We describe our knowledge-based service architecture for multi-risk environmental decision-support, capable of handling geo-distributed heterogeneous real-time data sources. Data sources include tide gauges, buoys, seismic sensors, satellites, earthquake alerts, Web 2.0 feeds to crowd source 'unconventional' measurements, and simulations of Tsunami wave propagation. Our system of systems multi-bus architecture provides a scalable and high performance messaging backbone. We are overcoming semantic interoperability between heterogeneous datasets by using a self-describing 'plug-in' data source approach. As crises develop we can agilely steer the processing server and adapt data fusion and mining algorithm configurations in real-time.

3種類の異なる様式の遠隔ヒーリングで300から11000km離れた所で受ける被験者を、盲検法または二重盲検法下で測定した。計測方法は単一矩形パルス法、近赤外線測光法、およびサーモグラフィーを用い、それぞれ、動的電気電導度や血流、自律神経機能、脳内酸素代謝、体表温度の変化を計測した。遠隔ヒーリングにおける驚異的な効果は、特に意識コンタクト様式ヒーリングで激しい体の動きや電気電導度と血流関連のパラメータBPの変化nとしてヒーリング中に起こる現象と同期して現れた。さらに、受け手が光のヴィジョンを見ていた間には脳内は酸素供給状態であったのが計測された。他の2様式では、遠隔ヒーリング中は副交感神経緊張の落ち着いた安静状態となった。また、ニューヨークと仙台間の実験では受け手の顔の温度分布に変化が生じた。ヒーラーが受手の特性や心身状態の情報を感知していたと思われる場合もあった。

This article describes psychological support provided by clinical psychologists (CPs), in liaison with other professionals, for the Great East Japan Earthquake victims at a secondary evacuation center located in central Tokyo. The purpose of this intervention is to prevent solitary death and suicides. Nurses and CPs had organizes a team which provided consultation about health problems, psychological and social concerns. The team worked well, because of having frequent conference and consultation. So, we exchanged and shared information and pursued solutions in cooperation. In about three months of our intervention, there were 740 visits in total and 92 out of them had complaints about mental problems. Forty of them were referred to CPs' interviews. Sleeplessness and nervousness were the most common problems among them. In such cases CPs had employed 'body and mind' approach, instructing them how to relax by breathing techniques. Fortunately, no solitary deaths and suicides have been reported so far. In conclusion, it is realized that the cooperation and mutual understanding among the professionals involved are the key to the success of this type of intervention and we should know each other and enhance the sense of cooperation through the daily clinical work.

本研究は,平成22(2010)年度日本農芸化学会大会(開催地 東京)での「ジュニア農芸化学会」において“優秀ポスター賞”に選ばれた.花に生息する野生の酵母・花酵母を分類し,その分布と花の種類との関係を調べ,さらには酵母の生態から花粉の媒体である昆虫の生態を観察しようとするユニークな発想と,実験に用いられている遺伝学的解析手法の完成度の高さから多くの研究者の注目を集めた.

1. Tree pollen season extended from the first week of April to the last week of June and significant trees were Birch, Alder, Oak, Spruce, Fir, Yew and Maple. Grass pollen season extended from the first week of June to the last week of August, but grass pollens were found until the middle of September. The most significant and abundant grasses were Orchard grass, Timothy, June grass, Rye grass and Red top, all of which were introduced. Weed pollens were found from the first week of June to the middle of September. Dominant weeds were Sheep sorrel, Blunt-leaved dock and Wormwood (Artemisia montana), but Short regweed, allergically troublesome plant, was not found anywhere in this area. The wormwood was found abundantly, showing a peak in the pollen counts at the begining of September in Sapporo area. 2. Variation in pollen incidence from year to year was wider in trees, particularly Birch, Alder and Maple, than in grasses. Counts of all pollen grains in 1 966 were recorded twice in 1965. Low pollen counts were obtained in the days when it was higher than 80% in relative humidity, and rainfall. Variation in pollen incidence from place to place was wide and high counts occured locally in the neighbouring area of Sapporo. Cyclic pollen releases in grasses were confirmed to particular times of day and the majority of the pollen was released in the early morning with mild wind. 3. The comparative study with the new pollen sampler (Durhams' standard sampler) and the old type of instrument (the pollen slide shelter employed in 1965 and 1966) during the grass season of 1967 revealed that higher counts were obtained with the old type than the new. 4. Vegetation of Hokkaido and Sapporo were described briefly from the point of view of allegy. Finally, the implication of this study were discussed.

In the scene of Paul's trial before the members of Sanhedrin, Paul called out, "Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees."(Acts of the Apostles 23:6). Some scholars comment on this statement as Paul's tactics. But J. Jervell says that this statement is not tactics but "Zeugnis". That is, Luke, the author of Acts, depicts Paul as a "Pharisaic Christian". So after his conversion, Paul remained faithful to the Jewish law and he had the hope in the resurrection of the dead. On the other hand, in his own letter, Paul looks on his former life as a Pharisee as "rubbish" (The Letter to the Philippians 3:8). But E. P. Sanders says that Paul did not have one single theology regarding the law. In The Letter to the Romans Paul regards the law as Sin (chapter 6). But on the other hand, for the most part he agrees with the behavior which the law requires. His own views of proper behavior, both 'ethical' and 'cultic'. were Jewish to the core. Paul the Apostle shared many of the characteristics of Paul the Pharisee. Thus, early Christianity and Judaism of those days did not always oppose each other. The relationship between them should be re-examined more carefully.

スギ花粉症に対する育種的な対策として, 着花量の少ない少花粉, 花粉中のCry j 1量が少ない低花粉アレルゲン性, 花粉を生産しない雄性不稔性に着目した。着花量の少ないスギ精英樹は全国で135クローン選抜された。この性質は複数箇所の検定林で再現性が確認され, 親子回帰による遺伝率も0.34と比較的高い値であった。花粉中のCry j 1量を全国の精英樹420クローンについて調査した結果, 0.38∼10.23 pg/個と大きな変異を示し, その狭義の遺伝率は, 1.0と高い値であった。このことから次世代での選抜効果が顕著に現れると期待された。無花粉になる雄性不稔性は一対の劣性遺伝子支配であることが明らかになり, その遺伝子をヘテロ型で保有した精英樹が4クローン発見された。優良な無花粉スギの作出に向けて, これら精英樹同士の交配家系が育成されている。スギ花粉症対策品種は, 現在, さし木等によるクローン増殖やミニチュア採種園による種子生産が図られており, これらを上手く活用することによって従来の木材生産性を損なうことなく, 花粉飛散量の軽減に繋がると考えられた。
