This paper deals with the historical development of catholic child care institution in Kyusyu. In the early Meiji period, Urakami child care institutions were built in Nagasaki. After the middle Meiji period, institutions continued to be built in various district. But, in war time, priests and sisters, they were foreigners, were confined. So institutions were hard to be managed. After the War, new institutions were built for the war orphan. The institutions that were already built before the War were also reformed and expanded. Some institutions merged and some were abolished. The institutions were reorganized. The characteristics of Catholic child care institutions were self-sufficient life by working on farm. Sisters worked on farm without reward. Medical institutions had relations with other institutions. So they changed. This paper proves the roles of Catholic child care institutions in the developing of social welfare in Japan.

次世代のマルチボディ動力学解析において期待される非線形有限要素法との連成問題,つまり,剛体,柔軟体および大変形柔軟体がジョイント拘束を介して連成した多体拘束系動力学問題の効率的な数値定式化手法の開発が活発に行われている.特に,マルチボディ計算アルゴリズムにて用いられる非増分型アルゴリズムに基づく非線形有限要素法, Absolute nodal coordinate formulationがShabanaによって提案されており,大変形柔軟体を含むマルチボデイシステムの拘束系動力学解析に適用されている.しかしながら,本定式化の曲がり梁としての特性に関してはほとんど報告されていない.また,既存の3次元Absolute nodal coordinate formulation梁要素では,体積要素としてGreen-Lagrangeのひずみテンソルから弾性力を導出しているため,せん断変形および断面変形に起因したロッキングが発生する.特に,梁が初期形状において曲率を有する曲がり梁においては,ロッキングの影響が顕著となり精度の低下を招く.本論文では,図A1に示すような大変形柔軟マルチボディ解析における曲がり梁の新たな定式化手法を提案した.曲がり梁の軸曲線に沿ったひずみ成分を,基準および変形後の配置に対する変位勾配変換と基準配置にて一義的に決定するAlmansiひずみにより表すひずみ式を導出した.また,曲がり梁の回転ひずみ成分を曲率/ねじりテンソルにより定義することにより,既存の定式化にて問題となる体積要素として導出される曲げひずみ成分の精度低下を回避した.さらに,せん断ロッキングをHellinger-Reissner混合変分原理を用いて回避し,また断面変形に関してAssumed strain法を用いてメンブレンロッキングを回避して要素精度を向上させた新たな曲がり梁の定式化を示した.図A2に示す梁のロールアップ問題に対する理論解との比較および図A3に示す動的スティフニングに関するベンチマーク問題を用いた要素精度の検証から,大変形曲がり梁を有する機械構造物の工学的動力学問題に対して,提案した手法が有効であることを示した.

The motion of the sheet of paper which falls down freely, is analyzed by the method of dynamics. In the previous work, we discussed the motion of the sheet of paper which goes inside the delivery unit of printing machine and rotates around a cylinder. In those cases, no outer force was considered except the force pulling the edge of a sheet of paper. In this work, we considered the outer forces, gravity force and fluid force. Generally, the analysis of the flow around the object is very complicated, and the fluid force affecting the object is difficult to solve. So, we analyzed the fluid force by considering the flow momentum. In this work, we analyzed the case of a sheet of free falling paper. In the future work, we are going to adopt the method discussed in this work to the sheet of paper which goes inside the printing machine.

設計時におけるトンネルに作用する浮力の取り扱いは、安全側と便宜を考え、鉛直方向の水圧の差を浮力とし、トンネル上半部に鉛直荷重として入力している。しかし、トンネルの大断面化に伴い、より合理的な設定方法が必要となってきてる。そこでトンネルが剛体的に浮上するという前提においてトンネル上半の地盤反力としての土圧の増加分と、トンネル下半の土圧の減少分の和によって浮力がキャンセルされると考え、慣用計算法を応用したモデル化を試みた。この方法による地盤反力の分担比率を変えた試算結果と現場の覆工応力の計測結果を比較したところ、上半の地盤反力の増加分と、下半の土圧の減少分が同じと考えた場合に計測結果と一致した。

戦後に建設されたタイ中央平原における近代的灌漑システムの現状を末端農村レベルまで調査し、独立的といわれるタイ農民の協同的水管理行動について検討した。チャオブラヤ川流域における乾期の絶対的水不足環境の下で、政府の努力に関わらず、Water Users′Group(WUG)が十分に機能せず、とくに乾期の水配分が政府の意図通り計画的に実施できていないことを明らかにした。末端レベルでは、圃場条件に応じた水管理が行われ、用水配分は一般に上流有利になっていて、水条件のよい農民だけが3期作を実現できる。用水確保のため、必要な限りではあるが協同で水路維持事業を実施している。圃場整備実施に対しても、村としての事業参加が見られ、大半の農民が参加している。しかし道水路密度,換地方法,不賛同者地区除外の仕方などに日本との違いがあることが指摘された。補助金等の政策技術によって、WUG活動へのインセンティブを高めることが必要である。中央平原稲作地帯における大型トラクタ走行の阻害要因であるBangkok clayey soilに対する動力学的試験を行い、繰り返しねじりせん断試験における繰返し回数の増加につれて、ねじりせん断ひずみと間隙水圧が増加することを見いだした。乾燥密度と載加周波数がねじりせん断応力に及ぼす影響も明確になった。流域保全に関しては,メクロン川流域における土壌侵食および浮遊土砂流出と流域特性を解明するため、(1)流域および降雨特性、(2)タイの他諸河川との比較によるメクロン川の浮遊土砂流出特性、(3)浮遊土砂流出量推定式、(4)支流のクワイ・ヤイ川、クワイ・ノイ川およびランパチ川の浮遊土砂流出特性,の検討を行い、流域上流部に対して下流部の方が浮遊土砂のより大きな供給源になっていることを明らかにした。流域の長期的・持続的利用にとって、開発農地における土壌流亡対策の実施が重要であることを指摘した。

To evaluate the effectiveness, safety and utility of Emedastine difumarate (ED) in the treatment of Japanese cedar pollinosis, a multicentered, double-blind comparative study was performed in 290 patients in 1994.<br>Patients with Japanese cedar pollinosis were divided into two groups; the first group was treated with ED at a dose of 4mg/day starting two weeks before the season and continuing for the whole season. The second group was given an inactive placebo instead of ED during the pre-season and the early portion of the season and then replaced with ED during the later portion of the season.<br>As a result, the final improvement rate was significantly higher in the first group than that in the second group.<br>All subjective symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, nasal obstruction and eye itching were suppressed due to ED treatment.<br>In conclusion, it was better to continuously administer ED to patients with pollinosis from the preseasonal period till the end of the season.<br>However, when the ED treatment was started in the midseason, the outcome was good, although less satisfactory than the outcome of continuous treatment given throughout the entire pollen season.

This paper establishes a new formulation strategy of the flexible beam with large rotation motion. The finite element based formulation, that is previously presented for the analysis of the 'Spaghetti Problem' by authors, is extended to realize the low order and high accuracy beam model using a kind of Component Mode Synthesis Method. The deformation of the flexible beam is modeled by the combination of static mode represented by the shape function and the analytically evaluated both end clamed dynamic mode with respect to the local coordinate system. Body attached local coordinate system satisfies that x-axis of it connects both-ends of the beam. To demonstrate the efficiency and the validity of the flexible beam model in Multibody Dynamics, a 2-link flexible robot arm is modeled as the flexible multibody system consists of some rigid bodies and two flexible beams. The validity can be indicated by good agreements between the numerical simulation and the experimental results.
