本稿の目的は、アリエスらを中心とした西欧の社会史研究のインパクトを受けて始動した日本の家族社会学における近代家族論が、その後どのように展開してきたのかを考察することを通して、近代家族の成果と課題を明らかにすることである。日本の近代家族論は、第一段階の「概念生成期」(1985~90年)、第二段階の「論争期」(1990~2000年)、第三段階の「停滞期」(2000~2005年)と推移し、「近代家族」は近代国民国家とパラレルに成立したこと、「近代家族」にはヴァリエーションがあることなどの知見を共有化してきた。現在、第四段階(2005年~)の「脱構築期」を迎えているが、その契機となったのは、近代家族論をセクシュアリティ論の接合であった。近代家族論を脱構築するための一つの可能性として、セクシュアリティの視点から近代家族の情緒化プロセスにアプローチする研究を行う必要があると考えられる。

We recently found that 10.5% of sporadic Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients lacked one copy of the midnolin (MIDN) gene. In addition, gene knock-down/out of MIDN caused down-regulation of parkin E3 ubiquitin ligase, indicating MIDN to be a novel PD-risk factor or causative gene. In this study, we performed RNA-sequencing and transcriptome analysis of Midn wild-type and knockout cells. Midn positively or negatively regulated the expression of a wide variety of genes, including causative familial PD genes, such as α-synuclein, parkin, and EIF4G1. However, EIF4G1 protein levels were not altered by the reduction of its mRNA by Midn loss, as seen that parkin protein levels were correlated to the mRNA down-regulation. Taken together, these findings indicate that MIDN regulates the expression of a wide variety of genes, including multiple PD-causative genes and is associated with PD onset.

The traditional concept of racemates means an exactly 1:1 mixture of two enantiomeric molecules. Modern analytical and catalytic/preparative discoveries, first of all the Soai-reaction, make necessary a re-evaluation of this concept. The most important aspect of such a revision is the definition of the amount of an excess of one or of the other enantiomer, originating from statistical fluctuation, which can still be "tolerated" when a substance is defined as racemate. The present paper discusses the statistical view of racemates and some related problems.

症例は73歳男性.排便時の肛門部痛を主訴に来院した.直腸Rb部に直径4cm大の一部黒色を呈する隆起性病変を認め,肝転移をともない,直腸肛門部悪性黒色腫(Stage IV)と診断された.dacarbazine,nimustine,cisplatin,tamoxifenによる多剤併用化学療法(DAC-Tam療法)に加えinterferon-βの局所投与を施行したところ,1コース終了時には疼痛の消失と原発巣の縮小,肝転移の消失を認めた.計6コース施行後に,直腸腫瘍からの出血コントロールに対する放射線治療を併用した.化学療法を合計8コース施行し,初回治療開始後24カ月経過した現在も生存中である.

Phylogenetic analyses using mitochondrial DNA sequences of several kinds of beetles have shown that their evolution included a silent stage in which no morphological changes took place. We thus propose a new category of evolutionary process called “silent evolution”.

地域固有の特性を持つ資源を活用する地域観光政策には地域比較が可能な観光統計,訪問地や訪問数を含め正確に情報を収集すること,さらには観光客数など統計精度を高め,調査することが現在の課題である.本論文では観光統計を概観し,その利用方法を紹介する.また,観光イベントの波及効果には地域産業連関分析が頻繁に利用されていることから,2000年地域産業連関表の旅館・その他の宿泊所の部門の評価を行う.この生産額について全国表と都道府県表の合計値を比較すると−1.46%の乖離率となり,都道府県表の作成の精度は比較的高い.一方で移輸入,移輸出は乖離が大きく,推計に課題を残している.次に新しく調査方法が整備された宿泊旅行統計のデータを用いて,地域別波及効果を分析した.3億938万人の宿泊客は3兆8417億円の直接効果がある.その結果,各都道府県での効果を合算すると7兆234億円であり,部門別の波及効果は旅館・その他の宿泊所へ大きく影響する.

(Purpose)We Studied the diagnosis and surgical management of suprascapular nerve entrapment neuropathy in athletes.(Materials and methods)Eighteen patients with infraspinatus muscle atrophy were studied. Fourteen were men and 4 women. Their mean age was 27 (range 14 to 40) years. The diagnosis was confirmed by physical and electromyographic examinations. As an ancillary test, MRIs of the shoulder joint were obtained. Those patients with rotator cuff tear were excluded from this study.(Results)Electromyographic examinations showed an abnormality in 8 patients. Two of them had isolated paralysis of the infraspinatus muscle. We operated on 4 patients with suprascapular nerve entrapment. We performed a release of the superior scapular transverse ligament on 2 patients with paralysis of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles, a shaving of the spinoglenoid notch on a patient with isolated paralysis of the infraspinatus muscle and removed the ganglion cyst in 1. All the patients had good results, however, they needed 1 or 2 years to recover from paralysis.(Conclusion)Early diagnosis and treatment are important for the management of suprascapular nerve entrapment neuropathy in athletes.

アルロース(プシコース)は,脂肪蓄積抑制作用を持つことが報告されており,現代社会において問題視される肥満を予防・改善する甘味料として期待されている.本技術開発は,Lobry de Bruyn-Alberda van Ekensteinの転位反応として知られるアルカリ異性化反応を利用したアルロース等の希少糖を含むシロップの製造方法を確立した.この方法によって得られた希少糖含有シロップの糖組成を定量分析によって明らかにし,生理活性試験を行った.ラットでの8週間摂取試験では,内臓脂肪蓄積抑制が確認された.さらに,軽度肥満(BMI25以上30未満)を含む健常成人34名を対象にした12週間長期摂取試験を行った結果,ヒトにおける体脂肪低減効果が明らかとなった.現在,α-グルコシダーゼ阻害作用や食後血糖上昇抑制作用に関して,鋭意研究を進めている.本製品は,砂糖や異性化糖等と同様に甘味料として使用することが可能であり,2012年の販売開始から現在までに800以上の食品に採用されている.

Since the Thacher-Reagan-Nakasone Era of the 1980s, the liberal economic ideas of the 'Austrian School' have been on the tongues of politicians all over the world. For a deep understanding of this intellectual tradition, however, we must bear in mind that it has a history of more than one hundred years since Carl Menger published his seminal work, Grundsatze der Volkswirtshaftslehre. After a very short discussion on the methodology of intellectual history (Section 1), I explore the school's origins in the old Austria under the Habsburg Monarchy. I find that the most important development in this tradition was the emergence of a fundamental liberalism during the turbulent years after 1918 (Section 2). Ludwig von Mises was the sole innovator of this tradition. I examine Mises' position in Austrian post-war economic policy in Section 3, using evidence from his contemporaries as well as financial statistics. In Section 4, I summarize his criticism of socialism and defense of liberalism. In the last section, I conclude that Mises' fundamental liberalism was the expression of the dissipation of the social basis for a viable political liberalism in the unstable Austrian Republics. However, the purification performed by Mises provided the liberal ideas of the 'Austrians' with a new vigor that enabled them to migrate to the United States.
