The aim of this study is to clarify the characteristics of creative concept generation process in design. The authors analyzed the characteristics of the concept generation process by comparing between the linguistic interpretation task and design task, from the viewpoints of the thought types (analogy, blending, and thematic relation) and recognition types (commonality, alignable difference and nonalignable difference). In our experiment, the subjects were required to interpret a novel noun-noun phrase, create a design concept from the same noun-noun phrase, and list the similarities and dissimilarities between the two nouns. The results reveal that blending and nonalignable difference are important factors of the creative concept generation process.

腹部や付属肢の特徴から,石垣島・西表島産の陸生サワガニの新属(Ryukyum)がヤエヤマヤマガニNanhaipotamon yaeyamense Minei,1973に対し新設された.新属は腹板の構造,第3顎脚,雄の腹部,雄の第1腹肢・第2腹肢等にNanhaipotamonとの相違が見られる.ヤエヤマヤマガニは山間部の陸域に生息し,放卵期に湿地や水辺に集まる傾向がある.大卵を数少なく産む.

方形波の分散によるひずみ波形をフーリエ級数展開近似による方法で計算し、方形波の分散波に関する特徴的形状をまず提示した。ついで、片持ばりに方形波を入力した場合について、有限要素法による数値解と実験から分散波に近い結果を得、現実に波形ひずみが生じていることを明らかにした。さらに、固有モードの形成過程を考察し、高い振動数ほど速く形成されることを明らかにした。

本稿では、デコーダに付加情報を与えて復号画像の画質改善を行う動画像符号化方式に関する検討を行なう。はじめに、一枚の静止画像を互いに独立に符号化し、その復号画像を重ね合わせることによる量子化誤差の低減効果を示し、次に、その効果の動画像符号化への応用として、デコーダに補助情報として符号化規格を超える精度の動きベクトルを与えることによる符号化画質改善手法を提案する。さらに、エンコーダでのベクトル検出条件と動き補償・合成の参照画像について改善を加えた動画像符号化方式を提案し、画質改善効果と圧縮効率の向上を ITE 標準動画像を用いた実験によって示す。This paper presents a new video coding method which improves PSNR of decoded pictures by using additional information. Firstly, we show a pixel shift effect which brings PSNR improvement by composing multiple compressed images extracted from an original image and, as an application of the pixel shift effect, we then propose a video coding method which sends higher precision motion vectors to a decoder as additional information. We especially focus on how to select effective motion vectors at an encoder and how to decide mixture of decoded pictures for improving PSNR. Finally, we show experimental results that present improving R-D characteristics of H.263+.

薬学は幸せを求める人類の要求に応えるために生まれた学問である.したがって, 人間社会に役立たない存在となったときには生命を失なうはずのものであろう.現在の薬学が社会に役立たないものとなっているとは思わない.だからこそ, 薬科大学が栄え, 薬剤師会・薬学会が発展をとげているのであろう.しかし, 薬学の分化・高度化が進むと, とかく社会との関りの深さが忘れがちになる.18世紀から19世紀にかけてのノーベル賞級の化学の発見はいずれも町の薬局から生まれた.ある意味では, 社会と薬学は密接に結びついていた.技術革新の進んだ今日では, どのような様式によって, 薬学と社会を強く結びつけていくのがよいのだろうか.

本稿では,著者らの提案した,耐故障プロセッサの性能を解析的に評価するための確率モデルに関する追加的な議論をおこなう.はじめに,著者らの用いた評価尺度である相対性能比の意味を,Pradhanらの関連研究における評価尺度との関係から述べる.つぎに,相対性能比の平均と分散に関するより厳密な解析を示す.

新聞における企業活動に関するの記事など事象が明確に記述される文書では、情報抽出における抽出精度の向上や処理の複雑さを低減するために、事象構造の制約により名称抽出などの部分構造抽出を行なうのが効果的と考えられる。このようなに考えに基づき、トップダウン処理のパターン解析により事象構造を決定し、事象構造を制約として名称認識を行ない,さらには実世界との対応付けを行なうシステムを作成した.このシステムを用いて新聞の組織合併情報,新製品情報からの情報抽出の実験したところ,組織名適合率80?90%,合併事象の抽出率55?715%を得た.The information on the event structure improves the quality of information extraction and reduces the complexity of the process for the documents that express the events clearly, such as newspaper articles on corporate activities. We developed an extraction system that generates event structures by the topdown pattern analysis and extracts named entities based on the restriction given by the event structures. After the pattern analysis, the system relates the extracted entities with the real world entities. An experiment of extraction from news articles on corporate mergers and new products shows 80-90% precision for the name of organizations and 55-75% precision for the merger events.

Da der Verdacht einer Ausscheidung von Zysten bei Dysentherieamoba, trotz der wichtigen Rolle fur eine Ubertragung der Krankheit, falls er sich als berechtigt erweisen sollte, im Inlande noch keiner Nachprufung unterzogen wurde, hat sich der Verfasser, den Untersuchungen einer eventuellen Zystenbildung der Ruhramoba und der Zystenzuchtung gewidmet. Er erhielt folgende Ergebnisse: 1) Bei 6 an Amobenruhr Kranken, welche im Jahre 1931-34 in unsere Klinik aufgenommen worden waren, stellte man in allen diesen Fallen fest, dass im Rekonvaleszenzstadium fortdauernd Amobenzysten im Stuhle entleert wurden. 2) Die Zuchtung der Amobenzysten wurde unter Anwendung des von dem Verfasser modifizierten Tanabeschen Verfahrens ausgefuhrt, wobei zahlreiche lebhaft sich bewegende Amoba in der Kultur nachgewiesen wurden. Wir konnten sie als Entamoba histolytica tierexperimentell bestatigen, indem wir unter Einfuhrung der Kultur in den Dickdarm einer jungen Katze beinahe dieselben Befunde wie bei der Amobenruhr des Menschen konstatierten. 3) Auf Grund obiger Versuche kann geschlossen werden, dass die Zystenausscheidung wirklich auch im Inland als Infektionsquelle fur Amobendysentherie nachweisbar und das Zuchtungsverfahren nicht nur fur die Diagnosestellung, sondern auch was die Untersuchungen der Morphologie und der biologischen Eigenschaften der Amoba anbelangt von wesentlicher Bedeutung ist.

会議などの人々の集まる場にネットワークを構築し,参加者の計算機を接続することで,様々な情報交換や共有が可能となる.本稿では,そのような場における情報の交換に有用な共有ファイルシステムONFS(Offhand NetworkFilesystem)を提案する.会議などの場に設置されるネットワークは,その場だけで一時的に運用される.そのため,(1)計算機の接続と切り離しが頻発する,(2)構成メンバがその場によって異なる,という状況が生じる.既存のシステムで(1)?<,(2)の状況に対応するためには,その場での繁雑な設定作業をしなければならない.そこで,これらの問題を解決するために,我々は NFS(Network File System)をベースに,サーバの自動探索,一時ユーザの管理,切断時の対応処理の機能をONFSに実装した.ONFSを利用することで,ユーザは計算機をネットワークに接続するだけで即座にファイル共有を実現できる.In places where people come together, such as a meeting, participantscan exchange and share information if they build a network with theircomputers. In this paper, we propose a shared file system, ONFS(Offhand Network Filesystem), which is useful to exchange information.The temporary network is employed only at that place and time. As aresult, the followings occur; (1) computers are connected anddisconnected frequently, and (2) members vary from place to place.Existing systems impose users to handle troublesome settings undersuch situations. To solve these problems, we implemented followingfunctions on ONFS, based on NFS (Network File System); an automaticserver searching, a temporary user management, an operation atdisconnection. Users using ONFS can share files immediately byconnecting a computer.
