論説(Article)明治9(1976)年8月に、京都府乙訓郡の1つの村=上植野村で玄米窃盗未遂事件が発生した。同村は、近世以来、畿内非領国の1つの特徴である、多くの領主が所領とする「相給」村で、かつ独特な水利慣行を維持してきた村であり、自治的で平準的な村柄を特徴とする村であった。そういった村内で、村人が起こした事件に対して、村は当時の法を受け入れつつも、村として事件の「犯人」とその家族を救済するために、家族の「必至難渋」を伝えることにより、憐憫の処分を強く訴えるのである。この事件は、明治維新以降の近代化の過程のなかでも、村の自治=相互扶助性が強く維持されていることを示す事例である。In August 1876, an attempted theft took place in Kamiueno village in Kyoto prefecture of Japan. This village had two distinguishing features. The first was that this village was the territory of many lords during the Edo era. The second was that the village had its own system of water supply. Both characteristics indicate that this village was self-governed and created equality among the people in the village. During the trial, the village appealed to the court of justice to show leniency to the culprit. This incident shows that a village could be self-governed and reciprocal help among village people strongly after the Meiji Restoration.

Cloud droplet formation is an important process in water cycle between the earth and the atmosphere. In order to investigate the nonsteady growth of cloud droplets due to the condensation of the atmopheric water vapor on (NH4) 2 SO4 particles, a mathematical model has been constructed and the nonsteady growth has been simulated numerically with use of the mathematical model. The mathematical model is constituted by the conservation laws of water mass and heat energy and the state equation of ideal gas. As the speed of time variation of droplet heat QW is very fast compared with that of droplet mass mw, droplet temperature Ta can be treated as in steady state. The equilibrium droplet size ae is dependent on the 3/2 power of the initial radius aso of cloud condensation nucleus (NH4) 2SO4. The larger as0 is, the more the droplet grows in its equilibrium size ae. It takes much time for large condensation nucleus to attain the equilibrium size ae. It also has been cleared that Kelvin's equation is not always applicable to estimate the cloud droplet siz

19世紀後半のフランスによる植民化は、西アフリカ都市に根本的な影響を与えたと同時に、近代的都市計画の出発点をもたらした。西アフリカのプレ・コロニアルな都市はフィジカルやメタフィジカルな記号によって構成され、住民にとって生活規約や伝統的生活の社会的意味を持つ空間である。本研究はマリ共和国の植民地都市であるジェンネやバマコにおける都市発展過程の考察を通して、伝統的都市空間がどのように植民地化による変容と近代化の影響を受けたかを明らかにした。プレ・コロニアルとコロニアル都市の比較研究により、マリの都市空間が物理的変化を受けた結果生じた社会構造の変化を考察した。こうした都市の物理的変化によって人と空間の関係が失われたことで伝統社会のコミュニケーションが変容したことを明らかにする。

The anti-influenza virus drug oseltamivir has been reported to have several pharmacological actions including blocking of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor channels and activation of the dopaminergic system. These pharmacological actions highly overlap those of amantadine, another anti-influenza virus drug authorized in Japan, and ester-type local anesthetics. Moreover, oseltamivir and amantadine can clinically induce similar adverse neuropsychiatric reactions. In the present study, from the database of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), we surveyed 2,576 drugs for which neuropsychiatric side effects similar to those of oseltamivir, amantadine and local anesthetics (abnormal behavior, confusion, consciousness disturbance, convulsion, delirium, delusion, hallucination, myoclonus, tremor) are listed as “clinically significant adverse reactions”, and found 327 that had at least one of these adverse reactions. Other neuraminidase inhibitors (laninamivir, peramivir and zanamivir) did not elicit such adverse reactions. By discussing the pharmacological effects of drugs that elicit these adverse reactions, we propose that the similarity of adverse neuropsychiatric reactions between oseltamivir and amantadine is possibly attributable to their common pharmacological effects.

【目的】地域在住高齢者に適するようにShort Physical Performance Battery(以下,SPPB)算出方法の修正を試みた。【方法】高齢者4,328 名をSPPB(0 ~12 点)で評価し,歩行速度と椅子立ち座りは対象者の測定値(四分位)を基に,立位バランスは立位保持の出来高によって配点した地域高齢者向けのSPPB community-based score(以下,SPPB-com)(0 ~10 点)を算出し,24 ヵ月の要介護発生との関連を調べた。【結果】対象者の78.7% でSPPB が,10.5% でSPPB-com が満点であった。SPPB-com が4 点以下で要支援・要介護発生率が高く(12.8%),SPPB-com,年齢,女性,MMSE が要支援・要介護発生と有意に関連していた。【結論】SPPB を再得点化したSPPB-com は地域在住高齢者の要支援・要介護リスクを把握する指標として有益となることが示唆された。

Nucleotide sequences of a 0.7kb portion of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene were analyzed using Japanese species of water striders belonging to the subgenus Macrogerris. Although the sequences were rather homogeneous among individuals within both Gerris gracilicornis and G. yezoensis, considerable variation was observed among insects showing conventionally recognized diagnostic characteristics of G. insularis. Results of molecular phylogenetic analyses clearly indicated that there are three distinct lineages, designated as types A, B, and C, among these latter insects. Comparisons of nucleotide sequences indicated that genetic distances among these lineages were much larger than those between G. gracilicornis and G. yezoensis. From PCR-RFLP analyses of insects collected from 35 localities, it was revealed that the geographic distributions of types B and C were divided between northeastern Honshu island and western Japan including Kyushu island and central to western Honshu island, whereas that of type A largely overlapped with those of the other two types. Although male adults of the three types were homogeneous in conventionally recognized diagnostic characteristics, apparent differences were observed in the shape of the head, pronotum, fore femur, and color pattern of the anterior pronotum between type A and the other two types. In addition, types B and C showed apparent dimorphism in hind wings, containing both long- and short-winged individuals, whereas type A showed only long and wide hind wings. Preliminary observations of mating behavior indicated that a precopulatory reproductive isolation is operative between type A and other two types. Based on these results, evolutionary relationships among the three lineages are discussed.

【目的】あいりん地域でよく利用されている料理を参考にして作成した「目安量表」を用いて半定量食物摂取頻度調査法(Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire:FFQと略す)で調査を行った。その妥当性について検討することを本研究の目的とした。【方法】あいりん地域に生活の拠点を置く者を対象としてFFQを実施し,255名(全男性)の参加者を得た。このうち21名については食事記録についても協力が得られたため,この21名を本研究の対象者とした。食事記録より得られた値を基準とし,目安量表を用いたFFQより得られたエネルギー及び栄養素摂取量,食品群別摂取量について相関係数を用いて妥当性を検討した。【結果】エネルギー及び栄養素摂取量における相関係数の中央値は粗値で0.57,エネルギー調整,de-attenuation後では0.56であった。相関係数0.4以上が得られたのは粗値でも,エネルギー調整,de-attenuation後でも33項目中28項目であった。食品群別摂取量における相関係数の中央値は粗値,エネルギー調整後共に0.50であり,相関係数0.4以上が得られたのは粗値,エネルギー調整後共に17項目中12項目であった。【結論】様々な制約はあるものの,この目安量表を用いたFFQは今回の対象者においてある程度有効なツールになり得ることが示された。

The main purposes of this paper are to measure the economic benefits of higher education and to clarify the scheme of differentiation in the higher educational system. In the economics of education we have used the private rate of return to measure the economic benefits which a person gets from education. But most previous research has an error in the empirical method. The error uses in not combining the private rate of return and the actual student placements in employment for each university. I try to remedy this error. Firstly I investigate differences in employment opportunity according to industry and enterprise size relating to 33 faculties of 10 universities (Table 2). Secondly I calculate the private rate of return for each of them (Table 3). Finally, I combine both results (Table 4). I think the private rate of return calculated by this method supersedes previous research. Furthermore from the standpoint of economics. I try to explain the demand trend of higher education on the basis of the research findings. As a result it is proved that the aspiration to graduate from a higher prestige university is reasonable economically.

本稿は,従来言い淀みや場つなぎ語などと言われてきたフィラーの中の「あの」に焦点を当て,談話構造が明快な道教え談話を用いて,「あの」のテクスト構成機能について検証するものである。道教え談話を,道順説明に相当する「現行部分」とコミュニケーション上の問題への対処に関わる「副次部分」から成るとした上で,「あの」の出現位置の特定を試みた。その結果,「あの」は,副次部分の導入と関係が深く,また,現行部分においては,現実との照合が必要な情報内容を導入する際に用いられることが多く,話し手が聞き手の理解ということに特に気を配る箇所で使用されるということを明らかにした。

人口増加と食肉需要の増大に伴い,牛の飼育頭数は急激に増加した。かつて牛は草や農作物残滓を食べて,牛肉や牛乳,皮革を人類に提供し,役畜として働き,その排泄物は肥料にも燃料にもなった。現在は大量の牛の飼育のために放牧地の植生が劣化し,熱帯林が草地へ転換されている。特に先進国では穀物飼育を行い,畜産排泄物は淡水資源を汚染する。これら畜産による地球環境負荷を考察した。さらに温室効果ガス(GHG)の地球規模の排出に,牛が関与する割合を計算した。 牛の飼育とGHGの関係には,GHG発生量の増加と,吸収量の減少の二つの側面がある。放出されるGHGとして,牛のルーメンから発生するメタン,呼吸によるCO2,飼料用穀物の生産のために発生するCO2などがある。他方,過放牧のために植生が減少したり,また草地を作るために森林が開拓されて,大気からのCO2の吸収量が減少する。また化学肥料の使用によって亜酸化窒素(N20)も空気中に放出される。これらの植生劣化まで含めて計算した結果,人為的GHG総排出量に対して,牛が関与する割合はCO2で25%,メタンで19%,N20では不確実性を伴うものの18%となった。メタンについては比較的短い寿命のために,大気中濃度安定化のための削減必要レベルは人為メタン総排出量の10%と小さく,牛の存在がなければメタンの問題は解決し,牛の関与分は大きいと言える。他方,CO2とN20については削減必要レベルはそれぞれ60%以上,70~80%と大きく,世界中で牛の飼育を全部削減したとしても,地球温暖化問題を解決するほどではない。

本稿は、「乙女ゲーム」の歴史の変遷とともに、「乙女ゲーム」におけるキャラクターの重要性についてイメー ジカラーを中核として考察したものである。「乙女ゲーム」は、1994 年に発売されて以降、ノベルゲーム化していく とともに、さまざまなゲームタイトルが発売されてきた。このような「乙女ゲーム」を紹介するゲーム雑誌を分析す ると、「乙女ゲーム」が多く発売されるようになる 2010 年以降、キャラクターやストーリーを重視したものとなって いたことが明らかとなった。さらに、「乙女ゲーム」の攻略対象キャラクターとイメージカラーのもつ意味との関係 性を考察した。そのような攻略対象キャラクターに、「声」を当てることによって、読むだけよりも臨場感のあるゲー ムといえ、「乙女ゲーム」の特徴として捉えることができるのである。
