In response to Mr. Watanabe’s review of my Hume’s Scepticism, this paper elucidates Hume’s “sceptical solution” of his own “total scepticism”. Sceptical solution in general intends to solve scepticism or sceptical doubt by showing that the logical step from sceptical argument to scepticism makes use of some assumption external to our ordinary beliefs or common assertions. However, Hume’s Scepticism characterizes Hume’s “total scepticism” as an internal one, which is deduced only from some assumptions internal to our common sense. Instead of pointing out some external assumption, Hume’s “sceptical solution” of internal “total scepticism” states that it is proper we should indulge our emotive inclination to judge and believe, notwithstanding our rational scepticism.

In hospitals oil-based ink is occasionally used to write the patient's name, his room number, and names of the drugs that are used in a mixture on the plastic containers used for infusion. This is done to prevent medication errors. In the current study, the effect of an oil-based ink on the infusion fluid was investigated. Using an oil-bused ink containing xylene, letters and other characters were written on an infusion fluid container that was made of Polypropylene・Polyethylene・Ethylene vinyl acetate. It was confirmed that some xylene had been transported to the interior of the container (air phase). Furthermore, the xylene concentration in the air phase rose with repetitive writing and erasing, using the same oil-based ink. But no xylene was dissolved in the solution that was in the container (Iiquid phase). This observation convinced us that it is highly unlikely that the xylene in the ink can be infused directly into a patient's body. However, to assure the quality of the medication that is in liquid form, it is not desirable for a substance that does not normally exist as a component of the medication to move through its container. In the present experiment, physiological saline was used as a solution (liquid phase). Our findings showed that xylene had a high possibility of dissolving in solutions known for high xylene solubility (e.g., solutions with a large amount of amino acids or surfactants). Therefore, it is necessary to design a method to prevent ink from centering a container when an oil-based ink is applied to the outside of it.

1989年竣工の社宅を改修して分譲した川崎市の「リノア元住吉」。最上階の4戸に太陽光発電の戸別売電システムを導入。分譲価格には太陽光発電分150万円がプラスされるものの、一般住戸と同様に即日完売した。 リノア元住吉は、リビタ(東京都渋谷区)が手掛ける「一棟丸ごと」改修オール電化マンションの14棟目にあたる。2011年2月に改修が完了した。

症例は71歳, 男性. 45歳時に糖尿病と診断された. 64歳時よりsulfonylurea剤を, 70歳時よりインスリンによる治療を開始した, 1998年1月, 糖尿病性ケトアシドーシスを発症し近医に入院となった. 経静脈的にインスリンが投与されケトーシスは改善した. 皮下インスリン注射による強化療法に変更し, 投与量を漸増したところ早朝低血糖および日中高血糖傾向が強まった. 抗インスリン抗体陽性であり, 精査目的にて当科入院となった. euglycemic hyper insulinemic clamp study にて血糖を100 mg/d<I>l</I>にクランプし0.5 mU/kg/minから10 mU/kg/minへとインスリン注入率を増量したところ, ブドウ糖注入率は2.O mg/kg/minから3.5 mg/kg/minに上昇するのみであった. Total IRiは著明に上昇したが, free lRl はわずかな上昇にとどまった. インスリン減量により, 早朝低血糖は消失し, さらにステロイドホルモン内服投与により, 日中高血糖も改善した. 抗インスリン抗体が早朝低血糖および日中高血糖に関与した症例と考えられた.

DCT成分を用いて動画からシーン変わり目の(カット)を検出する方法を研究している。動画中の各フレームをブロックに分割し、DCT成分を求めると、同一シーン中の隣接するフレーム間では類似しているという特徴がある。このことに注目し本研究では、隣接するフレーム間で変化を求めてカットを検出するのではなく、連続するフレームによってクラスタを形成する方法を提案している。カットの検出は、形成された二つのクラスタを分割するフレームとして結果的に求めることが出来る。これにより、従来法で問題となっていた明るさの変化に敏感に反応するという点を改善することが出来るようになった。今回は、クラスタを形成する際のブロックサイズ、フレーム幅、使用するDCT周波数成分について最適なパラメータを求める実験を行なった。また、従来法との比較実験を行ない、本手法が、従来法で困難とされたいた、明るさが変化する場合、フラッシュがたかれた場合、暗い動画に対しても有効であることを示した。

大豆由来イソフラボンであるゲニステインは栄養補助食品としてその効果が認められているが,同時にエストロゲン様作用が雄性生殖器の発達に及ぼす影響も懸念されている.そこで,本研究では,この点を明らかにする為に,妊娠および授乳期に大豆ベースの餌を食べさせた母親から生まれた21日齢のマウスに,ゲニステイン(2.5mg/kg/day)およびエストラジオール(7.5μg/kg/day)を5週間投与した.実験期間中,マウスはカゼインベースのAIN-76で飼育を行った.ゲニステイン投与とコントロール群(コーンオイル投与)との間に精子数や精子運動能に関して違いは見られなかった.エストラジオール投与群では前立腺重量や精巣上体精子数が,コントロール群に比べて顕著に減少していた.セレン依存性ペルオキシダーゼ・スーパーファミリーのひとつであるphospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase (PHGPx)はゲニステインおよびエストラジオール投与群で,コントロールに比べて有意に増加していた.エストラジオール投与は精子変性やアポトーシス増加,精巣上体の変性や前立腺のhyperplasiaを引き起こしていたが,ゲニステイン投与マウスでは,これらに関し異常は見られなかった.従って,成長期のゲニステインの日常的な摂取は,生殖器の発達や機能には影響を与えないことが示唆された.

Speech scrambling aims to eliminate intelligibility of original speech in order to preventing eavesdropping and copyright infringement. There is, however, a problem in that completely recovering scrambled speech into the original speech cannot be achieved with conventional methods. In this paper, we propose a speech scrambling method that uses the random-bit-shift of quantization bits with common keys. We evaluated the confidentiality and efficiency of the proposed method by using two objective measures, SER and PESQ. As a result we confirmed that speech signals can be scrambled into completely unintelligible sounds with the proposed method. Moreover, it is possible to restore a scrambled speech signal into the original one completely. In addition, we also confirmed that the scrambled speech signal could not be descrambled correctly with the wrong key.
