The 64thAnnual Scientific Sessions and Exposition of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) were held at the San Diego Convention Center from March 14–16, 2015. The ACC Scientific Sessions are 1 of 2 major scientific cardiology meetings in the United States, with nearly 20,000 attendees, including 15,000 cardiovascular professionals. There were over 2,100 oral and poster abstracts, and more than 15 late-breaking clinical trials (LBCTs) abstructs. This report presents the highlights and several key presentations, especially the LBCTs, from the ACC Scientific Sessions 2015. I hope this review will help cardiologists update to the latest information.

近年,ハンドヘルドデバイスが子供たちの学習において重要な役割を果たすことが期待されている.また,ハンドヘルドデバイスのようなモバイル性の高いデバイスを利用して協調学習をいかに支援するかは,CSCL(Computer Support for Collaborative Learning)の重要な研究テーマになりつつある.一方,日本においては,学習指導要領の改訂により始まる「総合学習」に対応した教育システムの構築が求められている.そこで,我々は「総合学習」の場として注目されている博物館において,2台のPDA (Personal Digital Assistant)を連携させ,展示物に関連するクイズを協力しながら解くことによって子供たちの学習を支援する,Musexと呼ばれるシステムを構築した.実際の博物館においてMusexの実験を行い,その効果について考察した.

これまでに, 共役リノール酸 (CLA) は, 発がん抑制, 体脂肪低減をはじめとする多彩な生理機能を示すことが動物実験により明らかにされ, その作用機序についてもある程度明らかにされてきている。中でも, 体脂肪低減作用はヒトでも有効性が報告され, とくに注目されている。CLAはリノール酸 (実際にはサフラワー油など) をアルカリ異性化して調製される。この方法では9c, 11t-18 : 2と10t12c18 : 2の2種類のCLA異性体がほぼ1 : 1の割合で生成する。市販のCLAもこの方法で調製されている。 CLAの生理機能は異性体によって異なり, 9c, 11t-8 : 2が発がん抑制など限られた効果しか示さないのに対し, 10t12c18 : 2は体脂肪低減を含む多彩な生理機i能を発揮する。CLAは天然には9c, 11t8 : 2として牛肉や乳製品に微量 (5mg/g脂質程度) 存在するが, これらは量的にも重要な供給源とはならない。10t12c-異性体の体脂肪低減作用を期待してCLAサプリメントが国内外で市販されている。最近, CLAを配合した加工食品も市場に出始め, 機能性素材として, CLAは新たな局面を迎えている。

Peter Rabbit's popularity extends back to the first privately printed edition in 1902 and forward to the present day. What are the reasons for this enduring popularity? Numerous perspectives exist from which this question can be accurately addressed, among them the brilliance of Potter's artistic talent combined with her scientific knowledge, the blend of imagination and realism, the radical qualities of Potter's deceptively simple stories like ambiguous endings, and the pull of her poetic, yet restrained prose. In this paper I also propose another perspective from which to examine the instant and enduring popularity in the contemporary age, one that focuses the relationship between her works and environment-the ecocritical perspective. A close comparison of her works with Wordsworth's reveals that they are designed to move readers to actively engage in dialogues with nonhumans and to become advocates of conservation of the delicate balance created by the community of creatures and plants that share and maintain a habitat like the Lake District's.

遊戯療法の一つである箱庭療法は、人間の深層心理を探るために重要な両方であるが、一般に行うためには機材を買い揃えるコストがかかってしまうため、容易に行うことが難しい。本研究では粒子ベースの箱庭療法シミュレーションによって、コンピュータ上で容易に箱庭療法を体験できることを目標とする。
