Pelvic floor trauma developing into pelvic frailty is a significant concern in urogynecology or orthopedics. The majority of women who have experienced vaginal childbirth are affected, to a certain extent, by some form of pelvic floor damage, thereby eliciting substantial alterations of functional anatomy in the pelvic cavity which are manifested as urinary incontinence or pelvic organ prolapse (e.g., uterine prolapse). With the above in mind, medical researchers, continence experts, and continence exercise practitioners in the research areas of sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine believe that the coordinated activity of pelvic floor muscles, in association with the abdominal muscles, is a prerequisite for urinary and defecatory continence. Since the pelvic floor forms the base of the abdominal cavity, stronger pelvic floor muscles are crucial in maintaining such capabilities. Opposing action of the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles ensures that exercises for one may also strengthen the other. Appropriate abdominal maneuverability or logical exercise training of the abdominal muscles may thus be beneficial in maintaining not only strength but also coordination, flexibility, and endurance of pelvic floor muscles and abdominal muscles. Such exercises, collectively known as pelvic floor muscle training, may be effective for long-term pelvic cavity care and also in rehabilitating cases of pelvic floor dysfunction. Further research is needed, however, in determining whether pelvic floor muscle function can be truly enhanced or maintained by such exercises in cases of pelvic floor dysfunction and/or decreased urinary continence.

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will make the world's first solar power sail craft demonstration of photon propulsion and thin film solar power generation during its interplanetary cruise by IKAROS (Interplanetary Kite-craft Accelerated by Radiation Of the Sun). The spacecraft deploys and spans a membrane of 20 meters in diameter taking the advantage of the spin centrifugal force. The spacecraft weighs approximately 310kg, launched together with the agency's Venus Climate Orbiter, AKATSUKI in May 2010. This will be the first actual solar sail flying an interplanetary voyage.

Network Slicing (NS) is recognized as a key technology for the 5G network in providing tailored network services towards various types of verticals over a shared physical infrastructure. It offers the flexibility of on-demand provisioning of diverse services based on tenants' requirements in a dynamic environment. In this work, we focus on two important issues related to 5G Core slices: the deployment and the reconfiguration of 5G Core NSs. Firstly, for slice deployment, balancing the workloads of the underlying network is beneficial in mitigating resource fragmentation for accommodating the future unknown network slice requests. In this vein, we formulate a load-balancing oriented 5G Core NS deployment problem through an Integer Linear Program (ILP) formulation. Further, for slice reconfiguration, we propose a reactive strategy to accommodate a rejected NS request by reorganizing the already-deployed NSs. Typically, the NS deployment algorithm is reutilized with slacked physical resources to find out the congested part of the network, due to which the NS is rejected. Then, these congested physical nodes and links are reconfigured by migrating virtual network functions and virtual links, to re-balance the utilization of the whole physical network. To evaluate the performance of deployment and reconfiguration algorithms we proposed, extensive simulations have been conducted. The results show that our deployment algorithm performs better in resource balancing, hence achieves higher acceptance ratio by comparing to existing works. Moreover, our reconfiguration algorithm improves resource utilization by accommodating more NSs in a dynamic environment.

テキストや談話を理解する上で,照応表現は非常に大きな役割を果たしている.本研究では,これまであまり研究されていなかったが,高品質の自然言語理解システムを実現するためにはその処理が必要不可欠である後方照応表現を取り扱った.具体的には,日本語の表層表現を手がかりとして後方照応表現の照応詞と先行詞の抽出を行った.抽出のためのルールは,まず緩やかなパターンで後方照応表現の候補文を取り出し,それらを詳細に調べることによって作成した.テストサンプルに対する実験の結果,後方照応表現の認定は適合率47.7%,再現率94.2%,先行詞の正解率は71.2%であった.

本研究ではスマート端末からのユーザの状況情報(位置情報,心拍情報,歩行数)がある条件を満たした場合,小型冷蔵庫に飲料があるかどうかを確認し,ある場合は自動的にスイッチが入りユーザに知らせるIoTシステム“KADEN”を提案する.“KADEN”はスマートウォッチとスマートフォンのセンサにより各種状況情報を取得する.また小型冷蔵庫に飲み物があるかどうかもセンサにより自動的に検出できる.各種センサを用いて自動的に冷蔵庫を制御する場合と手動で制御する実験を行った.実験を行った結果以下のことが分かった.(1)システム全体の評価では状況情報を用いて自動的に小型冷蔵庫を制御する場合と手動で制御する場合では有意差はなかった.(2)状況情報で必要と思われるのは位置情報,歩行数,心拍情報の順である.(3)スマートウォッチのユーザビリティの評価は高かった.(4)飲み物があるかどうかが自動的に分かることの評価が必要性と便利さの面で高かった.

【目的】地域の若年期からの循環器病予防をめざして,乳児の父母の推定1日尿中食塩排泄量(以下,食塩排泄量)および尿中Na/K比を評価し,食習慣との関連を明らかにすること。【方法】2015年10月から1年間の,京都府内3市町の全ての乳児前期健診対象児393人の父369人,母386人,計755人を対象とした。早朝第1尿から食塩排泄量と尿中Na/K比を算出した。自記式食習慣調査は食物摂取頻度と減塩意識の13項目で,これらと食塩排泄量および尿中Na/K比との関連について,単変量解析と多変量解析を行った。解析対象は,父166人(年齢中央値34.0),母200人(同32.0),計366人(解析率48.5%)であった。【結果】食塩排泄量(g/日)(中央値)は父10.2,母9.9,尿中Na/K比(mEq比)(中央値)は父4.0,母3.9であった。多変量解析の結果,食塩排泄量と食物摂取頻度については有意な関連がなく,減塩意識ありとの関連は父のオッズ比0.83(95%信頼区間0.44~1.60),母のオッズ比0.55(0.28~1.09)であった。尿中Na/K比と食物摂取頻度については母において有意な関連は認めなかった。父において果物摂取と有意な正の関連を認めたが,その解釈は困難であった。【結論】乳児の父母の食塩排泄量と尿中Na/K比を評価し,これらと食物摂取頻度や減塩意識に有意な関連を認めなかった。

【目的】新型コロナウイルス感染症緊急事態宣言による学校休業を含む学校給食の実施有無と簡易給食の実施状況および簡易給食の提供内容の実態を把握する。【方法】全国の公立小学校および中学校から無作為抽出した479校を対象とした。2020年4~10月の学校給食実施状況を日ごとに回答,簡易給食期間の献立の提出を依頼した。【結果】解析対象校は205校であった(適格率42.8%)。簡易給食を1日以上実施していた学校は55校であった(実施率26.8%)。給食実施なし日数,簡易給食実施日数の中央値(25, 75パーセンタイル値)は各々50(43, 56)日,10(5, 16)日であった。緊急事態宣言の期間が長い地域で,給食実施なし日数が多かったが,簡易給食実施日数に差はみられなかった。解析対象献立は,延べ871日分であった。簡易給食実施初期の献立では調理された料理数が少なく,デザートなどの調理や配膳の不要な単品数が多く,主菜,副菜の出現頻度が低かった。【結論】新型コロナ感染拡大による学校給食の実施中断や簡易給食の実施により,子どもの食事状況に影響があった可能性が示唆された。簡易給食実施初期の献立では単品の提供が多く,簡易給食実施後期の献立では,主食・主菜・副菜を組み合わせた献立が提供されていた。
