社会的養護を受ける子どもたちの措置先の一つである里親家庭は,子どもたちの一時的な養育を行う.里親家庭に委託された子どもは,実家庭への復帰,あるいはその見込みがない場合は,18 歳での自立を目指すことになる.里親 家庭の養育期間は,子どもの実親の状況と児童相談所の決定に依る.児童相談所の決定によって,里親家庭から施設あるいは実親の家庭に復帰することを措置変更というが,本稿では,インタビュー調査によって得られた,ある措置変 更事例を検討する. 対象にするのは,里親子関係が良好である中で,実親との交流のために,突然,子どもが児童養護施設に措置変更された事例である.本稿の目的は,この同一の措置変更事例をめぐる,児童相談所職員,里親支援機関職員,養育里親の三者の視点を捉えることにある.そのうえで,児童相談所から措置以外の里親業務全般を受託している民間里親支援機関の介入が里親に与える影響を考察する.併せて,措置変更の際に生じた児童相談所と里親の立場の違いに着目する.

This paper discusses the social identity of high school students with low vision (LV) during an interschool interaction. We adopted symbolic interactionism as a theoretical perspective to clarify how both LV and sighted students’ awareness and social identities develop mutually in their interactions. We videotaped a one-day interschool interaction between groups of students with and without visual impairment. Subsequently, we conducted stimulated recall interviews with nine LV and 13 sighted participants. Through interpretative phenomenological analysis, we extracted three themes: the ambiguity of actual identity, the uneasiness and devaluation LV students feel, and the roles of supporter and learner of knowledge about disability. The results revealed that the LV students’ actual identities during the interaction were not simply those of impaired beings who were always supported by others. Furthermore, their virtual and actual identities fluctuated in comparison to sighted students. We argue that this identity destabilization is significant for LV students’ identity development, thus, making it imperative to discuss the quality of interschool interactions to create meaningful opportunities for LV students.

In this paper, I studied what kind of organizational culture Kazuo Inamori tried to foster in Kyocera by analyzing the message of him published in Kyocera’s in-house newsletter “Respect the Divine and Love People (Keiten-Aijin)”. Through the quantitative text analysis, it’s found that since 1973, his remarks have increased dramatically, and he tried to convey a lot of messages to employees in response to changes in the environment inside and outside the country.What is characteristic of the content of the remark is the large number of words “heart (Kokoro)”. It is probable that Kyocera’s values, which Inamori himself called “heart-based” management, were reflected in the in-house newsletter. The content of the remarks varied from year to year, and there was a change in the relative frequency of mentions, especially in the 1970s and after 1981. In the 1970s, there were relatively many references to issues, policies, and goals within the company, but since 1981, there has been an increase in references to the inside of people. It seems that this is because Inamori tried to extract Kyocera’s values and management principles from his own experience and pass them on to employees before he retired from the front line.At the same time, the meaning of “heart” seems to have become more multifaceted and fertile. In addition to the good intentions and sincerity that form the basis of people’s relationships of trust, the “heart” has come to represent the criteria for decision-making and the driving force for realizing aspirations. Finally, I mention some future issues.

Our images of the Mediterranean ancient civilizations were formed through the excavations and reseraches made by modern European countries. However, do these images reflect the ancient civilizations properly? In this paper, I take up the case of the excavation of "Palace of Konossos" by Sir Arthur Evans and reexamine the process of image-formation of this archaeological site. (1) Influence of Green Myth Evans had been deeply influenced by the Greek Myth of "the King Minos and the Labyrinthos". Evans believed that the building he found must be the King Minos' Labyrinthos (Fig.2). When he found a room in which a stone chair was installed, he concluded that this was the room of the king and named it "The Throne Room." He rehabilitated the room completely through many conjectures (fig.3). His interpretation of this building as the king's palace is uncertain. We must admit that this is the image made by Evans influenced by the Greek Myth. (2)Influence of Modern European Culture The Image-formation of the Minoan Culture was also influenced by the modern European culture. Europeans found that the aesthetic taste of ancient Minoans was similar to theirs (Fig.4,5). For example, they believed "Dolphin Fresco" in the "Queen's Megaron" as the manifestation of the love towards nature and formed a romantic image of the Minoan culture (Fig.6,7), but it is not certain whether such remains are manifestations of theis own naturalism. This seems to be the typical case of the image-formation problem. (3)Prince to the Lilies Evans reconstructed the notorious fresco "Prince of the Lilies" (Fig.9). Evans (and E. Gillieron) put together few remains of the fresco and favricated a clear image of the"Priest King." In fact, their reconstruction was dubious. Many scholars have tried to present a new reconstruction, but Evans' original image has been so influential that we cannot get rid of its power even today (Fig.10,11).

Pepper yellow leaf curl disease (PepYLCD) caused by begomoviruses is one of the most devastating diseases affecting pepper (Capsicum spp.) production worldwide. In our previous study, a loss-of-function allele, pepy-1, encoding messenger RNA surveillance factor Pelota was identified as a begomovirus resistance gene from a C. annuum cultivar BaPep-5. In this study, to investigate the effectiveness of pepy-1 conferred resistance against begomovirus in the field, we conducted a three-year evaluation under natural field conditions in Indonesia. The lowest PepYLCD incidence and significantly higher fruit productivity were observed in BaPep-5 when compared to six other commonly cultivated pepper cultivars. The subsequent comparison between BaPep-5 and the susceptible BaPep-4 showed that pepy-1 slowed down the disease onset and progression, resulting in a higher fruit productivity trait in the field. Multiple comparison analyses using an F2 population obtained by crossing BaPep-5 with BaPep-4 showed that the pepy-1 homozygous individuals had significantly higher fruit productivity, twice than those of the Pepy-1 homozygous or heterozygous individuals. In conclusion, the introgression of pepy-1 is effective to reduce the economic loss of pepper fruit production under natural field infection of begomoviruses.
