本稿では,参議院選挙をとりあげ,愛知県を事例どして選挙結果の空間的分布とその変化を示すとともに,社会・経済的地域特性との関連を定量的に謝した. (1) まず,選挙繰では,投票率ま,第7回(1965年)・第10回(1974年)選挙とも,農山村部で高く,都市部で低かった.政党別得票率をみると,第7回選挙では保守と革新の得票分布の違いが明瞭で,自民党は農山村部で高い得票率を示し,他政党は都市部で高かった.第10回選挙になると,自民・社会両党の得票が都市部で減少し,共産党・公明党が都市部で増加,民社党が労働組合の支持変更のため急増した. (2) 次いで, 1965・75年における社会・経済的地域特性を因子分析により要約した. (3) 投票率,政党別得票率を従属変数, (2) で得られた因子得点を独立変数として重回帰分析を行なった結果,両者には密接かつ有意な関係のあることが判明した.

混雑中の公共交通機関において,立ち続けることは疲労と退屈さを感じさせる.しかし,通勤・通学時には時間や路線の制約から常に座席に座ることは難しく,無理に座ろうとするとマナーの問題が発生する.筆者らは以前,積極的に立ち続ける動機を与える手法として,加速度センサを用いてユーザの立ち座りを判別し,立ち続けることに対する報酬として育成ゲーム上のキャラクタを成長させるエンタテインメントシステムを提案・実装した.本稿では,実際の通学環境におけるシステムの有効性評価実験を行った.その結果,座席がほぼ埋まっている程度の混雑時において,ユーザを積極的に立ち続けさせる効果があることがわかった.In crowded public transportation such as buses, trains and so on, standing passengers feel fatigue and boringness. However, if they would occupy the seats in buses or trains at any times, it might cause moral hazard. To solve the problematic situation, we had proposed an entertainment system to motivate users to stand. In the proposed system, they have their own avatars, and the avatars grow up while their owners stand in buses or trains. The system discriminates whether an user is standing or not with an accelerometer. In this paper, we conducted an experimentation to evaluate the effectiveness of the system practically. As a result, it is found that the system can motivate participants to stand in buses or trains when their seats are almost occupied.

ヴァルター・ベンヤミンやアビ・ヴァールブルクといった思想家たちが草稿などにおいて用いた、学術的言語表現と図像との中間的存在であるダイアグラムについて比較研究を行ない、徴候的知の表われとしてのダイアグラムが共通して有する規則性やその文化的背景を分析した。また、W・G・ゼーバルトの小説に数多く挿入されている写真を一種のダイアグラムとして考察し、それらが徴候的知としての歴史的記憶を喚起していることを明らかにした。

The ends of eukaryotic linear chromosomes are protected from undesired enzymatic activities by a nucleoprotein complex called the telomere. Expanding evidence indicates that telomeres have central functions in human aging and tumorigenesis. While it is undoubtedly important to follow current advances in telomere biology, it is also fruitful to be well informed in seminal historical studies for a comprehensive understanding of telomere biology, and for the anticipation of future directions. With this in mind, I here summarize the early history of telomere biology and current advances in the field, mostly focusing on mammalian studies relevant to aging and cancer.

高照度光療法は、1980年代にスウェーデンの医師が世界で初めて有効性を報告した治療法である。目の網膜から一定量の強い光を取り込み、脳の中枢部にある睡眠ホルモンのメラトニンを抑制することによって生体リズムを整える治療法で、概日リズム睡眠障害やうつ病に効果があるとされている。今回、気分の落ち込み、睡眠や生活リズムの乱れが原因で就学への支障を自覚した学生に対し、高照度光療法を行い著効したと考えられる2事例について報告する。

This paper describes results of an exploratory study to investigate the capability of a passive approach for controlling the characteristic spanwise length of Görtler vortices generated in hypersonic flows: a serrated leading edge. Heat transfer, pressure measurements, encapsulated thermochromic liquid crystal, schlieren and glow spark visualizations were conducted with a flat plate/ramp model whose leading edge had a triangular wave shape in a gun tunnel at Mach number 10. Effect of wavelength Λ of the triangular waves on downstream flows was studied. Aerodynamic heating patterns observed with the liquid crystal confirmed that the vortex wavelength was equal to Λ. This was also supported by the spark results that filamentary bright lines perpendicular to an installed line-anode parallel to the spanwise direction at the ramp surface emerged at intervals of Λ. Phase lag was observed only between heat transfer data measured in the spanwise direction, which suggests that the vortex structure existed in the reattaching boundary layers. Pressure distribution in the streamwise direction was similar among all of the Λ tested. In contrast, the heat transfer data points exhibited a large scatter and the peak heating value for the finite Λ was somewhat larger than that for the infinite Λ. Schlieren results indicated that the appropriate Λ can mitigate flow separation.

【目的】非特異的慢性腰痛を有する患者に対する痛みの神経生理学に基づいた患者教育(pain neurophysiology education;以下,PNE)の効果を検討することを目的とした。【方法】英語・日本語の無作為化比較試験を対象として2015年6月5日までの系統的検索を行った。バイアスのリスクの評価にはPhysiotherapy Evidence Database スケールを用いた。データの統合は記述的に行われた。【結果】6 編の英語論文が低いバイアスのリスクを示した。PNE が他の患者教育よりも効果的であるという明確なエビデンスはなかった。また,PNE と他の介入を併用した際に効果が減弱する可能性が示唆された。【結論】PNE を用いる場合は,患者特性と他の介入との相性を考慮する必要がある。将来の研究はこの研究で明らかになった方法論的欠点を解消し,PNE の効果についてより質の高いエビデンスを提示する必要がある。

本研究では、色彩刺激が、心理と生理に及ぼす効果について明らかにすることを目的とした。色相・明度・彩度と面積の違う合計60試料を作成し、光色刺激による、自律・中枢神経活動を評価するための指標として、心拍変動と脳波の測定行った。心理評価として、SD法による因子分析を行った。実験の結果、以下のような知見が得られた。・開眼状態であっても、α波含有量が後頭部位において顕著に喚起されていた。・小さい面積条件では、光色刺激のCuv^★が、高値になるほど、心理評価の「活動性因子」を高め、α波含有量を抑制することが示喚された。・大きい面積条件では、光色刺激のHuv°が、高値になると後頭部位において、α波含有量を喚起することが示喚された。・感情や情操に関わりのある、前頭部位において、純色、低彩度の光色刺激で、色相のG-P系で、α波成分に1/fゆらぎがみられた。副交感神経活動側に傾いていて、1/fゆらぎを示している光色刺激は、大きい面積条件では、純色赤(5R5/14)・青紫(5PB4/12)、小さい面積条件では、純色黄赤(5YR7/14)・高明度青(5B8/5)であった。生体が安静状態であり、快適に感じているということが、示喚される。・交感神経活動側に傾いていて、1/fゆらぎを示している光色刺激は、生体がよい意味で興奮状態であり、快適に感じているということが示喚された。
