本論文では18世紀前半に飛躍的な発展を遂げたフランスの王室図書館について,当時の図書館長ジャン・ポール・ビニョン(Jean Paul Bignon)という人物の活動から考察する。ビニョンの図書館長としての成果は広く知られているが,それ以前の文化機関での活動はあまり注目されてこなかった。そこで,館長就任以前の活動がどのように図書館改革に有効に生かされていったのかを検討することを通して,当時ヨーロッパ最大の図書館と言われた王室図書館がどのように改革されていったのかを総合的に理解する。

不確かな状態で被験者自身が行ったカフェインの摂取・非摂取の予想(初期判断)が,カフェインの中枢作用の自覚を反映する実験終了直後のカフェインの薬理効果の判定(最終的な自己判定)に及ぼす影響を調べた。結果は次の通りである。(1)被験者は,カフェイン無しやカフェインの効果無しなどの否定的判断を選択する傾向が強い。(2)カフェイン摂取・非摂取の自主的な予想の結果は,最終的な自己判定と一致する場合が多い。(3)実際のカフェインの摂取条件と異なる予想をした被験者の,薬理効果の自己判定にアンカー効果がみられた。

Observations of the nocturnal behavior of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica, were carried out using single or mixed populations of males, gravid females, ungravid females and nymphs. In captivity adult males were very active, did not concentrate on the feeding site, and spread widely in the walking area. Gravid females, in contrast, were quite different in their moving pattern from males. The majority of them never came out to the walking area, and only a few individuals gathered around the feeding place. The behavior of the roaches was also observed in the mixed populations. In a separate field study of capturing cockroaches by setting adhesive traps on the open space in a restaurant, the proportion of adult males, ungravid females and gravid females was 64%, 32%, 4%, respectively. The result was same as the above mentioned experiments.

Lethality and repellency of emulsifiable concentrates (EC) or microencapsulated concentrates (MC) of fenitrothion, diazinon, propetamphos and chlorpyrifos-methyl were examined with 12 separate colonies of the German cockroach, Blattella germanica. Field colony individuals were collected from 5 different restaurants situated on the 7th floor of a building in Koto-ku, and 7 restaurants located on the 5th floor of another building in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Adult male progeny of each colony were released into a container with insecticide-treated harborage surfaces. All colonies, except for the one from the Italian restaurant in Koto-ku, showed low levels of susceptibility to fenitrothion EC and MC, diazinon EC and MC, chlorpyrifos-methyl EC and propetamphos EC. However, the levels of lethality against colonies varied even though they originated from the same floor of a building. The poor efficacy of the test insecticides was probably a result of long-term use of these compounds in this area of building. Various susceptibilities among colonies indicate that the German cockroach does not frequently hybridize between restaurants even located on the same floor of a building. Propetamphos MC was the most effective against all exposed colonies, followed by fenitrothion MC and diazinon MC. Changes in behavior toward insecticides and insecticide resistance in the EC formulations may cause low mortalities in cockroaches. The test colonies showed two different types of low susceptibilities, one due to high aversion to the test formulations and another due to insecticide resistance.

実環境下での音声インタフェースの研究プラットホームとして,生駒市北コミュニティセンターの音声情報案内システム「たけまるくん」を開発した.本システムは,大語彙連続音声認識を基礎とする一問一答形式の音声インタフェースをもち,同センターや生駒市に関する受付案内を可能とする.システムはセンターのエントランスに常設され,開館時は誰でも自由にエージェントとのコミュニケーションを楽しむことができる.ユーザとシステムとのインタラクションの観察を目的とした5か月間にわたる本システムのフィールドテストを実施し,ユーザによる発話ログの収集を行った.本論文では,はじめに音声インタフェース部を中心に本システムの構成について説明する.フィールドテストの結果,男女幅広い年齢層のユーザによる発話を含む約1,362分の音声データを収集した.その分析の結果から,大人と子供で発話内容の傾向に違いはあるが,本システムは有効に利用されていることを示す.実験では,実際のユーザ発話によるベースラインの認識性能の評価を行い,大人に対して86%の単語認識率と76%の応答正解率を得ることができた.しかし,子供のユーザに対する精度が十分でないなど,音声インタフェースの実用化に向けて多くの課題が残されていることを確認した.

In order to hand down the endangered Ryukyuan language to posterity, we have made an audio database of all headwords and examples of the Ryukyuan language based on a number of dictionaries of Ryukyuan dialects, such as Dictionary of Nakijin Dialect and Dictionary of an Amami Dialect, on Semantic Principles. The database is available on the homepage of the library of the University of the Ryukyus. This paper will introduce the Audio Database of the Ryukyuan Language and also discuss the significance of the preparation of the database and problems to be solved in the future.
