A 2-year-old male mixed dog was referred to us for further evaluation and treatment of a 4-week-history of oliguria and abdominal distension after a surgical repair of urethral injury. To relieve the urethral stricture, we placed a self-expanding aortic stent graft extension with a partial coverage with an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). After the placement of the stent, the dog presented with a normal urinary voiding, despite the presence of urinary incontinence. The current case indicates that the ePTFE-covered, self-expanding ASGE is an effective intervention for the treatment of severe urethral stricture in the dog.

Die Weltanschauung der Romantik entwickelte sich aus dem Bewusstsein uber die Spaltung zwischen Natur und Geist. Aus der Krise. die dieses Bewusstsein hervorrief, wollten die Romantiker die Harmonie zwischen Natur und Leben wiederherstellen. Heutzutage sind wir uns der Spaltung noch deutlicher bewusst. Dic Frage nach einer neuen Beziehung zwischen Natur und Mensch ist deshalb immer noch aktuell : wir versuchen, die Natur als seelichen Heilungsort zuruckzugewinnen. Wenn Oskar Becker die Natur als Hauptthema selnes Denkens aufgreift, stutzt er sich auf die romantische produktive Natur (natura naturans). Alle Probleme der Menschen und der Schonheit konne man von seiten des heideggerschen Daseins, d.h. von seiten des Geistes, nicht umfassend genug begreifen. Erst wenn der Begriff "des Dawesen", d.h. der Begriff der Natur, eingefuhrt werde, konnten diese Probleme erortert werden. Das Schone sei eine hinfallige Brucke der Spannung, gleichsam ein Regenbogen, der sich uber beide antagonistischen Seinsprinzipien streckt. Diese "Hinfalligkeit des Schonen" schwebt zwischen dem statisch-asthetischen Idealismus Schellings der dynamisch-ironischen Dialektik Solgers. Von diescn zwei romantischen Philosophen beeinflusst, schatzt Becker die Romantik neuein. Mit ihm finden wir vielleicht ein Tor. durch das wir der romantischen Naturanschauung aufs Neue wieder bcgegnen konnen.

本研究課題では日本、中国、韓国に残る装飾料紙を使用した書の作品について、その書の特徴の詳細を調査・データ化するとともに、料紙の科学的分析を行なうことを目的として、まずは国内外の関連作品のデータ収集を行ない、そのうち約200件の調査を実施した。それらの調査結果はデジタルデータで蓄積し、東京国立博物館での陳列に活用しながら、研究成果報告書を作成し公開している。

本研究は、作成年代の明記のない紙を素材とする文化財(文書・典籍・聖教・絵図)の年代推定について、非破壊調査である光学的観察によって行う方法論を確立することである。そのため、これらの文化財特に文書の原本の料紙を所蔵機関に出向いて調査を行った。その主なものは、東寺百合文書(京都府立総合資料館)・上杉家文書(米沢市上杉博物館)・東大寺文書(東大寺図書館)・醍醐寺文書(醍醐寺)・東福寺文書(東福寺)・津軽家文書(国立国文学研究資料館)で、合計1万点ほどの調書を採った。また、前近代の文書等の料紙について、本研究グループが推定した製法で実際にその紙ができるのか確かめるために、高知県紙産業技術センターの協力を得て、大高檀紙の吊り干し製作等、前近代文書料紙の復元製作実験を行った。さらに、中国唐代以前の紙と日本の奈良時代のそれとの繋がり、宋代以降の紙と日本のそれとの関わりを考えるため、中国・韓国を訪問し、文書・聖教の料紙を調査した。その結果、まず成果として確認できたことは、前漢時代の紙は文字を書く素材としては未熟であるが、繊維を水中に拡散させ簀で漉き上げるという製法は製紙と同じ技法であること、蔡倫以後の紙は筆記用の素材として優れたものであること、宋代以降の宣紙・竹紙の白さと滑らかさは江戸期の製紙に与えた影響が大きいと思われること、等を確認できた。日本の文書等料紙の変遷としては、奈良時代の麻紙・楮紙、平安時代から南北朝時代の檀紙・引合、室町時代の杉原紙・強杉原、桃山時代から江戸時代の大高檀紙・奉書紙・美濃紙、南北朝時代と戦国時代の斐紙、戦国時代以降の椏紙等のそれぞれの時代の特徴的な料紙を捉えることができた。また、戦国時代の関東武士の発給文書の料紙は前時代に対し特異であり、それが江戸時代の製紙に与えた影響については、改めて考える必要があることが分かってきた。これらの成果は、料紙の時代判定の基準として充分に使えるものである。

古代中世の文書料紙の歴史的変遷について、文献史料によって検討を加えてみると、檀紙・引合・杉原紙・鳥の子等の紙種が観察される。平安時代の文書料紙は、重要な公文書には紙屋紙が公紙として用いられていた。他方、軽微な文書や私文書などの料紙には、地方産の楮紙である檀紙が使用されていた。平安後期になると、檀紙が粗悪な紙屋紙を駆逐し、重要な公文書の料紙となるのである。鎌倉時代にはいると、京都においては、檀紙が公紙として発展し、大きく高檀紙と普通の檀紙とに分化する。後期には、普通の檀紙のうちから良質のものが引合と呼ばれ、上級貴族・僧侶の書状料紙として用いられた。鎌倉においては、幕府の下文・下知状等には御下文紙(後の鎌倉紙)が用いられ、他方幕府の御教書や武士の書状などには杉原紙が盛んに使用された。建武新政以後、関東武士が京都に大挙常住すると、鎌倉の紙使いが京に持込まれ、また武家が京都の紙使いの影響を受け、互いに混淆し合う。公家・寺社においては、高檀紙から大高檀紙・小高檀紙の種別が現れ、近世の大鷹檀紙・小鷹檀紙への繋がり見えてくる。武家では、幕府文書の料紙の主役から鎌倉紙が消え、その地位は普通の杉原紙に取って代られる。後期には、書礼様文書の料紙としては、公武ともに引合や鳥の子を使用し始める。高檀紙は、秀吉の朱印状・判物の料紙に繋がっていき、また、この時期に現れる奉書紙は、引合の系譜を引く文書と言われる。また、古代中世の現存の文書料紙から検討すると、料紙の縦寸法・横寸法・縦横比率・厚さ・密度・簀目本数・糸目巾の時代的変遷を跡付けることができた。また、これらの共通の画期が室町時代と確認され、杉原紙の普及との関係が浮き彫りにされた。これらの研究成果は、まだ中間報告の域を出ないが、今後もこの研究体制を維持し、別の形で研究を続けていくことにより、この試論的成果を検証・訂正したいと思う。

Kuma River of the Kumamoto Prefecture is famous in producing “ayu, ” Plecoglossus altivelis, of good quality, due to the suitable environmental conditions. Quite recently, however, utilization of the stream for the sake of generation of electricity necessitated to erect the darn of 34 meter high at the down stream in order to construct water reservoir. The Prefectural Government started the works last year and the dam. which is not provided any fish ways has been completed on 10 th of December, 1954, shutting up completely the passway of the anadromous fishes especially.Consequently, complains of fishermen and inhabitants of the upper streams opposing to the policy of the Government paying no attention for fish culture, especially to keep good name of Kuma River in “ayu” fishing, became furious. In order to solve this hard problems, viz, electricity nor fishing industry, authorities of the Government promissed to liberate large number of “ayu” fry in the upper streams per year, to meet the both ends.This attempts has been fulfilled for the first time in the spring ot the present year since, fries of sea-run form caught at the estuary of Kuma River and other parts in Kiushu as well as dwarf land-locked form of the Lake Biwa and Ikeda being libertated in the main and branch streams of Kuma River.In the present paper are shown morphological differences between sea-run form of “ayu, ” grown at the both sides of the dam; effect of suitable baits upon development of land-locked dwarf form of “ayu” originated in the Lake Ikeda ; distinction between sea-run form and land-locked form of “ayu” after fattening, from the stand-point of scale figurations, etc.

Purpose of this study was to develop the Japanese version of the Values In Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS). Japanese VIA-IS was back-translated, and their items were checked by the developers of the original VIA-IS. Participants in our standardization study were 778 undergraduate students who answered a battery of self-report questionnaires. The battery consisted of the Japanese versions of VIA-IS, Subjective Happiness Scale, General Health Questionnaire, and NEO Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI). It was found that VIA-IS has high internal consistency and test-retest reliability. Happier people showed higher overall scores on VIA-IS and on almost all subscales both in men and women. Scores on VIA-IS were higher in the healthier group than in the unhealthy group, especially on the subscales of depression and impediment of social activities. Subscales of NEO-FFI were related to subscales of VIA-IS in a consistent way. High nomination groups showed significantly higher scores on eight subscales of VIA-IS than low nomination groups.

ソフトウェアの開発手法であるオブジェクト指向プログラミングは,手続き型のプログラミングに慣れている人にとっても敷居の高い手法であると言われている。しかしながら,ミッションクリティカルな基幹業務システムや大規模システムの開発には,オブジェクト指向開発がますます使用される傾向にある。その理由は,堅牢でバグの無いしっかりしたプログラムが作れ,長期のメンテナンスが容易であるということである。そのような用途に向いた手法なので,オブジェクト指向の学習教材は,企業情報システムを例題として使うことが多い。しかしながら教育の立場からすると,オブジェクト指向という考え方を,よく知らないシステムを例題にして解説することになり,少しもわかりやすい具体例になっていない。そこで,プログラミングの教材(対象)を,手続き型で書ける簡単なゲームとすることで,オブジェクト指向の学習に集中できるようになる。この論文では,オブジェクト指向モデルを動的言語でプロトタイプ開発しながら設計する手法を,じゃんけんゲームを例にして紹介する。モデリングはUMLを使ってトップダウン的に設計するので,やや抽象的になってしまい初心者にはとっつきにくい。その部分は,初心者にわかりやすい具体的なオブジェクト図から抽象化して,クラス図を導くことにした。
