The unknown, nonsteroidal, nonglycosidal and N-free substance, which had been obtained as crystals from the root tubers of Dioscorea bulbifera L. forma spontanea Makino et Nemoto, was found to be a mixture of at least three compounds. One of them, named bulbiferin C, m.p.255°, (α)_D +17.3°, was isolated only in trace and the structures of major component, bulbiferin B, m.p. 285°, (α)_D+103.0° and minor, bulbiferin A, m.p. 283°, (α)_D +16.2°, were investigated. Bulbiferin B, C_<19>H_<20>O_6, m.w. 344 (mass) has γ-lactone, β-substituted furane and no hydroxyl groups (positive Ehrlich reaction, I.R., U.V. and mass spectra). B is converted to A by hydrolysis with NaOH in pyridine followed by neutralisation and methylation with diazometane. Bulbiferin A,C_<20>H_<24>O_7, m.w. 376 (mass), has hydroxyl, ester, γ-lactone and β-substituted furane functions (Ehrlich reaction, I.R., U.V. and mass spectra). On treatment with NaBH_4 B is unchanged but by catalytic hydrogenation over PtO_2 it gives a hexahydro-compound having tertiary hydroxyl group indicating B (and also A) has an ether oxygen. The hydrogenated B is reduced with LiAlH_4 and the product is subjected to the Se-dehydrogenation to give 1,2,5-trimethyl naphthalene. The N.M.R. spectra of tetrahydro-B and -A indicate the presence of one tertiary methyl group. From these and other experimental data B and A are respectively assigned the partial formulae (a) and (b) of furano-norditerpene type. The results of a further investigation on the location of the functional groups which lead to the tentative structures of B and A are presented.

Nitration of 1-cyanoisoquinoline 2-oxide (1) with potassium nitrate and sulfuric acid gave 5-and 6-nitro derivatives (2 and 3). The reaction was affected by the concentration of sulfuric acid, and 3 was obtained in small yields as the sole product from the reactions in the 85% acid at 70°. Nitration with fuming nitric acid (d=1.50) led to the formation of 3 in fairly good yields together with small amounts of 8-nitro derivative (7). Further, nitration of isoquinoline 2-oxide (9) with fuming nitric acid was found to give 5-, 6- and 8-nitro derivatives (10, 11 and 12). The orienting effect of the N-oxide function is apparently operative in the formation of 11 and 12.

When we import something from one culture to another, there is a tendency to focus on single parts rather than the whole. These parts are usually the visible, formal ones, while the enabling background social factors are often ignored. When considering the CEFR we need to analyze the societal factors behind the CEFR and compare these with the social context in Japan in order to find the optimal conditions to implement those concepts we would like to adopt. Within the context of the CEFR, the issues that have attracted the most attention are Can-do Statements and the European Language Portfolio. This Can-do Statement method of evaluation is not an innovative one, as it has been already implemented in fields, such as the world of diplomacy, where actual, practical language competences are desired. If the sole function of measuring competences is selecting and categorizing citizens, then this method is not necessary, as evaluators are already comfortable with traditional methods of evaluation. The need to adopt this method of evaluation in Europe can explained through social developments there. In my paper I will analyze this background and consider to what extent we Japanese share these developments or preconditions. I will do so from the perspectives of the knowledge society, lifelong learning, population mobility, and supported by some pedagogical/educational considerations including the quatre savors concepts.

This paper discusses the dynamics computation of structure-varying kinematic chains which imply mechanical link systems whose structure may change from open kinematic chain to closed one and vice versa. The proposed algorithm can handle and compute dynamics and motions of any rigid link systems in a seamless manner without switching among algorithms. The computation is developed on the foundation of the dynamics computation algorithms developed in robotics, which is inherently superior in efficiency due to explicit use of the generalized coordinates to those used in the general purpose motion analysis software. The structure varying kinematic chains are commonly found in computing human and animal motions. The established computation will provide the general algorithmic foundation of the computation of motion and control of humanoid robots and CG human figures.

平成30年の診療報酬改定にオンライン診療が正式に認められ,今後遠隔医療が普及していく流れは不可避なものなった.本稿では,次世代医療として,この遠隔医療とその先の未来に実現される人工知能(AI)に基づく医療技術に関して概説する.遠隔医療に関しては,遠隔医療が発展してきた背景を紹介した上で,大きく医師と患者(DtoP),医師と医師(DtoD)の2種類の遠隔医療形態の利点・欠点を整理し,目指すべき遠隔医療の形を示す.更に,平成30年4月に米国食品医薬品局についに認可された初の機械学習に基づく医療機器を例に,人工知能が活用される医療領域に関して説明し,来たる将来の医療に関して論ずる.

【目的】スタッフの臨床栄養に関する知識の把握を目的に調査を行った。【対象および方法】2011年4月と11月にアンケート調査を行った。1回目の結果を公表し、2回目の調査までに栄養療法の基礎的な内容のNSTセミナーを行った。【結果】基本項目の正答率 (1回目) は3大栄養素の熱量は52%、6大栄養素の成分は20%、微量元素製剤に含まれる微量元素は11%、急性期の栄養指標は5%であった。略語の意味の正答率はIVH、BMI、NSTについては約5割にとどまり、半数以上の略語が20%以下であった。高カロリー輸液製剤に含まれる栄養成分を理解している医師は50%以下で、経腸栄養剤の特徴は一部を除き10%以下の正答率であった。1回目に比べ2回目にはアンケート回答数が増加し、多くの項目で正答率の上昇傾向がみられた (有意差なし)。【結論】スタッフの栄養に関する基本知識の理解度は低かった。NSTセミナーで臨床栄養の重要性を啓蒙することで、栄養に対する興味や知識の理解度は向上すると考えられた。

18歳~21歳 (平均19.8歳) の健康成人男子ボランティア5名により, 勃起時に露出型関電極酸素電極法による静脈洞内脱分極電流値変動と陰茎周径変化を同時記録し, 勃起各相における両者の関係を確認した後, 以下の2つのイヌ実験モデルを用いた検討をおこなった.第1番目のイヌ実験モデルでは, 静脈洞内に各種注入速度で血液を灌流し, この際に生じる脱分極電流値変動を露出型関電極 (八木式) で記録し, 脱分極電流値が, 静脈洞内へ流入する動脈血の流入速度に対応した変動を示すことを確認した. 次いで, 第2番目のイヌ実験モデルでは, 陰茎モデルを作製し, ヒト陰茎において確認された勃起各相の静脈洞内脱分極電流値変動と陰茎周径変化の関係を陰茎モデルにて再現した. これら, 再現時の陰茎モデル血液流出路および血液流入路の状態は, ヒト陰茎における勃起各相の血流動態に一致すると考えられ, 以下の結果が得られた.1) 弛緩状態にあるヒト陰茎海綿体静脈洞内には, 少量の血液が流入しているにすぎなかった.2) ヒト陰茎勃起 tumescence phase では, 陰茎海綿体静脈洞への流入血液量が急激増加した. またこの phase では, 流入血液量の増加にともない, 静脈洞からの流出血液量も増加した.3) ヒト陰茎勃起 erection phase では, 血液流出路の受動的閉塞による流入血液量への抵抗が静脈洞への流入血液量を徐々に減少させた. しかし流入血液量と流出血液量が等しくなった時点で安定し, この値は非勃起時よりも高値であった.4) ヒト陰茎勃起 detumescence phase は, 陰茎海綿体静脈洞への流入血液量の減少が生じるとともに, 血液流出路に生じた閉塞が解除され, 流出血液量が増加した.
