六三〇年代以降、アラブがビザンツ帝国の領域への侵攻を開始し、シリア・パレスティナ地域やエジプトなどが短期間にビザンツ帝国の手から奪われた。当初ビザンツ帝国の人びとは、アラビア半島からの侵攻者がどのような人びとであるのか、十分に理解できていなかった。だがアラブ国家が安定し、彼らとのさまざまな形の交渉が進むにつれて、アラブがどのような人びとであるのか、ビザンツ帝国の人びとも徐々に理解していく。そしてアラブとの対峙が続く中で、自らを「神の加護を得ている皇帝が支配するキリスト教徒の共同体・地域=ローマ帝国」とみなすアイデンティティも再確認されていった。一方アラブもビザンツ帝国を滅ぼすことができなかったため、「ローマ帝国の後継者」となることができなかった。そのためビザンツ帝国との併存が確定的となった七世紀末以降、独自のイスラーム文明を形成していく道を選ぶことになる。

The purpose of this paper is to study by the urban axis concept and the hierarchical structure method for the city design plans by Kenzo Tange. In case of many of his architectural works by Kenzo Tange, people will find golden sections on their design. From the early period of his design his architecture were a kind of city design and he strongly requests the urban axis concept to the symbolic structure design on top of the axis. In case of city design models his view points are like a birds eye view, so that his interests are relationship and proportion of combination of street width especially the case the streets are straight or orthogonally. Compare with architectural elevations, the functional restricts are stronger because the width of streets reflects the volume of traffic, but in case of symbolic loads landscaping with street trees etc. and with pedestrian way would control the total width of street. On the top of the urban axix he set the symbolic end and also symbolize the urban axis in case of the city design.

神や死霊あるいは動物霊などの霊的存在と人間との交流が憑霊である。夢や存在しないはずの姿を見たり、声を聴いたりすることもまた憑霊現象のひとつで、シャーマニズムでは憑霊に何らかの意味があるものとして、霊的存在との接触を試みる。一方、科学としての精神医学は霊的存在を認めず、憑霊を身体的障害によって生じる幻覚と捉え、個人を社会から切り離して治療しようとする。しかし昨今では、ホリスティック医学に代表されるように、医学側も霊的存在(精神文化)に関心を寄せ、シャーマニズム研究に接近しつつある。

世界各地の動物園で飼育される蛇類に広く多数寄生して宿主に被害を及ぼすことで知られるヘビオオサシダニが, 愛媛県立砥部動物園のミドリニシキヘビと上野動物園のボアから見つかった。本邦新記録種であるうえ, 肉眼的にイエダニに酷似する種類であるので, 本種の形態を示した。

<p>微小血管手術を予定された54歳の女性イスラム教徒患者の周術期管理を経験した.イスラム教の宗教上の理由から,麻酔管理では生物由来製品(ブタ),アルコールは使用できないなど使用薬剤に制限があり,患者に確認を行う必要があった.イスラム教徒の周術期管理には,麻酔管理以外にも通訳の問題,ハラール食の提供,未婚の女性では男性医師の診察に制限がある,生活習慣の違いを理解する,などの配慮が必要となることがある.当院で経験した症例から学んだ,イスラム教の概要と,使用に制限のある生物由来製品を提示し,イスラム教徒患者の周術期管理における注意点を考察する.</p>

The temporal progressive increase of interferon tau (IFNτ) secretion from the bovine trophoblast is a major embryonic signal of establishing pregnancy. Here, we cultured and isolated bovine trophoblast cells (BTs) from IVM/IVF oocytes and in vitro produced blastocysts, used them, for the first time, as donor cells for nuclear transfer and compared them with adult fibroblasts (AFs) as donor cells. BTs were reprogrammed in enucleated oocytes to blastocysts with similar efficiency to AFs (14.5% and 15.6% respectively, P≤0.05). The levels of IFNτ, CDX2 and OCT4 expression in IVF-, BT- and AF-derived blastocysts were analyzed using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR and RT-qPCR). IVF-produced embryos were used as reference to analyze the linear progressive expression of IFNτ through mid, expanded and hatching blastocysts. RT-PCR and RT-qPCR studies showed that IFNτ expression was higher in BT-derived blastocysts than IVF- and AF-derived blastocysts. Both IVF- and BT-derived blastocysts showed a progressive increase in IFNτ expression as blastocyst development advanced when it compared with AF-derived blastocysts. OCT4 was inversely related with IFNτ expression, while CDX2 was found to be directly related with IFNτ temporal expression. Persistence of high expression of IFNτ and CDX2 was found to be higher in BT-derived embryos than in IVF- or AF-derived embryos. In conclusion, using BTs expressing IFNτ as donor cells for bovine NT could be a useful tool for understanding the IFNτ genetics and epigenetics.

オーストラリアの哲学者ピーター・シンガーは選好功利主義に立って、重い障害をもつ新生児の安楽死を擁護するが、この主張はドイツ語圏の人々に、ナチスの「安楽死」の苦い記憶を想起させることになった。シンガーを招いたシンポジウムは障害者を中心とする広汎な抗議行動のために軒並み中止に追い込まれ、ドイツのマスコミはシンガーを「ファシスト」呼ばわりした。攻撃はさらに生命倫理学や応用倫理学、果ては分析哲学全般にまで飛び火し、これらの分野の研究者は学問的生命すら危ぶまれている。日本国内にも、バイオエシックスを弱者を切り捨て生命操作を押し進めるためのイデオロギーとみなす見方が一部にある。「シンガー事件」は、バイオエシックスの本質と意義を再考し、今後の日本の生命倫理学のあり方を考える上で、看過できない重大な問題を提起している。

脆弱性は、利用者もしくは攻撃者の特異な利用・攻撃の場合に生じる安全性の欠如状態をもさす点で、通常の瑕疵よりも広い概念となる。この概念の違いが、脆弱性を修正すべき義務の法的な位置づけを左右することになる。さらに脆弱性の発見行為について、不正アクセス禁止法の該当性、契約上の制限の問題があるし、脆弱性の公開については、同様に契約上の制限の問題や完全開示論と「責任ある開示」論の衝突、表現の自由のなかでの位置づけの問題がある。特にこの最後の問題に関連して、ソフトウェア等脆弱性関連情報取扱基準は、注目すべきものとなる。

We have found that the envelope waveform of the initial part of P waves changes systematically with magnitude and epicentral distance. In order to represent the envelope waveform quantitatively we introduced a simple function of the form of Bt·exp(-At). Two parameters A and B can easily be determined by the least-squares method. The parameter B defines the slope of the initial part of the P-wave envelope and A is related to the amplitude growth or decay with time. When A is positive, B/(Ae) gives the maximum amplitude where e denotes the base of natural logarithm. This case is typical for small earthquakes, indicating that the initial amplitude increases sharply and decays quickly soon after the P-wave arrival. When A is negative, the amplitude increases exponentially with time. This is a characteristic of large earthquakes.We have found from the analysis of actual seismic data that log B is inversely proportional to the epicentral distance Δ even though the dispersion of data is somewhat large. This relation seems to be independent of earthquake magnitude and thus, by using this relation, we can roughly estimate the epicentral distance immediately after the P-wave arrival. Then, we can estimate the magnitude easily from the formula, similar to the conventional magnitude-amplitude relation, M=α·logVmax+β·logB+γ, where Vmax is the P-wave maximum amplitude within a given short time interval (e. g., 3 seconds) after the P-wave arrival. For M7- and M8-class earthquakes whose rupture duration reaches 10 sec or more, we need to estimate the magnitude repeatedly with time as the amplitude increases.The decrease of the parameter B with distance may be caused by anelasticity of the medium, scattering and geometrical spreading of P waves during propagation.
