本研究の目的は,ビジネスユニットのマネジャーの個人差が自身のユニットの業績に与える影響を検証することにある.経営者やマネジャーが誰であるかによって意思決定が異なり,その結果として業績も異なるということは,多くの企業実務や経営学の研究において前提となっている.しかしながら,マネジャーが誰であるかによって担当するビジネスユニットの業績にどの程度の違いが生じるのかについて,理論的予測は必ずしも一貫しておらず,実証的な証拠も示されていない.そこで本研究では,株式会社ドンクにおける店舗別の財務・人事データを用いて,マネジャーの個人差が組織業績に与える影響の有無とその大きさを推定した.検証の結果,マネジャーの個人差は,ビジネスユニットの業績に対して経済的に重要な影響を与えるということを発見した.加えて,推定された個人差は,マネジャーのキャリア,年齢の違いと有意に関係していることを発見した.

Malanjkhand copper project, Madhya Pradesh, India, generates a lot of lean sulphidic ores containing chalcopyrite (∼0.3% of copper) with traces of oxidized, semi-oxidized and secondary sulfides. EPMA analysis shows that the granitic rock samples have plagioclase feldspar, orthoclase feldspar and quartz as major constituents within which the ore minerals are sparsely distributed. Due to the complex structure and low solubility of the sulphide-bearing granitic rock, the dissolution of copper from the hard matrix is difficult. The present study deals with change in crystallographic and chemical nature of the mineral system present in the host rock. In an attempt to increase copper recovery, the ore was subjected to heating at 600°C under normal atmospheric conditions. This heat treatment resulted in enhanced copper recovery, up to 98% within 60 days of progressive leaching.

Oxygen is essential to most forms of life, but too much oxygen is harmful and can elicit tissue damage. Living creatures, therefore, have a tightly regulated system to deliver the necessary amount of oxygen to specific tissues at the right time. Red blood cells are ideal vehicles for delivering oxygen to tissues. Band 3 protein is the major membrane protein of red blood cells. The major membrane protein supports the oxygen delivering system by its anion exchange activity, cooperating with carbonic anhydrase and hemoglobin. Band 3 protein has unique structure within the molecule. Here, we briefly review the structure and function of band 3 protein.

金融危機の影響で、"国家破綻"の瀬戸際に直面する新興国が急増している。10月27日、アイスランド政府が管理下に置いた最大手のカウプシング銀行で、500億円の円建て債券(サムライ債)の債務不履行が発生。国際通貨基金(IMF)から最大20億ドルの緊急融資を受けることで暫定合意していたが、事実上国有化した銀行の債務不履行で事態の深刻さが改めて露見した。

外来植物セイタカアワダチソウが侵入したことで,絶滅危惧種オオルリシジミや希少な食糞性コガネムシの生息環境がどのような影響を受けたかについて節足動物相を調査することで解明を試みた.また,草原生態系における捕食‐被食関係の解明の一環として,希少な草原性の食糞性コガネムシや土壌節足動物に関する調査を実施するとともに,捕食-被食関係を調査し,オオルリシジミを中心とした食物網を解明した.また,セイタカアワダチソウが侵入した環境において,除草の効果を評価した.研究期間中,阿蘇山の噴火や熊本地震により調査地が被害を受け,当初計画した一部の研究は実施ができないなどの問題も生じたが研究成果の公表に努力した.

症例は51歳男性で1983年6月23日左肺癌にて左上葉切除術およびリンパ節郭清が施行された. 組織学的には高分化型腺癌でpT2NOMO, stageIの診断であった. その後肺再発にて, 初回手術の3年6ヵ月後に左下葉部分切除術を, その4年8ヵ月後に左のCompletion Pneumonectomyを, さらにその1年9ヵ月後に右肺上葉の部分切除術をと, 3回の肺再発にて初回手術を含め合計4回の肺切除を施行した. 本症例は組織学的所見を考慮し, すべて初回手術時の再発肺癌と診断したが, 再発に対する積極的な再手術により本例のように比較的良好な予後を呈する症例が存在するので, 呼吸機能の評価で可能であれば, 積極的な外科治療が必要と思われる.

本研究は,小学校4年生の教科書で出てきたカタカナ表記の語を英語母語話者が英単語として発音する場合,どの程度,児童がカタカナ語として認識できるかを調査することを目的とした。英語母語話者に依頼して録音した39話を,3つのグループの児童に横断的に聞かせ,その語をカタカナで表記させた。その結果,正答率が高い単語は,lemon, bus, mama, pen, juice, sport, time, cake, orangeの9語であり,lemon, bus, mama, pen, juice, sportの6語は正答者数が8割を超えていた。これらの単語は,mama以外は,すべて『英語ノート』で取り扱われる語彙リストに含まれていた。一方,正答率の低い単語では,world, hundred, leagueの3語で正答者かいなかった。これらの単語の特徴を明らかにするために,正答にならなかった児童の回答を分析したところ,児童は知っている類似する単語に置き換えたり,音声的に認知した文字で答えようとしたりしていた。全体としては,他の教科書や副読本に出てきたカタカナ英語を母語話者が英語として発音した場合,児童がカタカナ語で正確に表記した割合は,36.75%であった。以上の結果から,カタカナ英語において「表記しやすいカタカナ英語」「表記しにくいカタカナ英語」のそれぞれの特徴を分析し,カタカナ英語を活用するための具体的な方法の手がかりを提案した。

Although “symmetry in language” may be related to the origin of the language, many linguists do not seem to show interest in this problem. Why do linguists not show interest in symmetry? There seem to be at least three reasons. (1) Concerning “reference”, there have been many disputes in the philosophy of language. Nowadays, more complex problems than symmetry attract researchers in the field of semantics. (2) Saussure pointed out that the system of language does not concern the symmetry between “thing and name”. (3) For linguists, a more important research theme is the elucidation of the relationships between the elements inside the language structure.

日本経済に明るい見通しを期待する発表が出始めているが, 酒類業界においては酒類の総消費数量が減少傾向を示しており, 消費の伸びが期待できない材料が多く見受けられる。<BR>そこで, 総務省の家計調査を基に消費者の嗜好の変化や消費行動などについて分析を試みたところ, 若者の酒離れ, 低価格商品へのシフトといった傾向が顕著となっている。<BR>将来に向かって酒類市場が縮小していくと思われる中で, 流通を含めた酒類業界全体で業界構造を見直し, 低価格商品への依存から脱却して, 収益を重視した取り組みを考える時期が来ていると提唱している。
