Digital Fabrication has become familiar to ordinary people, but making data for digital tools such as a Laser cutter using CAD is difficult for beginners. We developed an easy to learn and accurate CAD interface for tablet “Drafter” based on stationary metaphor. We compared Drafter and present CADs by experiments consisting of both drawing part and questionnaire part. The drawing part showed that Drafter is easier to learn than present CADs, has the same accuracy as present CADs. The questionnaire part showed that Drafter has the same accuracy as present CADs, and is better at usability than present CADs.

A long flexible shaft such as a lance tube in a soot blower or a drill string in a rotary drilling system exhibits friction-induced vibration resulting in a whirling motion. This paper investigates the whirling motion of a long flexible shaft induced by frictional force and examines the effect of an intermediate support position on the whirling motion. The experimental apparatus investigated has a vertical shaft which rotates at a constant speed by means of an electric motor mounted at the top of the shaft. At the bottom end of the shaft is located a rubber ring so that frictional force acts on the tip of the shaft when the shaft is deflected. Comparing experimental and calculated results we clarify the vibration characteristics, such as whirling frequencies and amplitudes, at various rotational speeds and show the effective position of an intermediate support to suppress shaft vibration.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between early adult attachment styles, self-perceptions and other's-perceptions (participants' impressions from their close friends) in friendships, and also to examine the effects of attachment styles and discrepancies between participants and their friends in terms of self-perceptions on evaluations of their relationships. Participants, 210 undergraduates, were asked to pair with their same-sex close friend in class and answered several questions. Results showed that "avoidance" attachment dimension was generally negatively related to positive self-perceptions in friendships. Also, similar tendencies were obtained on other's-perceptions. Moreover, the discrepancies between participants and their friends in terms of evaluations of their relationships increased as "avoidance" dimension increased. These results suggest that "avoidance" dimension is related to low levels of adjustment in the friendships. In addition, the discrepancies between self-perceptions of "sociability" were positively and those of "attractiveness" were negatively related to the discrepancies between evaluations of relationships.

GLP-1およびGIPは共に血糖依存的にインスリンを分泌させる他、様々な臓器で多様な作用を持ち糖代謝に深く関与している消化管ホルモンである。本研究では栄養組成の違いがネコのインクレチン分泌におよぼす影響について検討することを目的とした。日本獣医生命科学大学で飼育管理されている健常猫5頭に、コントロール食、高炭水化物食、高脂肪食、高繊維食の4種を給与し、血糖値、インスリン濃度およびインクレチン濃度を測定した。GLP-1濃度変動は4種の食事で差はなかった。この結果は、ヒトでは炭水化物と脂質がGLP-1分泌に大きく影響をおよぼしているという報告とは異なるものであった。これはネコの食性や消化管構造の違いによる影響と考えられた。一方、GIP濃度変動はコントロール食と比較し高脂肪食で有意に高値を示した。また、食事中の脂肪含量が多いほどGIP濃度も高値を示した。本研究により、ネコにおいて栄養組成の違いがGIP分泌におよぼす影響について明らかとなったが、GLP-1分泌については今後さらなる検討が必要である。

糖尿病猫はしばしば感染症に罹患しやすいといわれており、またストレス性の高血糖を生じやすく、血糖値を降下させるのも不得手な動物種である。このような特性をもつ猫の糖尿病管理においては、血糖コントロールを悪化させる原因が数々存在するため、糖尿病猫の入院管理は時に困難をともなう。そこで本学に来院した、慢性感染症を併発した猫、入院によるストレスで血糖コントロールが困難となった猫、食事変更が必要となった猫について、その問題と対策について検討した。症例によってストレスを感じる事象は様々あり、その対処も大きく異なるものであった。同時に、院内で起こる特有の問題からの学びもあり、退院後の自宅でのケアに生かすことができた。病院という制限ある集団管理においても、可能な限りその個別性を大切に、それぞれに合った生活環境を整える工夫ができるかが動物看護師の重要な仕事であると考える。

教育拡大にもかかわらず教育達成の階層差が持続的であるという事実は,何らかの特定要因や単一メカニズムに依拠した説明が無効であることを示唆している.この講演では,教育不平等に関する計量社会学的研究での,ハビトゥス概念を用いた因果的探求の可能性について論じている.まず,ブルデューの「構造的因果性」の概念に立ち返り,それが近年の社会学の文献にみられる「基本的原因」や「根本的因果性」の考えと同じであることを示した.その見方によるなら,ハビトゥスは社会的条件付によって諸実践に差異をつくりだすメタ・メカニズムとして解釈することができる.その観点から,多重的影響を包含した社会空間アプローチについて説明し,例としてPISA2009日本データの分析結果を提示した.さらに,意志決定において埋没費用が問題となるように,教育的選択においても個人の無意識や過去からの慣性が重要な役割を演じていることを論じた.
