In the fall of 1999-2001, hatchery-reared masu salmon <I>Oncorhynchus masou</I> juveniles were stocked in southwestern Hokkaido rivers. Catches of these fish in coastal commercial fisheries were estimated by sampling landings during 2001-2003. Recovery rate estimates ranged between 0.67 and 0.84% (mean of 0.75%), approximately 1.8 times and 0.36 times those reported previously for fry and smolts, respectively.

With the development of medical treatment in recent years, the incidence of stroke associated with carotid stenosis has continued to decrease. Treatment for carotid artery stenosis is intended to reduce the risk of thrombotic events and atherosclerotic changes to prevent future cardiovascular events. Antiplatelet therapy is routinely used for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke and is effective for the prevention of microembolism from the rupture or erosion of a carotid plaque. It is common to perform dual antiplatelet therapy in the acute to subacute stages of ischemic stroke. Lipid modification with statins is an essential element in the treatment of carotid artery stenosis. Statins are used to reduce the progression of carotid intima-media complex thickening and for plaque stabilization. Management of diabetes mellitus, lifestyle changes (including smoking cessation), physical activity, and weight management are also important for the prevention of carotid artery stenosis.

花火などの観賞機会が少ないものに関しては、観賞できるスポットを事前調査したいという需要が大きい。そこで本研究では、ユーザーのニーズに応じて静かな場所、子供でも観賞できる場所など、複数の花火鑑賞スポットを自動提案するシステムを開発する。提案法では、まず、実在の町や地区を模した多くの建物を3次元仮想空間内に構築する。次に、レイトレーシング法を用いて、建物に遮蔽されない鑑賞候補地点を検出する。そして、それらの候補点に対して距離や騒音の有無などの情報を付加する。ユーザーはそうした情報を確認しつつ好みの地点を選択することで、花火の見え方を3次元空間内で擬似的に確認できる。

<p>This study examined the relationship between meeting the World Health Organization's (WHO) 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years and motor skills and cognitive function in preschool children. Participants were 4-year-old boys and girls in urban and rural areas (n=69). Physical activity was measured using a triaxial accelerometer (ActiGraph GT3X). Screen time and sleep duration were assessed via self-report by guardians. Meeting the 24-h movement guidelines was defined as: 10 to 13 h/night and nap of sleep, ≤1 h/day of sedentary screen time, and at least 180 min/day more than 1.5 METs. Motor skills were evaluated by the Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Third Edition (ASQ-3). Executive functions (shifting, visual-spatial working memory and inhibition) were evaluated by the Early Years Toolbox (Japanese translation). The prevalence of children meeting all three recommendations was 7.2% and 7.2% met none of the three recommendations. Children meeting physical activity recommendation had a better inhibition score compared to children meeting none of the recommendation (p=0.005). While, children not meeting the sleep recommendation had a better inhibition score compared to children meeting of the recommendation (p=0.042). In conclusion, meeting the physical activity or sleep recommendations were positively or negatively associated with the inhibition score. On the other hand, meeting none of the sedentary behaviour and the 3 recommendations was not associated with motor skills or cognitive function.</p>

サケの雌 5 尾(4 年魚)と雄 9 尾(3 年魚の雄 3 尾,4 年魚の雄 3 尾及び 5 年魚の雄 3 尾)を用いて総当たり交配を行い,稚魚の成長に影響する要因を雄親のサイズと年齢の違いから検討した。また,稚魚の体重に関する遺伝率の推定を行った。雄親の体重と稚魚の体重に明瞭な関係は見られなかったが,5 年魚の雄親から作出した稚魚の体重は 3 年魚や 4 年魚の雄親から作出した稚魚に比べて小さい傾向にあった。遺伝率は稚魚の成長に伴い高くなっていた。これよりサケの雄親の年齢は稚魚の成長に影響する要因の一つであると考えられた。

本稿では、Maxインターフェースを採用したリアルタイム映像処理・生成、OpenGLプログラミング環境、DIPS(Digital Image Processing with Sound)のMacOS X とLinuxへの移植について報告する。現バージョンのDIPSは、jMaxソフトウェアへのプラグインとして実装された、リアルタイム画像処理オブジェクト群である。移植版では、QuickTimeテクノロジ等を用いることにより、インターネット上の資源の利用が可能になるなど、大幅に機能が強化されている。In this paper, we would like to present the new Linux and Mac OS X versions of the DIPS(Digital Image Processing with Sound); the set of Max objects that handle the real-time visual image processing events and the OpenGL functions in the jMax environment. We will describe the significant modifications and improvement of the DIPS for Linux and Mac OS X. Furthermore we include that the DIPS for Mac OS X can be utilized as an internet tool by adapting the Apple QuickTime technology.

2003~2005年の5~6月,北海道オホーツク海側東部の網走沿岸で刺網,釣り,表層曳網により魚類を採捕し,サケOncorhynchus ketaあるいはカラフトマスO.gorbuscha幼稚魚の捕食の有無を調べた。サクラマスO.masou,ソウハチHippoglossoides pinetorum,クロソイSebastes schlegelii,コマイEleginus gracilisの4種がサケあるいはカラフトマスの幼稚魚を捕食していた。Nagasawa(1998)は日本沿岸におけるサケ幼稚魚の魚類捕食者を9種記載しているが,ソウハチ,クロソイ,コマイの3種は含まれておらず,これら3種については本報告がサケあるいはカラフトマスの魚類捕食者として新たな記載となる。

本研究では国立国会図書館サーチのアクセスログに基づき,利用者の簡易検索,詳細検索,ファセット検索の利用状況を分析した。その目的は「シンプルなキーワードでざっくり検索してから,検索結果をさまざまな機能で絞り込む」というディスカバリサービスの想定利用スタイルと実態の合致状況の検証である。結果から,8割以上の利用者がまず簡易検索を用い,そのさらに約8割が1語による検索であること,簡易検索を行った利用者が検索結果を絞り込む場合,ファセット検索等の絞り込みのための機能を利用する場合が多いこと等を確認した。

各国の国立図書館を中心に,複数データベースから集約したメタデータを第三者が利活用可能な形式で公開する「プラットフォーム」化の動きがある。本稿では,先行例である欧州のEuropeanaと,日本の「プラットフォーム」の1つといえる国立国会図書館サーチのメタデータ収録状況について比較考察を行った。結果,国立国会図書館サーチは,国際的にみても大規模なデジタル文化資源へのアクセス機会を提供しているが,メタデータ形式や連携方式の標準化は進んでいないことが明らかとなった。今後は,データのライセンスを整備のうえ,参加機関との持続的な関係を構築していくことが課題となる。

近年,コンピュータを用いたクラブ系音楽のマルチメディアリアルタイムパフォーマンスがさかんである.本論文では対話型進化論的計算(Interactive EvolutionaryComputation)のシステムを用いてクラブ系ループ音楽をリアルタイムに生成,また世代の概念を用いないBreedingのメカニズムを用いて音楽時系列を構成するパフォーマンスを行うことができる手法を提案する.提案手法では遺伝子表現として遺伝的プログラミング(GeneticProgramming,GP)を採用しつつも,1つの個体から複数の表現型を実現する仕組みを備えており,対話型の個体数の少なさをカバーしつつ応用範囲が非常に広くなっている.提案手法を用いて,モバイルデバイスに溜め込んだ写真からクラブ系ループ音楽を生成するシステムのプロトタイプが実装されており,音楽的表現に応じて様々なリアルタイムマルチメディアパフォーマンスに利用することが可能であることが示された.Real-time music and multimedia performances with lap-top computers have been very animated in club scene in recent years. In this paper, I propose a new method to generate club style loop music in real-time for club performances by means of Interactive Evolutionary Computation (IEC). The methods includes two features. The one is that enjoying "Breeding" without consciousness about generation. The second is that multiple-ontogeny mechanism that generate several phenotype from one genotype, includes ideas of co-evolution and multi-objective optimization. The proposed method reduces weak points of IEC, user's burden of interactive evaluation and narrow search domain originated in handling few individuals. A performance system generates club style loop music from photo album in mobile devices has been implemented by means of the proposed method, then has been tested. The success of performances with the implemented performance system indicates that the proposed methods works effectively.
