Human beings have a double aspect: one is that of a patient and the other is that of an agent. With this aspect in mind, I try to consider evil, violence and injustice from a view of feminism as critique of violence. In considering this theme, one of the most important legacies of liberal vocabularies seems to reemerge. That is the right to resist. I propose a question. Does contemporary liberalism take this legacy seriously in the face of evil, violence and injustice these days, especially after the 9.11 and the war on Iraq With this question in mind, I rely on Judith Shklar's insights. Firstly, her “liberalism of fear” as a political doctrine is important for my purpose because it takes human beings as sentient beings seriously in comparison with an orthodox and “robust” liberalism. Secondly, her argument about “a sense of injustice”, which is based upon a distinction between misfortune and injustice, is also suggestive. I also rely on Yayo Okano's insight, which follows Shklar's arguments and develops them further. She emphasizes the importance of “doing justice after the violence” and tries to reconsider “restorative justice.” I regard Judith Herman' s Trauma and Recovery and many efforts following this innovative work as one of the various ways of “doing justice” or “restorative justice.” While I evaluate their ways of “doing justice”, they seem problematic. Their problematic points consist in their therapeutically institutionalizing disposition. How can contemporary “robust” liberalism consider “doing justice” or “restorative justice” with taking the right to resist seriously and without yielding to this problematic way The answer depends on whether it can take its legacy seriously in our flat battlefield.

前頭葉起源の自動症を呈する2例を報告した.共通した自動症の臨床的特徴は,(1) 開始, 終了が突然である,(2) 発作時間が短い,(3) 動作停止ないし凝視期がない,(4) 腹臥位になり四肢および体幹を激しく不規則に動かす, うなり声ないし悲鳴様の大きな発声を伴うあるいは急に走りだすことがある,(5) 群発する傾向をもつ,(6) 発作時に意識が保たれていることがあり, 発作直後より意識は清明である,(7) 難治性である,(8) 偽性てんかんと誤診されやすい, などであった.自動症時の脳波は激しい運動活動のためartifactのみしか捉えられなかった.自動症開始直前に前頭部, 前頭極部の低振幅律動性速波を認め, また直後の脳波所見は覚醒閉眼時で両側前頭部, 前頭極部に高振幅徐波を認め, 同時に後頭部を中心にα波を認めた.これらの脳波所見は発作の中心が両側前頭葉に限局し, 他の部位に波及しなかったことを示唆するものと考えられた.

寿司店で提供されている13-31日間長期熟成したカンパチ,アオリイカ,マカジキおよびシマアジの熟成前後における呈味成分とテクスチャーの変化を検討した。その結果,イノシン酸(IMP)含量,硬さ,水分含量および圧搾ドリップ率が低下し,遊離アミノ酸含量は増加していた。またK値は46.7-76.5%を示し,SDS-PAGEによるタンパク質分解が観察された。本研究結果は,熟成魚介類が鮮度を重視する既存の生食用魚介類の知見とは大きく異なる特徴を有し,新たな水産食品として利用できる可能性を示唆した。

本論文では,日本でも社会的ニーズが高まっている遺族のブリーフケアの今日的意義を見直し,特に喪失悲嘆が強いとされる「子どもとの死別」を取り上げ,死別後に生じる心理・社会的問題とそのグリーフケアのあり方について,国内外の文献から考察した.子どもを亡くした家族のグリーフケアにおいては,当事者の喪の過程における心理的問題だけでなく,喪失によって引き起こされる家族システムの問題や,遺された兄弟姉妹への影響,悲嘆の重症化や慢性化に関連する心身医学的問題などにも対応していく多角的な視点が必要である.グリーフケアとは何か,ブリーフケアを行う際の注意点,今後の死別研究の課題について言及した.

Erwin Toku Baelz (1889-1945), the eldest son of Erwin Baelz, the man who contributed to the development of modern medicine in Japan, adapted and directed the fifth and sixth acts of a kabuki play Kanadehon Chushingura, and staged a German kabuki play named Death of Kampei (German title: Sampei's Sühnenopfer) in Berlin in 1938, enacted by the students of a drama school affiliated to Deutsches Theater. Although the performance was staged by German actors in German, the script was mainly based on joruri, a Japanese dramatic narrative; furthermore, other elements such as narrations, the way the actors delivered their lines, the acting, costumes, stage props and stage equipment were made close to those of genuine kabuki. It is considered that this was the first such trial in Europe before World War II. This paper describes the background to the performance of the German kabuki, the performance on the stage, the public response and critics, mainly based on primary sources, obtained from the Federal Archives in Koblenz.

<p>This study is a result of an analysis of data collected by participatory observation of international student labor at a Japanese pub (izakaya Z) located in downtown Tokyo between October 1and November 31, 2017. The purpose of this study is to figure out why working places with poor conditions in the downtown area hire international students as their part-time workers, how they work under harsh working environment. The observation showed that international student part-time workers, especially those who receive almost no money from their home countries, need a certain level of fixed income every month to live in Japan, and izakaya Z satisfied their desired income by offering working hour assurance system. In other words, the stability of income and relatively bad working conditions are exchanged. International student part-time workers deliberately slow down their working speed to resist discrimination in the workplace, pretending not to be able to understand Japanese. While emphasizing the spirit of hospitality, the Japanese manager at izakaya Z forced international student part-time workers to aware of the process of work by themselves without a detailed explanation, complaining that the workers would ignore his instruction if they are too fluent in speaking Japanese. Behind this situation, there was a structural labor shortage problem which makes service industry companies hire international student labor.</p>
