In Europe, bancassurance, sales of insurance products through bank branch networks as a channel of distribution, have been increasing since the 1980s. Presently in France, more than fifty percent of life insurance products are sold at the bank branch networks by the bank-owned insurance subsidiaries. From the beginning of the 1990s, French banks began to enter the non-life market. However, they still don't show the same degree of competitiveness as they show with sales of life insurance products. The banking system differs a lot from a non-life insurance business. It is necessary for banks to set up a customer-oriented service including the treatment of accident and claim adjustments. Otherwise their strategy to enter non-life market would be unsuccessful. This is what we have deduced from an observation of the bancassurance in non-life markets in France.

オーディオデータのブラウジングは,その時間的特性から文書データのブラウジングよりも困難である.人間のもつカクテルパーティ効果と空間的位置の記憶の特性を利用して,音声データを効率よくブラウジングするための空間的インタフェースとしてDynamic Soundscape (DS)システムが知られている.本稿では,このDSアプローチを拡張して,音楽データを効果的にブラウジングするだけでなく編集も可能にするシングルユーザインタフェースシステムtutti (Total Utility for Time Travel Immersion)を提案する.

Host responses against mycobacterial infection result in protection and granulomatous inflammation. Mycobacterial and host factors participate in the process. Mycobacteria are rich in lipids that may be involved in the pathogenesis. Host responses against the infection include both cell-mediated immune responses (host defense) and delayed-type hypersensitivity (expression of lesions) . A surface glycolipid of tubercle bacilli acts as both nonspecific inflammatory stimulus and specific T cell-dependent immunogen. Hosts produce chemokines, proinflammatory and immunoregulatory cytokines in response to glycolipids. The event leads to the recruitment of mononuclear cells, angiogenesis, and apoptosis. Mycobacterial glycolipid is a pleiotropic molecule, which induces pathogenesis and protective responses in the host. The pathogenesis of mycobacterial disease is a multistep process, involving a complex interaction between a range of bacterial and host factors.

Fusion of myoblast cells and subsequent formation of multinucleated cells (called myotubes) are fundamental steps for generation of myofibers. In this review we focus on a role of phospholipid flippase complex ATP11A/CDC50A, a phospholipid translocase that transports phospholipids from the outer to the inner leaflets, during myotube formation. We show that translocation of phosphoatidylserine (PS) via phospholipid flippase is essential for positive regulation of PIEZO1, a mechanosensitive ion channel that is activated by membrane tension, thereby promoting RhoA/ROCK-mediated actomyosin formation that is critical for determination of myotube morphology.

システム正当化理論(Jost & Banaji, 1994)によると,人々は,たとえ格差がある社会でも,その現状を肯定するよう動機づけられており,そして,現状を正当化することで心理的安寧を得るという。また,こうした正当化は社会的地位の高い者だけなく低い者にも見られるという。本研究では,日本の既婚者(男性331人,女性339人)を対象に,ジェンダー格差の正当化(ジェンダー・システム正当化;GSJ; Jost & Kay, 2005; αs>.740)と人生満足度(LS; Diener, et al., 1985; αs>.925)の関連を検討した。LSを目的変数とし,性別,年齢,家庭全体の年収,GSJ,性別×年収,性別×GSJ,性別×GSJ×年収を説明変数とする重回帰分析を行ったところ,性別(女性の方がLS高),年齢(若いほどLS高),年収(年収高ほどLS高),性別×GSJの有意な効果が得られた(ps<.024)。下位検定の結果,女性はGSJが強いほどLSが高い(p<.001)が男性はGSJの効果は見られなかった(p=.172)。GSJ得点そのものは男性の方が高かった(p<.001)が,女性の中でジェンダー格差を正当化する者ほど,人生満足度が高いことが示され,システム正当化の緩和効果が確認された。
