岡県の一観光牧場で, 9日間に成兎60羽中53羽 (88.3%) が沈うつ症状を示して発症後数時間で死亡し, 死亡3例について病理学的に検索したところ, 兎出血病 (Rabbit hemorrhagic disease: RHD) に特微的な病変が認められた. すなわち, 組織学的に壊死性肝炎, 肺・腎臓における播種性血管内凝固が認められ, 抗RHDウィルスIgGによる免疫染色で肝細胞に陽性反応が認められた. また, 電子顕微鏡学的には, 壊死肝細胞細胞質にカリシウイルス様粒子が観察された. 死亡例の肝臓乳剤を接種された2羽の兎で本病の再現がなされ, 肝臓からカリシウイルス粒子が精製された. 今回の例は1994年 (北海道) に続いてわが国における第2件目であった.

日本におけるニホンウナギの自然分布域を明らかにするために,文献調査からシラスウナギの来遊記録をまとめ,耳石安定同位体比分析に基づく判別手法から全国の河川・湖沼から収集した個体を天然加入個体と放流個体に判別した。その結果,九州一帯,瀬戸内海沿岸,青森県以南の太平洋沿岸,京都府以南の日本海沿岸は自然分布域の主要部,福井県から青森県までの日本海沿岸は自然分布域の縁辺部と推定された。しかし,主要部であっても天然加入個体の割合が3割程度以下の場合もあり,資源が放流個体に依存している状況がうかがえた。

映画「風の谷のナウシカ」に登場する架空の乗り物であるメーヴェの飛行可能性を検討するために,実機を忠実に再現する模型を製作し,風洞試験によりメーヴェの空気力学的特性を明らかにした.また,風洞試験結果に基づいて,飛行に必要な基本的な性能および安定性の評価をおこなった.その結果,メーヴェは飛行を実現するのに十分な性能を有するが,現在の機体形状のままでは縦揺れの安定性を確保することができず,飛行の実現は困難であることがわかった.Mowe is a fictional flying vehicle appeared in the animated cartoon "Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind". The airframe configuration of Mowe is very unique without vertical and horizontal tail, and its main wing is only equipped with flaperon as a pitch and roll control surface. However, to realize a tail-less plane such as the Mowe, detailed consideration about the aerodynamic configuration is needed from a viewpoint of aeronautical engineering. In this paper, in order to obtain aeronautical characteristics, aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the scale model with deflectable flaperon were measured experimentally by using wind tunnel at Chiba University. And we also estimated aerodynamic performance and stability based on a result from wind tunnel testing and considered realization of the flight.

「紙の辞書」と「デジタル辞書」とは似て非なるものである。その視点に立つとまったく違う世界が見えてくる。2006年以来,国語辞典『大辞泉』はデータベースを使った常時改訂を実現し,年3回データを更新している。このデータベースシステムがなぜ生まれたのか。どのような考えで開発されたものなのか。そして,どのようなデータを作ることができるのか。さらに,このデータをどうやって商業ベースに乗せるのか。そしてその先に目指すものは何か。近年,辞書の編集が注目された。言葉を編集するという本質部分に変わりはないが,「デジタル辞書」の編集は書籍とはまったく違う発想が必要である。本稿では「デジタル辞書」と「紙の辞書」との違い,「デジタル辞書」の現状と,その可能性について紹介する。

The Contract Guidelines on Utilization of AI and Data by METI assume that appropriate negotiations are conducted in advance between the parties concerned regarding the licensing of data, etc. that do not fall under the category of copyrighted works. However, in practice, OSS licenses are often used to distribute training datasets and trained models that are not copyrighted works. It is understood that a license using an OSS license is valid when it is not immediately clear whether the object of the license is a copyrighted work. It is reasonable to interpret “use” in the license terms as equivalent to the “use” under the Copyright Act, even for data that is not a copyrighted work. The issues of commercial and for-profit use and so-called ShareAlike can also be considered on the premise of such an interpretation. It may be necessary to discuss the clause concerning the distribution of data that does not fall under the category of copyrighted works in an international data protection forum.

本稿は政治・社会史的なアプローチから, 英国の所得税廃止論争の再検討を試みたものである。1815年にナポレオン戦争が終結すると, 翌16年には英国議会で戦時所得税の存廃をめぐる激しい論争が展開された。これに際して, 所得税廃止を要求する大規模な請願運動が行われた結果, 与党トーリーが多数を占める下院で, 政府提出の所得税延長法案は否決された。本稿では, 従来看過されてきた他税種との関連性を重視することで, 先行研究とは異なる角度から所得税廃止論争を分析した。まず筆者は, この論争が所得税延長への反対だけでなく, 対仏戦争中に強化された多くの戦時増税への不満から生じた点に着目した。その上で, 請願運動における言説を分析し, 戦争中から蓄積されてきた納税者の不満が, 終戦後に一挙に表面化する過程を追跡した。さらに筆者は, 所得税廃止を主張する富裕層と麦芽税廃止を主張する中間層以下が, 減税要求に関して緊密に連携した点に注目した。その上で, 以前は別々に展開されてきた両者の請願運動が融合したため, 減税要求が激化したことを指摘した。

昨今,ブログやSNSが「炎上」したとの報道が後を断たない。「炎上」状態にあっては,民事・刑事的に名誉毀損にすら該当する批判的書き込みが溢れ返り,情報発信源は①閉鎖,②意見欄停止,③放置,などの対応を余儀なくされる。しかしながら,民事・刑事的な対応は稀である。本稿は,炎上状態の背景には「意図せぬ公人化」現象があると考える。「公人」概念を扱った裁判例の分析により,「公人」概念は幅を持ち,私人が「公人性」を備えることで名誉毀損からの保護が減弱するとの帰結が得られる。そして,「意図した公人化」と異なり,「意図せぬ公人化」においては保護減弱が不当であることを明らかにし,対応策として「公人」概念の不適用と名誉毀損罪の非親告罪化を提案する。

This paper reviews the role of empathy in autism spectrum disorders and psychopathy. Empathy can be subdivided into two categories: cognitive empathy (i.e., the ability to identify the emotions of others) and affective empathy (i.e., the ability to share or match the emotions of the self with those of others). Individuals with autism spectrum disorders lack cognitive empathy, whereas individuals with psychopathy lack emotional empathy. The similarity hypothesis states that people empathize with other people who are similar to themselves in personality and in conditions such as developmental disorders or typical development. The similarity hypothesis predicts that individuals with autism spectrum disorders would emotionally empathize with other people with autism spectrum disorders, and individuals with psychopathy would cognitively empathize with other people with psychopathy. Finally, we attempted to interpret autism spectrum disorders and psychopathy as resulting from the neurodiversity of empathy.
