This study focuses on letters of the well-known theologian Seiichi Hatano from around 1945 that clarify his perception of society and of the times. It becomes clear through this study that one side of Hatano was that of an “old liberalist” who had great pride in the Meiji era.

Recently, the development of the support robot for daily life has been required under the impact of falling birthrate and the aging population. We have developed a meal assistance robot for disabled or elderly person who cannot take a meal by themselves. In this paper, a system of chopsticks-equipped meal assistance robot trial made is introduced. Chopsticks have a variety of movements for foods handling and are familiar to people in Japan and other Asian countries. The grasp force control of chopsticks for the variety of foods by using the elasticity and maximum force information, is also described.

A robot that supports independent living by assisting with eating and other activities which use the operator's own hand would be helpful for people suffering from tremors of the hand or any other body part. The proposed system using adaptive filter estimates tremor frequencies with a time-varying property and individual differences online. In this study, the estimated frequency is used to adjusting the tremor suppression filter which insulates the voluntary motion signal from the sensor signal containing tremor components. These system are integrated into the control system of the Meal-Assist Robot. As a result, the developed system makes it possible for the person with a tremor to manipulate the supporting robot without causing operability to deteriorate and without hazards due to improper operation.

目的:本研究では,住民運営通いの場への参加促進要因を質的,帰納的分析により抽出し,その結果から,間接的支援のための支援構造を考察することを目的とした.対象と方法:個別インタビューはサロンの立ち上げに関与したA 氏に行い,フォーカス・グループ・インタビューは,サロン研究やそれに類似する高齢者介護研究を実施してきた研究者4 名に行い,結果を,帰納的に分析し,カテゴリ化を行い,カテゴリを説明する概念を付した.また先行研究を参考にし,さらに作業科学の知見を基にテーマを設定した.結果:people に関わる要因とplace に関わる要因に分類された.People に関わる要因は,作業的存在としてのbelonging とdoing に分けられた.考察:人を作業的存在として捉えたとき,サロンは,健康志向性を持った,高齢者の誰をも受け入れるbelonging を用意し,ソーシャルキャピタルを育成するdoing を提供しているplace であると整理できた.

目的:ソーシャルキャピタルを活用した介護予防の取り組みの在り方の参考のためにソーシャルキャピタルを活用した介護予防に関する文献レビューをした。対象:CiNii を用いて「介護予防」「ソーシャルキャピタル」を検索語として抽出された18文献を対象とした。方法:「タイトル」「発行年」「どのような主体を対象としているか」「研究概要」「結果」「ソーシャルキャピタル(SC)についての言及」を横軸としたレビューマトリックスを作成した。結果:「発行年ごとの文献数」「対象とする主体」「文献内容」「ソーシャルキャピタル(SC)についての言及」に着目し、整理をした。考察・結論:多様な実践が紹介されており、今後さらに多職種が連携した実践が増加することが予想された。

The purpose of this paper is to examine the current situation and problems of generational changes in the detached housing areas around Gakuenmae Station in Nara Prefecture, which are located in the inner suburbs of the Osaka Metropolitan Area and have gained a good reputation from the viewpoint of their residents and housing resources. The main methods employed are analyses of housing maps and public statistics, such as the Housing and Land Survey and Population Census, and interviews with real estate agents and residents’ associations. The main findings obtained can be summarized as follows:First, the populations in detached housing areas near train stations have experienced more rapid aging corresponding to when these areas were developed; furthermore, population decline has already occurred in these areas, mainly due to out-migration of the elderly home-owning residents or their deaths, rather than from the out-migration of people in their children’s generation. Second, many empty houses are expected to soon appear in these areas through a similar mechanism, since their population composition is currently biased toward elderly inhabitants who face generational changes. Third, in older detached housing areas, new in-migration has been hindered by large house lots, physical features (including steep slopes and the height difference between house and road), the inconvenience of external garages, and large costs. Fourth, in this time of shrinking demand for detached houses, the real estate market has shown a polarization between popular, well-conditioned properties with good accessibility to train stations and less popular properties located at a distance from stations.These findings suggest that signs of decline have already appeared even in the inner suburbs of the Osaka Metropolitan Area which had been regarded as exclusive and desirable residential areas.

日本では長らく広告にコケージアン・モデルを起用することの有用性が一種の定説とされ、実際に多くの広告でコケージアン・モデルが起用されていることが報告されている。一方、近年では、経済と企業活動のグローバル化がますます進んでおり、日本市場でも国内企業と外国企業の境界が一層あいまいになりつつあり、日本人の外国人や外国企業に対する意識も年々変わってきている。このような状況にも関わらず、現代の広告においても、コケージアン・モデルを起用した広告の割合は高いまま推移していることが報告されている。本研究では、日本での国際ビジネス環境の変化に鑑みて、改めて、日本人モデルとコケージアン・モデルの広告効果について検証し、日本におけるコケージアン・モデル優位仮説に基づく現代の広告作成の妥当性について考察した。本研究では、魅力度のほぼ同じコケージアン・日本人のモデルを用いた場合、(1)これまでの研究から推測されるように、読者の認知処理(広告要素の閲読方法や記憶正確度)は変わらないのか、(2)その一方で、商品や広告自体に対する印象、購買意欲といったような読者の心理的効果には差が見られるのか、についてペンタブレット装置を用いた視線追跡実験およびアンケート調査により検証した。実験の結果から、モデルの魅力度が同じ場合、モデル顔画像への最初の注目度、顔画像と重要な広告要素(商品名)との距離とその要素の記憶正確度の関係を調べた認知的実験では予測どおり、コケージアン優位性が認められなかった。また、コケージアン・モデル使用の心理効果については、従来の研究から予測されるとおり、高関与製品については、かなり明確なコケージアン優位性が認められた。一方、低関与製品についてはわずかな項目についてコケージアン優位性が認められただけである。このことから、現代広告の作成における効果的な外国人モデルの起用方法について、目的に応じて、認知的知見と心理的知見をうまく組み合わせる必要があると考えられる。

In this paper I would like to explain―taking a history of the early Heian period as a background the process of creation of national (i.e. Japanese) culture by the aristocracy who―since the An Lu-Shan's Rebellion―could observe from the Japanese Archipelago the first symptoms of the decline of the Tang dynasty in China.The Japanese of the Heian period, who―from the Chinese perspective―“lived at the frontiers of culture” (see: Umehara Takeshi, 2001) while being almost perfectly bilingual, did not deny Chinese culture, but on the other hand, they adapted from it the best and the most suitable aspects for their artistic images. I would like to show that process of aesthetical adaptation on the basis of an analysis of the part of “The Tosa Diary”, which is called to be a representative literary work in the Japanese literature of the 10th century. At present, most scholars agree that Ki no Tsurayuki was conscious of being avant-garde in the creation of national culture since the very moment he wrote Kanajo (The Japanese preface for the Kokinshu anthology) and since he attended the first poetry contests. But there are still different opinions concerning the appreciation of “The Tosa Diary” and determining its literary genre. I think that the so often mentioned eclecticism of the work was not Ki no Tsurayuki's isamiashi, i.e. literary failure (see: Hagitani Boku, 2000). In this paper I would like to prove that “The Tosa Diary” is a completed and intentionally written literary work (with the most important goal to discuss with the Chinese culture of the Tang dynasty), and its eclecticism was rather a result of groping for new expressions and a new literary genre in the process of creation of national culture.A famous French philosopher, Michel Foucault, wrote that relics of an ancient culture never are a message for the posterity and they can be understood only within the frames of the culture which had created them. So I think that we should stop using literary terminology, based on the Aristotle's “Poetics”, but we should describe the Heian literature using unique signs and aesthetical categories of that culture. Therefore, choosing “the sense of evanescence of the world” (mujôkan) as the most specific idea for the early Heian art and literature, I would like to explain one more enigma of “The Tosa Diary” and propose a new interpretation of the text.

宗教経済学は宗教の合理的選択理論を理論的核とし、個々人は合理的に行為するものであり、取り得る行為のコストと利益をはかりにかけ、自分にとっての純利益を最大化してくれる行為を選択する、という人間観を起点とする。そして、こうした合理的選択という観点から宗教を捉えることの利点は、宗教行為の多くが合理的であり、単なる無知や迷信、手前勝手な願望からのものではないことを示すことであるという。本稿は宗教経済学のこうした主張を、伊藤邦武による「パスカルの賭け」の議論と論争の整理を参照しながら検討することによって、宗教と合理性についての理論上の位置づけについて試論的な考察を加える。そのうえで、宗教経済学は外部の観察者の視点から見出される論理としての合理性を仮説的に提示する点において意義を有するが、そのことをもって宗教行為は合理的であるとする点において間違っていると結論する。
