Recently the downsizing and the weight saving of mechanical structures asked for springs lighter, and the light metal alloys are paid attention to as spring materials. Magnesium is the lightest in the practical metals, and it is excellent in the damping capacity. But the tensile strength and the proof stress of the pure magnesium is much lower than the ones for other spring materials. Hence, it is necessary to improve its strength by alloying, hardning, heat treatment, and by other processes. The workabilities of magnesium alloy springs had not been studied, too. Therefore the authors studied the mechanical properties of magnesium alloy AZ31 and made coil springs from wires of a magnesium alloy AZ31 by a lathe type coiling machines. The workabilities of coils were studied. The effects of annealing on the dimensions of the coils and on the spring property were also studied. The main results are as follows;(1) Magnesium alloy wire AZ31 is much inferior to other spring wires, but not much inferior in specific strength because of small specific gravity.(2) It was possible to form coil of about 5.0 in spring index from wires of a magnesium alloy AZ31 by a lathe type coiling machines, so wires of a magnesium alloy AZ31 fill the workabilities as spring wires.(3) In magnesium alloy wire AZ31 the spring back of coil diameter is large compared with other spring steel wires.(4) By annealing the outside diameter increases but the free length hardly changes.(5) When the annealing temperature is over 180(°C), the elastic limit of coiled springs deteriorates.

This report aims to illustrate how Japanese architects extrapolated a design theme from roof garden model through analyzing text and actual composition of contemporary Japanese houses with such model as it appeared in architectural publications. Initially, two aspects of the roof garden concept were extracted from explanatory text by architect themselves, and each scheme was then subjected to a “KJ-method” analysis (originated by KAWAKITA Jiro); one is the architect's intention in adopting roof garden, the other is the architect's distinct view of the spatial character on roof garden. Secondly, the actual composition of each house was assessed with regard to vertical and horizontal positioning of the roof garden. Finally, the mediation between each architect's thinking and the final composition has been plotted in terms of this dual classification.

【目的】日本バプテスト病院ホスピス病棟において,チャプレンの司会により行っている「お別れ会」の実際を報告し,お別れ会に対する遺族の感想を記述する.【方法】遺族84名に対して,お別れ会の感想を質問紙票にて調査し,自由記述の内容分析を行った.【結果】回答者40名のうち,お別れ会を経験した遺族は15名であった.お別れ会の内容でよかった点として,[祈祷(祈り)],[スタッフの参加]などが抽出され,遺族はお別れ会を行うことによって,[区切り],[気持ちの平安],[心身の癒し]を感じ,[振り返りの機会]や,[心に残る特別な思い出]を得ていた.【考察】お別れ会は,遺族の気持ちの平安や喪失感の軽減の助けとなり,死別後の遺族の悲嘆の軽減につながる可能性が考えられた.本調査から得られた遺族の声をもとに,遺族の思いに寄り添った,より質の高い遺族ケアの実施や,今後のさらなる研究につなげていきたい.

本研究は、幼児における道徳性の萌芽が、幼児の抱く憧れの気持ちを基盤とした人格の形成に伴って成されえることを思弁的に論証した。例えば、絵本や物語の読み聞かせなどを通じて、幼児は登場人物に憧れの気持ちを抱く。憧れの感情を善悪という観点からは論じえないため、教師は、幼児の憧れが望ましい方向に発達するよう援助していく必要がある。また、シェリングの憧憬論をもとにこれについて分析を行ったところ、憧れの気持ちを抱くことから人格の形成が始まり、憧れという抽象的なものを、知性を働かせて言語化し、具体的なものに昇華していく営みが人格の陶冶であり、善悪の概念もまたそれとともに生じてくることが分かった。総じて、教師にとって、幼児における人格の形成ないし道徳性の萌芽とは、幼児が様々な活動を楽しむ中で、自身の環境に対する憧れの気持ちを言葉によって明瞭に表現していく過程で自分を顧み、自分の精神性を発達させていけるように援助する営為だと言える。

We conducted an audience survey, profiling attendees to identify factors which encourage and discourage theater attendance, based on the case of the Hyogo Cultural Center, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The survey shows that many attendees are heavy repeaters, tending to be of senior age, well educated, and in the high income demographic. The Center has succeeded in establishing a good relationship with such attendees. However, income and education are not correlated to whether attendees become heavy repeaters, which suggests that some people who have not attended performances might become potential frequent attendees if exposure to an initial theatrical experience was properly provided. Also, the younger generation has difficulty in finding time to visit theaters, and this is a serious obstacle in developing potential attendees from this group.

Transparent pyrex glasses were obtained by sintering a green compact, which was fabricated by using CIP method for pyrex glass powder, in diverse atmosphere (air, Ar, He and vacuum (10-2Pa)) at 973-1173K. Effects of sintering conditions (temperature and atmosphere) on transmittance of sintered glasses were investigated. Devitrification resulting from crystallization of cristobalite arose in all atmosphere at temperatures over 1023K. Optimum sintering condition for fabricating transparent sintered pyrex glass was at 1003 K for 1hour in a vacuum (10-2 Pa) or He atmosphere in this work. The transparency was 15∼20% in visible region and was about 60% in infrared region. The relationship between transparency and condition of the sintered glasses was discussed in terms of permeation constant of gas species during sintering.
