は健常大学生178名(男性107名,女性71名,年齢22±3歳,身長167.5±8.1cm,体重60.0±9.2kg,BMI21.3±2.4)である。評価項目は,第一趾側角,第五趾側角,足底接地率,足部アーチ高率,Leg-Heel-Angle(以下,LHA),Floor-Heel-Angle(以下,FHA)である。統計学的処理は,第一趾側角を従属変数とし,第五趾側角,足底接地率,足部アーチ高率,LHA,FHA,BMIを独立変数とした重回帰分析を行った。【結果】足部アーチ高率(β=-0.25,p<0.05)と内反小趾角(β=-0.16,p<0.05)が選択された(R2=0.11,p<0.05)。【結語】足部アーチ高率は外反母趾の原因としての報告があり,それを支持するものとなった。また,足趾の変形は足部の内外側どちらに荷重が集中しているかで異なると考えられる。しかしそのR2は0.11と低く,外反母趾角に影響を与える因子はこの他にもあるものと考えられる。

1) 人事院標準生計費の食料費マーケットバスケットを一部修正し, 18歳程度男子 (東京) の1ヵ月の食料費を求めたところ, 24,362円であった.<BR>2) これを標準家族の消費単位 (女子栄養大学算定) で処理すれば, 24,362円× (4.63/1.34) =84,176円となる.<BR>3) これに加算すべき, 酒類, 飲料, 菓子の世帯合計が9,914円であるから, 合計94,090円が得られる.<BR>4) 第二子昼食の給食分を22食として, それを1) で得られた24,362円をもとに {24,362円× (1.36/1.34)} × {22/ (30.4×3)} =5,965円と推定し, 3) からさし引けば, 標準世帯の1か月の食料費88,125円が出される.

IgA血管炎は,小児に好発する血管炎で川崎病に次いで多く,紫斑,腹痛,関節痛,糸球体腎炎を特徴とし,自然治癒が多く重症例は少ない.私たちはステロイド薬で症状は改善したが,ステロイド薬の減量中に突然の消化管出血を来たしショックに陥った一男児例を経験した.8 歳男児.紫斑と腹痛で来院し,IgA血管炎の診断で入院加療となった.ステロイド薬で症状は改善したが,ステロイド薬の漸減中に突然の腹痛,大量の血性下痢,顔色不良,末梢冷感,頻脈,さらに紫斑の再燃を認めた.腹部超音波検査と腹部造影CT検査で小腸から上行結腸にかけての腸管壁の肥厚と腹水の貯留を認めたが,出血源の特定は困難だった.ショックに大量輸液,濃厚赤血球輸血を速やかに行い循環動態は安定した.血管炎にステロイド薬の増量と第XIII因子の投与を行い,翌日以降の再出血はなかった.血液濃縮所見と腸管の浮腫や腹水より,ショックの原因は血管炎に伴う消化管出血と血管透過性亢進による血管内脱水の双方が推定された.消化器症状の改善とともに腹部超音波検査所見も改善した.ショックに至る例は成人を含め報告例は少ないが,本症例と同様にステロイド薬で症状が軽快した後にショック状態を呈した例がみられた.IgA血管炎は,ステロイド薬の減量中に消化管出血をきたすことがあり,身体所見,血液検査所見だけでなく,腹部超音波検査所見を定期的に観察することが重要であろう.

S県A市とS県立大学が取り組む共同事業に参加した地区スタッフが事業から得ているものを分析し,今後の支援について検討することを目的に自記式質問紙調査を行った。その結果「プログラム内容の満足感」は高いが「教室運営の満足感」は低いことや,【高齢者への認識の変化】【自らが感じたプラスの効果】【介護予防への関心の高まり】【活動継続に対する意欲】の4カテゴリーの抽出から,個人のエンパワメント効果が明らかになった。1年間の事業は住民が介護予防に取り組むきっかけとしての役割を果たしており、今後も住民のパートナーとしての継続した関わりが必要と考えられた。

The configuration of soccer balls has closely approached a perfect round shape by not only reducing a number of panels but also by eliminating roughness of the panel joints by thermal bonding process recently. Therefore, in a non-rotating or low-rotating moving shot, a soccer ball drops and curves by the change of wake flow, which is called a knuckle ball effect. It is said that the cause of the swerving ball on no rotating shoot of the soccer ball depends on the outbreak of the vortex occurred in the wake. However, it is not grasped the timing among the vortex outbreak and the swerving of balls. In this study, the velocity fluctuation of the ball wake was measured with hot wire probe and the oscillation of the ball was measured with three components load cell. And also the asymmetric configuration of the ball panel against moving direction was investigated as a factor to bring unexpected change of the ball orbit. The results show that the position change of the tail of vortex ring affects the swerving of the balls and that the low-rotating ball changes its face against the moving direction and it produces irregular lateral force.

This paper is an attempt to cast light on an idea shared by F. H. Bradley and Bertrand Russell even after the latter revolted against the former's monistic idealism. I argue that both accepted, at least when the latter completed A Critical Exposition of the Philosophy of Leibniz, the idea that every judgment has a state of affairs as its content, where a state of affairs is understood as part of the universe that can be described by a declarative sentence. First, I attempt to show that Russell's tacit acceptance of the idea underlies his claim, developed in the commentary on Leibniz, that if every judgment comprises a subject and a predicate, there can be at most one substance. I then turn to Bradley's thought, arguing that the idea is an immediate consequence of the central tenet of his theory of judgment: every judgment ascribes a universal to reality. 近年Bell麻痺に対してはStennert法が普及し, Hunt症候群には抗ウイルス剤 (アシクロビル) とStennert法の併用療法が試みられ, 良好な治療成績が得られている。我々は臨床的にBel1麻痺と診断される症例 (Huntの一部を含む) に対してもHunt症候群と同様にアシクロビルとStennert法とを併用しているので報告した。本治療の目的は臨床的Bell麻痺の中に含まれるHunt不全型の治療と, 病初期に帯状疱疹を認めないHunt典型例の重症化の予防, VZV以外のウイルスが関与するBell麻痺症例の治療が目的である。結果は25例中治療開始が遅れた1例を除き他は全例完治した。

Selenocysteine (Sec) is the 21st amino acid that is incorporated into proteins translationally. The selenocysteine tRNA (tRNASec) is first ligated with serine by seryl-tRNA synthetase, and the Ser moiety is converted to Sec in a tRNA-dependent manner. In Bacteria, the selenocysteine synthase SelA converts Ser to Sec directly, whereas in Eukaryotes and Archaea, phosphorylation of the Ser moiety is required prior to the Sec conversion. In this review, we describe the crystal structures of SelA, bacterial tRNASec, and the SelA•tRNASec complex. Based on the crystal structures and mutational analyses, the substrate discrimination and reaction mechanisms are discussed.
