1970年代に黄河から河川水の取水量が増えるにつれて,下流域に断流,地下水汚染及び塩分集積など水環境問題が深刻になってきた.山東省禹城と斉河県の研究地域を例として,自然変化と人間活動を総合してこれらの問題を解析した.まず文献による年代ごとの黄河流域の主な気候・植生変化と人間活動の影響を整理し,三段階の史的区分を行った.つぎに水資源量・人口・耕地の比率と長期間の降水・流量の時系列資料より断流現象を分析した結果,その主な理由が人間活動に由来するのではないかと考えられた.地下水流動系からみると黄河下流域は流出域であり塩分集積が起こりやすいという特徴を持つが,黄河断流が発生しない限り,すなわち黄河からの水が灌漑に利用可能である限り,下流域の農業は持続可能であろう.下流域の浅い帯水層でのみ硝酸が検出されたが,その主な理由は1.2mのZFPの存在,および上向きの地下水流動である.また,窒素同位体の結果に基づき硝酸汚染は化学肥料,人間廃棄物および家畜し尿によるものと思われる.

To establish highly automated leather finishing process, it is necessary to develop the leather handling robot system which are provided with automatic aligned stacking and feeding functions of side-leather for loading and unloading to leather finishing machines. The robot system are composed of manipulation hand with vacuum pad and image processing system to recognize the shape patterns of side-leather for aligning functions. For the image processing, 2 types of sensors are applied. They are CCD camera for the recognition of shape patterns and other one is luster sensor to detect grain or flesh side. By applying the developed shape patterns recognition algorithms to the image processing system, side-leather discriminations of grain or flesh, head or tail, belly or back were carried out perfectly. As the result, the handling robot aligned side-leathers with following 2 stacking methods.1) Stacking with left and right side along the backbone (LR method).2) Stacking with grain to grain (GG method).Also, investigated on the robot hand to hold correctly each 1 leaf from stacked up side-leathers on the table.

We have developed novel three-dimensional finite element brain model (previously reported whole model) with material property of hyper elastic feature, which successfully demonstrated the intraoperative deformation simulation. However, shortening of computation time was essential for the real-time simulation. In this study, a parametric study to evaluate the difference of constitutive models affects both deformation results and computational time of simulation. Hyper and linear elastic models performed both gravity induced brain shift after fronto-temporal craniotomy and cerebellar hemispheric retraction by spatula for the posterior fossa surgery. The gravity induced brain shift simulation using the linear elastic material model successfully achieved up to 51% reduction of computation time compared with hyper elastic one within acceptable displacement error. Cerebellar retraction simulation also showed acceptable deformation results in both models, while in pressure analysis, an obvious underestimation in liner elastic one. Our results showed the usefulness of linear elastic model in gravity induced simulation for the reduction of computation time. On the other hand, careful attention was needed in the evaluation of pressure analysis by surgical maneuver when using linear elastic model.

I analyze the environmental sculpture of Michael Heizer's "trace" by his action in the desert and create the connection between Art and Archeology. The "Trace" has multiple meanings. The notion of "Displacement" which is related to "Trace", is defined as the displacement of the people, objects and matter. "Displacement" denotes the replacement or transfer. 1) I situate the historic context which has made the foundation for the interdisciplinary theory between actual art and archeology through the exchange of information of American art historians and anthropologists.2) I analyze the relation of the contemporary Land art and the notion of "Colossal", which also has multiple meanings, issued from 18th century philosophy of the Sublime, as evidence of connection between art and archeology. I also analyze "Diffracted Gestalt", the key concept in understanding the works of M. Heizer 3) I analyze the notion of "Displacement", in three cases: (1)Monument, (2)Connection of art and archeology, and (3)Copy. 4) 1 consider the actions of M. Heizer as ritual and analyze the meaning of his individual ritualistic action, referring the American Indian's ritual in the art context.

バビンスキー型病態失認とソマトパラフレニアについて考察した。とりわけ, 筆者の考える, 発現機序仮説について述べた。筆者の仮説に従えば, 左半身の麻痺に気づかないようにみえるのは, 実は決して麻痺している左半身の麻痺を否認しているのではない。右半球損傷によって喪失した左半身の「身体意識」が, 残存する「身体図式」を介して右半身に組み込まれ, 右半身が身体意識のすべてとなる。患者は, 実は麻痺している左半身の麻痺を否認している訳ではない。ソマトパラフレニアは, 自身に帰属しなくなった左半身と現実の麻痺肢との間の矛盾解決のために生じた, 誘発作話, 空想作話である。

■島村俊一の狐憑病調査 憑きものに関心をもつものにとって,本誌の「シリーズ・日本各地の憑依現象」はありがたい。その第2回「山陰地方の狐憑き」3)は島村による現地調査にふれていないので,『東京医学会雑誌』の第6巻(1892年)から第7巻に8回にわたり連載された「島根県下狐憑病取調報告」8)の内容を紹介したい。 島村は1891年(明治24年)7月8日に出張を命じられて14日に東京を出発。尾道で1名の狐憑病患者をみ,23日松江着。出雲・石見・隠岐の3国をめぐり啓蒙講演もし,8月29日に松江をたって9月2日帰京。その間に人狐憑き29名(男9,女20),犬神憑き(外道憑き)2名(男女各1),狸憑き1名(男),野狐憑き2名(男)の計34名をみた。名称はちがっても同病なので狐憑きと概称すると島村はいう。診断は錯迷狂〔パラノイア〕4,躁狂4,ヒステリー狂およびヒステリー15,酒精中毒症3,続発痴狂1,老人痴狂1,マラリアおよびチフス3,関節炎1,肺癆1,卵巣のう腫1。狐憑きとされた状態像は,躁状8,錯迷5,熱性譫妄5,ヒステリー発作15,腫物1である。患者が狐憑きとみとめられたのは,責めをうけたのちに自白してが10名,他よりただちに狐憑きと目されたのが24名である。

1995年 (6~8月) および1996年 (7~9月) に北西北太平洋 (北緯35~52度, 東経140~170度) で捕獲された177頭 (雌: 21頭, 雄: 156頭) のミンククジラについて外部・内部寄生虫相を調査した結果, 外部寄生虫3種;クジライカリムシPennella balaenoptera (68.4%), クジラシラミCyamus balaenoptera (5.1%), Xenobalanus globicipitis (1.1%), 内部寄生虫6種;Anisakis simplex (89.8%), クジラ大複殖門条虫.Diplogmoporus balaenoptera (13.0%), 大卵裂頭条虫Diphykkobothrium macroovatum (13.0%), Tetrabothriussp.(4.5%), クジラ肝蛭Lecithodesmus goliath (59.9%) およびクジラ鉤頭虫Bolbsoma niponicum (100.0%) が検出された.

Environmental stresses often cause serious damages to plants, and many cases of environmental stresses are accompanied by oxidative stress derived from overproduced reactive oxygen species (ROS). In chloroplasts under oxidative stress, stimulated peroxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids by ROS generates reactive carbonyls that can act as toxic and signaling chemicals, RSLVs (Reactive Short-chain Leaf Volatiles). In this note, mechanism of production of reactive carbonyls and their physiological roles in environmental stress response are discussed.

本発表は、沖縄本島北部X区の年忌行事(スーコー)を事例として、とくに姉妹(ウナイ)と嫁(ユミ)という二つ社会的役割の関係に着目しながら、祖先祭祀における女性の地位と役割を考察しようとするものである。その上で、これまで学問分野によって見解が分かれてきた民俗宗教領域における沖縄女性の地位が、祭祀に参与する女性の社会的役割によっても異なることを明らかにしていきたい。
